THE FED IS BUYING US TREASURIES.
I was thinking about this the other night.

What if you're a kid with an allowance, but you want something beyond your allowance, so you go to mom. She says she'll have to ask dad. Dad says OK, but we'll have to cut your allowance, because I have to sign an IOU at the bank. So the bankster prints up some phony money - you get what you want and mom is happy. Repeat this a number of times and you're left with no allowance and you're mad at mom and dad cause they won't continue to support your habit. Meanwhile the bankster has done well while you go broke. In addition, you were never very popular at school. Your trinkets made you even less popular, but you were able to buy some friends by buying sodas and what not. But Now you can't even do that so they want nothing to do with you at all. So you're broke and totally marginalized. And if mom and dad cave to your whining - they go broke too.

The players:

Mom and Dad = Congress(they argue over what you're entitled to)
Bankster = Fed(collect interest on phony money lent to you)
School chums = Foreigners
Taxes = Reduced Allowance

when i was growing up most of the jws around me were poor and lower middle class.

some were middle class, but very few were upper middle class.

only (maybe) about 1% were college educated.

It's the same way such people fall for liberalism, or any other scam - at some point they get to believing the lie after much indoctrination and hearing people like Walter Cronkite saying that man came down from the trees.

How Photos from Obama’s Speech on Bin Laden’s Death Were Staged

There is a fascinating piece at Poynter that describes how since the Reagan era (and possibly before) it has been the standard operating procedure that during a live presidential address, like the one President Obama gave announcing the death of Osama bin Laden, still cameras are not allowed to photograph the actual event.

Photojournalists from Reuters and AP described how President Obama basically had to silently re-enact part of his speech for the still cameras after giving it.

Reuters White House photographer Jason Reedwrites:

As President Obama continued his nine-minute address in front of just one main network camera, the photographers were held outside the room by staff and asked to remain completely silent. Once Obama was off the air, we were escorted in front of that teleprompter and the President then re-enacted the walk-out and first 30 seconds of the statement for us.

The reason still cameras are not allowed during live presidential addresses is because of the noise from the camera shutters and the placement of the teleprompter, not for any sinister conspiracy-type reasons like we were hoping. And it’s been going on a long time.

The problem, according to Poynter, is that while many newspapers disclose that the photo they use is a re-enactment, some do not. And publishing these photos goes against the National Press Photographers Association Code of Ethics, which includes this relevant passage: “Resist being manipulated by staged photo opportunities.”

We had no idea there was an ethics code for photojournalists, and we’re thrilled to find out there is one. How dare the White House force them to abandon it! We feel shocked and lied to! This practice of re-staging must come to an end.

in today's watchtower study, towards the end, you had one of those typical comments by a former df'ed witness expressing appreciation for being shunned.

these comments always remind me of a stalinist show trial in which the accused enthusiastically accepts being executed for the greater good (probably to save his family).. after this kind of nonsense is expressed, you will get a flurry of self righteous comments emphasizing how important it is to shun your disfellowshipped relatives, so that they can come back in the "truth".. oh, really?

do any of these people raising their hand realize that, if the "success" of disfellowshipping depends on your shunning, then the "repentant" person is "coming back in the truth" for the sake of their relatives -and not because of fearing jehovah !!!???.
