The "fig tree" reference is often interpreted as a reference to when the State of Israel would be established.

In the case where the fig tree represents the new State of israel, it would mean that the messiah does not arrive before that event and thus not before the Spring of 1948. But it also would mean the messiah has to arrive very shortly thereafter. The messiah was born in January of 1950. He must be tested for 40 years and thus up to 1939, the beginning of the 70th week of the 2nd coming.

ive just been reviewing my timeline of the divided jewish monarchy and the neo-babylonian period.

i decided to check for correlations of egyptian and assyrian rulers mentioned in the bible that i had not previously considered at all (much less tried to make fit a particular year).

i was happy (though unsurprised) that no adjustments were required.. pharaoh tirhakah (taharqa) (2ki 19:8, 9; isa 37:8, 9) insight (volume 2, page 1109) claims the years assigned to him by historians must be wrong.

Jeff... you're acliché! I could be totally insane but still right about history and chronology. So you are talking nonsense before you begin.

But sense we are at this point, let me tell you my process and what I'm thinking.

Your chart took a lot of work and was extremely well done. Something his well done borders on brilliance. That level of brilliance is rare so my first presumption is that someone else is helping you. But another reason why I think you're getting "help" is because of Freemasonry. One tactic of Freemasonry is to inundate the internet with so much commentary that it makes it hard to find objective or contradictory commentary. So the only reason anyone would put out something this detailed is to make it seem authentic.

In contrast to that, my position on things like the 70 years is quite academic. Once I provided you with a direct quote from Joephus about the traditional Jewish view of the 70 years, a difficult point for anyone promoting the revised timeline, you blew me off. So I know you're not real nor serious. You're actually just a propagandist and your best shot, apparently is to label me as crazy.

But this is standard for someone wanting someone with the truth to be discredited. I refer you to a movie "Electric Horseman" starring Jane Fonda and Robert Redford. Basically, he steals this prize horse because the corporation who bought him is abusing the horse by giving him steroids. A reporter finds him and does an interview. In an attempt to protect their image, the corporation puts out negative publicity on the cowboy, reporting his alcoholism and erratic behavior and suggests he's "crazy", etc. in an attempt to keep people from listening to him. So that is all that is happening here. If you really had the goods, it would be simply a matter of presenting your side of the story and contradicting me. Some don't even believe the Bible is accurate or true, so I could be dismissed that way. But calling me "crazy" simply shows how desperate this is and only causes me to wonder why this "70 years" or the Exodus is so vitally important so that you don't want to even discuss it.

Now I could be wrong...and if so, so be it. But that's my response. Whether I'm crazy or not has nothing to do with the argument. So you just make yourself look desperate when you resort to that tactic.

In the meantime, you're not a psychiatrist that I know of and you sure haven't examined me to know for sure just what my mental state is, so making that claim that I'm a schizophrenic and that that is the basis for my historical and Biblical positions is just desperation on your part as well. That makes you a JOKE, academically.

Even so, I'm glad you posted the chart.

Second, I'm DEFINITELY THE CHRIST. I know you can't believe it now, but I have to make sure I've confirmed this so that later you can't claim I didn't hide this from you. My day of vindication will come soon, if not already, since you lost credibility here. You should stick to the material and stop making personal attacks.

Very intellectual. I totally related to this.

I'm a creationist, though, so I think man's intellectual acapcity was created and not developed over time. In fact, I saw one post that suggested we are getting dumber, not smarter.

The other thing is the presumption there is no physical proof of God. That is, that the concept of God is completely subjective. But the reaction to that concept when I read it immediately caused me to think of the Exodus. That is, I have an academic problem in regards to the existence of a living God in connection with my interpretation and investigation of the Exodus. It's really quite simple.

I'm a Biblical chronologist and so am into all sorts of esoteric interpretation of chronology. 1947 is a key event which fulfills the Jews return to their homeland, but it also fixes other jubilee events including the Exodus, which must be dated to 1386 BCE. So just out of curiosity, having this date, I investigated what was going on in Egypt around 1386 BCE. What I found was an archaeological confirmation for the fall of Jericho within 40 years but also that the Exodus would have begun the reign of Akhenaten, the pharaoh that converted to monotheism. So in my mind, that was a total connect. The 10 plagues was a major event in the Bible affecting the entire country. One would think there would be some evidence of that, even if not historical, then circumstantial. Obviously we'd first look at any religious impact on the nation, particularly in the direction of monotheism. But that is exactly what happened! The entire nation at this time suddenly became monotheists under Akhenaten.

So in my mind, this is rather convincing evidence that the 10 plagues happened but that also, there's a living god. So your concept that the idea of god is completely subjective can only work if there is absolutely zero evidence of any specific god or his activities. Thus thanks to you, I realized how critical the sudden monotheism of Akhenaten really was, because it doesn't afford you to think all gods are simply imaginary. The sudden monotheism suggests or proves that the 10 plagues actually happened.

So thank you. I guess there is some evidence of God's activities besides creation. But otherwise, in particular for all the other false gods, I would agree that those gods in the minds of those people serve a subjective purpose and can be assigned to an invention. The exception is the god of the Bible which if you get the chronology right, does prove himself to be a real god, especially in the case of the Exodus.

So thanks again. Of course, I've since had more direct interaction with God and holy spirit since I'm one of the elect, so I know from that experience that God exists, but even so, my first reaction to that premise was the evidence of the Exodus. So I hadn't seen the significance of proof of God in connection with the Exodus, Akhenaten and monotheism until just now.

Those on the wrong side of reality are often quite intolerant. These are also insecure. Those who are self-assured and confident in their own beliefs are not afraid to make a "defense for their faith." They don't mind hearing others' viewpoints. They don't call people "crazy" just to avoid a confrontation.

Note the Greek word for "earthquake" (seismo) can refer to a tempest (storm) and other sorts of social unrest. Thus in the context of social conditions in the world, what is translated as "earthquakes in one place after the other" is likely better translated as instabilities in place after the other.

Many secrets would be closed to understanding until the end times arrived. They have arrived and now we are looking back at many fulfilled prophecies.

The "7 times" prophecy requires the 2nd coming to occur in a specific year, 2520 years from the fall of Jerusalem. The tricky part is getting the correct date for the fall of Jerusalem. Even so, you have a choice of three dates of focus: 607 BCE, 587 BCE and 529 BCE.

Therefore, when you put the chronology in place, the "signs" were just confirmations of what would be going on and everything has been fulfilled.

The "end" that the Jews were concerned with, was the "end of the system of things" of gentile domination. Thus the "end" actually occurred on November 30, 1947 when the Partition Agreement went into effect to restore Jews to their homeland.

That very year, N.H. Knorr went on a worldwide speaking tour, demonstrating the "good news" had reached around the globe throughout the world of Christendom. But it also literally fulfilled that prophecy about the good news being preached worldwide just before the end came. Some think the "end" refers to Armageddon, but that is not the case.

That's exactly how the WTS handles challenges -- they label and then dismiss. They label opposers and critics as "apostates" and then command that they not be given a voice. You can start with the 70 years. If your chart does not reflect the 70 years then it is WRONG. Period. OR, at least it is non-Biblical.

Look folks! If you post false propaganda, you invite and have to accept criticism! If you write a book, it's going to get reviewed. Jeffro is clearly out of his league here, though his chart is brilliantly prepared. He can't deal with it, so he's running like the rest of them who can't compete with my knowledge. They want to push their own agenda here, playing on the ignorance of others what is actually out there. That works for the majority, but not someone like me who has 10+ years at several universities on these topics. Jeffro claims I'm crazy but he's far more in DENIAL than anybody. I think he's passionate about his own views and conclusions but can't handle someone else having their own opinion that doesn't agree with him.

Don't forget, the WTS warns you against talking to "apostates" and tries to scare you away from them. Jeffro doesn't want people to listen to me. It's the same thing. Rather than dealing with the issues and providing rebuttal, both the WTS and Jeffro like to label those they can't deal with as unworthy of discussion. I may be crazy, but Jeffro is not honest. Glad I have the truth and my chronological assets covered!

The chart is well done and may fool a lot of people, but I'm not one of them.

I am confused by the "reserrection" doctrine. Who will be raised first Old testament people or people who die right before Armaggeddon?

i have always wondered who will be raised first people such as noah, job, enoch, etc; or people who die right before armaggeddon?

if noah, job, are raised first would not they be terrified with all of the modern inventions they will see such as cars, airplanes, clothes, watches, tvs, radios, and all of the modern technologies.

also, if people lived to 900 years back then would not methusalan be shocked if a person raised tells him they were only 20 years old when they died?

Quick and easy 607 question

really, this should be easy if you have the cd rom (i don't).. somewhere in the societies publications, they try to denigrate the reliability of an ancient tablet by citing a source which shows big gaps in the translation (lots of [] and .

's) evidently because this tablet was so beat up and broken, half the words are missing, thus secular historical records are worthless, trust the bible.. if i remember this correctly, the actual source of the quote goes on to say something to the effect of 'fortunately the obverse side of the tablet contains all the information in tact' - a fact the wt conveniently leaves out.. i had thought this quote was either from insight or the all scripture book, but i can't find it in either.

anyone know what publication this is from?

I used the WT CD to search for all instances of "obverse" and found nothing similar to what you note. Most of those references are noting coins or jewelry written on both sides, with no reference to any observe side being readable vs. the reverse side.

But in the most general sense, I don't know of any other texts that are written on both sides besides the VAT4956. When you mention "half" the words are missing it reflects in my mind that the VAT4956 does have half the text missing. that is, we have the top half of the text only, months 1 through three on the obverse side and the last months of the year on the reverse side.

The only astronomical text previously supported by the WTS was the Strm. Kambyses 400 and I'm not sure if this is a text written on both sides or not; I suppose that can be confirmed. But I know there is commentary about how many lacunae are in the text.

Otherwise, I'd ask if you have ever read CO Jonsson's Gentile Times Reconsidered? If you have, you might be confusing some materials in his work with what you thought was printed in a WTS publication. I think he discusses enough texts that have part of the text missing but a some part of the text is completely readable. Otherwise, I'm coming up blank.
