Dec. 15th WT - WT Society REALLY Minimizes Earning a Decent Living
by flipper init's ridiculous.
i saw this so much in my 44 years in the jehovah's witness cult.
whether it was elders, pioneers, or other people in the cult criticizing others for working too much at their employment or missing some service or meetings due to employment.

"If your current employment is not conducive to spiritual growth, YOU NEED TO ADJUST YOUR SITUATION."
Like maybe the GB could put you through law school and buy you a big house.

That software is totally redundant. I think all browsers allow for anonymous surfing, or at least give a very easy way to delete the history. I use firefox, it can allow for totally anonymous surfing, ie. no cookies, no history.
Also, the IP is not really relevant since it is difficult to tie it to a name and many have dynamic ips.
Deleting the history, not saving cookies, etc is not the same thing as anonymous surfing. Anonymous surfing refers to preventing the web site you visit from identifying you through your IP address - nothing to do with browser history or cookies.
A dynamic IP doesn't change anything. Your internet provider has a registered pool of IP addresses at their disposal, one of which they assign to you. That IP can be very easily tracked to your internet provider, who will have a record of who that particular IP was assigned to at any given time.

Thanks Blondie, and thanks also for including the scans of the article.
Some comments:
ch 2: After all, he had enjoyed intimate association™ with Jehovah for unknown aeons and had been God's "master worker" during creation. (Prov 8:30)
There is not one single reference to Jesus in Proverbs 8. The WT$ has hijacked the 'personification of wisdom' in Proverbs, claiming these verses refer instead to Jesus. This is done despite the fact that throughout chapter 8 and throughout the entire book of Proverbs wisdom is personified as a woman:
Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares (1:20)
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. (4:6)
On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud (8:2,3)
Say to wisdom, "You are my sister," and call understanding your kinsman (7:4)
Wisdom has built her house; she has hewn out its seven pillars. (9:1)
ch 12: Moments later, he told Peter to put away his sword, thus showing that the source of Jesus' confidence lay, not in earthly weapons, but in Jehovah.
Another example of the WT$ twisting scripture to suit their purposes. The verse has nothing to do with Jesus' view of "earthly weapons". It was Jesus' entire earthly purpose to go with the mob that confronted him. This was his destiny and the fulfillment of prophecy. Of course he would not allow Peter to prevent it.
Did Jesus 'lack confidence in Jehovah' when he told his disciples to carry a sword?
He said to them, "But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don't have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one. (Lk 22:36)
ch 14: Today, God has not given Christians the power to perform such miracles.
Where is the bible verse to support this claim? The WT$ did not include a scriptural reference. Perhaps because there is no verse to support the claim. I see this as the WT$ justifying their inability to exorcise the "demonz" that seem to plague so many of the dubbies.....

Valley Farms Corp. What do they protect with it?
by MinisterAmos inmost already know that watchtower corp atty phil brumley uses a patterson, ny address as his residence.
using google maps, 131 brimstone road, patterson ny is starting to shape up into a veritable mansion.
maybe they are planning another rutherford (also an atty) style beth sharim but this time close to wallkill?.

The 2 acre lot was what impressed me.
And didn't everyone give up a "profession" to come to bethel? It's hard not to view this as a double standard/preferential treatment.

"Jehovah will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear"
by highdose ini used to pin all my hopes on this scripture, cling to it no matter what.
eventually i realised that it was rubbish!
life in the borg is so tramatic that it will often be way beyond what you can bear, and the only "comfort" you might get?

The gb simply looks at a given verse and then decides whether it can be of most use to them interpreted literally or symbolically. It's as simple as that.
Any verse that would cause doctrinal problems interpreted literally is, of course, interpreted symbolically. Consider "this generation". Once it became problematic, the word was reinterpreted in a symbolic sense.

Finally-Free, I had the same reaction when I first read the article. When I was in, it was common knowledge that the dubbies would remove a child from a hospital to prevent a blood transfusion. In fact it was a point of pride for them.
