  Crazy talk about the Middle East seems to be escalating, backed up by some pretty ominous military deployments. First, the department of scary statements:
  
  First up, Shabtai Shavit, former chief of the Israeli spy agency Mossad, speaking June 21 at Bar Ilan University, Tel Aviv on why Israel should launch a pre-emptive strike at Iran: “I am of the opinion that, since there is an ongoing war, since the threat is permanent, since the intention of the enemy in this case is to annihilate you, the right doctrine is one of presumption and not retaliation.”
  
  Second up, Uzi Arad, Israeli prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s national security advisor, speaking before the Jewish Agency in Jerusalem June 22 on his belief that the “international community” would support an Israeli strike at Iran” “I don’t see anyone who questions the legality of this or the legitimacy.”
  
  Third up......The rhetoric is getting steamy, the weapons are moving into position, and it is beginning to feel like “The Guns of August” in the Middle East......

  "When Israel declared independence in 1948, it had to use mostly small arms to repel attacks by six Arab armies. Today, however, Israel feels, and is, more menaced than it was then, or has been since. Hence the potentially world-shaking decision that will be made here, probably within two years.
  
  To understand the man who will make it, begin with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's belief that stopping Iran's nuclear weapons program is integral to stopping the worldwide campaign to reverse 1948. It is, he says, a campaign to "put the Jew back to the status of a being that couldn't defend himself — a perfect victim." Today's Middle East, he says, reflects two developments. One is the rise of Iran and militant Islam since the 1979 revolution, which led to al-Qaida, Hamas, and Hezbollah. The other development is the multiplying threat of missile warfare.
  
  Now Israel faces a third threat, the campaign to delegitimize it in order to extinguish its capacity for self-defense..............."

  so at work we had an middle eastern family get alittle upset due to a long wait, i think their culture tends to raise their voice a bit, their child was sick and they were worried, waiting for medicine.

  while calming them down, one of the staff ladies is jumping in from behind under-cutting my calming speech with her interference....i asked her to back off.. well the women i work with did not like me "reasoning" with them witness style, oh no!

  they wanted me to throw the mum, dad, child, mother in-law, out on their ass.

  and we both know it. so what's the translation?

  Is she weighing the trade off of giving up everything for love?

  And she talks too damn much, but ceases when I say to.

  for they, alone, have apparently been able to do for some what no other religion, teaching, philosophy, belief, or faith, was able to do: turn some completely away from the most holy one of israel, jah of armies.

  may you all have peace.... of course, such ones may want to attribute their "change of heart" to something they call "atheism", but that really isn't the truth.

  atheism didn't call them; atheism was simply the final "oasis" to which they fled when the wtbts proved itself to be a "waterless region"... a wasteland... desolate.

  Well said SA. Reminds me of a CO talk i heard once about the New Personality. He gave the following illustration. Imagine you're coming home one night and it's raining. And you fall down in your yard. When you make it indoors you naturally remove your soaking muddy clothes(strip off the old personality). But you don't immediately put on fresh clothes(the New Personality), first you take a shower(be made new in the force actuating your mind). He said a lot of people don't due that 2nd step, so they're just cleaned up versions of their old selves. And i quite agree with the weeping and gnashing of teeth they find themselves in at the last oasis in the waterless regions of organized religions. Shalom out.

  "We got false predictions all over the place, medical disaster policies --forced on JW's-- at risk of shunning. We have pages of flip flops, blinking lights, wacky science, historical failures, arrogance, judging and loads of WT Society embarrassments and humiliations. God had nothing to do with all that nonsense that was called, "Food from God".

  I've been wondering lately about some kind of common denominator that brings people of all sorts to this site. When you look at the above list and the personal disasters left in the wake, I really believe that what fuels everybody here more than just a support group to cry in each others beer, is to expose, as the title of the thread says, the evil deeds which amounts to a revenge, since no reconciliation is possible. And as has been said about the best revenge after a failed marriage - is "living well", rather than going to support groups the rest of your life. So exposing the evil deeds of mother, even though you're still hurting comes across to her as laughing, and getting over it. Speaking of mother ..........

  Russia's Loading of Nuke Fuel Into Iran Plant Means Aug. 21 Deadline for Israeli Attack

  "News that Russia will load nuclear fuel rods into an Iranian reactor has touched off a countdown to a point of no return, a deadline by which Israel would have to launch an attack on Iran's Bushehr reactor before it becomes effectively "immune" to any assault, says former Bush administration U.N. Ambassador John R. Bolton. Once the fuel rods are loaded, Bolton told Fox News on Friday afternoon, "it makes it essentially immune from attack by Israel. Because once the rods are in the reactor an attack on the reactor risks spreading radiation in the air, and perhaps into the water of the Persian Gulf."
  
  Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin declared in March that Russia would start the Bushehr reactor this summer. But the announcement from a spokesman for Russia's state atomic agency to Reuters Friday sent international diplomats scrambling to head off a crisis. The story immediately became front-page news in Israel, which has laid precise plans to carry out an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities while going along with President Obama's plans to use international sanctions and diplomatic persuasion to convince Iran's clerics not to go nuclear. Bolton made it clear that it is widely assumed that any Israeli attack on the Bushehr reactor must take place before the reactor is loaded with fuel rods. "If they're going to do it that's the window that they have," Bolton declared. "Otherwise as I said before, once the rods are in the reactor, if you attack the reactor you're going to open it up and radiation will escape at least into the atmosphere and possibly into the waters of the Persian Gulf. "So most people think that neither Israel nor the United States, come to that, would attack the reactor after it's been fueled." Bolton cited the 1981 Israeli attack on Saddam Hussein's Osirak reactor outside Baghdad and the September 2007 Israeli attack on a North Korean reactor being built in Syria. Both of those strikes came before fuel rods were loaded into those reactors. "So if it's going to happen in Bushehr it has to happen before the fuel rods go in," Bolton said.
  
  The conversation that touched off the de facto deadline for Israeli military action was a telephone conversation with wire services involving Sergei Novikov, a spokesman for Rosatom, the Russian Energy State Nuclear Corp. Novikov said: "The fuel will be loaded on Aug 21. This is the start of the physical launch” of the reactor. "From that moment the Bushehr plant will be officially considered a nuclear-energy installation," Novikov said, adding that the head of Rosatom, Sergei Kiriyenko, will visit Bushehr Aug. 21 to conduct a ceremony for the event. According to Bolton, once the reactor is operational, it is only a matter of time before it begins producing plutonium that could be used in a nuclear weapon.........."

  Do Elders and Bethelites really follow this site?

  just a question really and whilst i would not put it past them i sort of feel it is too 'conspiracy theory' for me.

  are elders and bethelites officially sanctioned to lurk (or engage) in this or other sites to try to weedle out apostates?

  does anyone have any direct experience of it happening?.

  Given their convoluted thinking on many matters,

  it wouldn't surprise me if they actually went and hired private eyes to monitor the net.

  That way they could find out information without having to risk exposing the truth inside their hallowed halls.

  Like settling pedophile cases out of court with a gag order attached.
