  Did You Have Any Weirdo JWs In Your Hall?

  in the 2 halls i was in, there were a few.

  but the most memorable one was an elderly pioneer who would ask the householder if they wanted to hear about "the truth".

  when they quite naturally said ,"no", he responded with, "if you don't believe in jesus, jesus will turn you into a pig"!.

  Are There Certain Posters You Trust Here?

  i've been on this site for a number of years now.

  i don't easily trust just anybody.

  having said that, there are a few persons here that know my real identity and i'm comfortable with them.. are there certain posters that you trust here?.

  For me this board is for us JW that are in different stages of trying to leave the org.There would be no reason not to trust any one in the same situation.The advice I have received has been very helpful....

  Wife Went to the Library Today

  whilst i was out enjoying myself , looking at very expensive cars, in london, this afternoon.

  my wife went to the library and got a out a some books including, combatting cult mind control by steven hassan (hooray!!!

  ), the definitive bible commentary by owen collins and another book called before the flood by ian wilson which she currently reading upstairs in bed.

  Thats very good....she must be thinking about things.I'm also going to get Steven Hasson book.Today I got in the mail In Search Of Christian Freedom.It is alot larger then I thought it would be.....Can't wait to start it...good luck to you..

  Did You Personally Know Any JWs That Were Sexually Molested By Other JWs?

  i knew of a handful (which is too many) that were molested by a jehovah's witness.

  it was not typical in my experience.

  what about you???.

  I can also remember when a friend of mines daughter was TESTED by an elder to see if she could take care of her self.Don't know what happen but this is what he told her parents that he was testing her...12 year old. When I was in Mexico for a while I was told to keep my son away from a bro that liked little boys.I guess if we all think back we have many stories...

  I have a bad experience with a pioneer bro touching my 8 year old daughter.This is a very long time ago.Nothing was ever done to him except a slap on the hand.I have often wondered what ever happen to him...I have read that this kind of a problem doesn't go away.I'm just now reading about all the problems of child molesters in the cong.Years ago it wasn't something you even talked about....UNBIEVEBLE... this bro was 18 years old.

  hi, after a couple of years of 'lurking' i thought i'd join up.

  i'm an ex-dub from vancouver island.

  i've been out of the org for aprox' 10 yrs, after being in it for about 28 years.. i post on "jehovahs witness recovery forum" as 'nightgoat', so i thought i'd wander over here & see how you guys are doing.. recently under went some major shunning from parents & siblings & retaliated with a barrage of 'reverse-shunning' in an effort to teach them how to treat my wife & i.. hope i can be of some encouragement to any, on this board.. my daughter has been a member here for 3 yrs.
