  years ago before i took the time and effort to study logic and argumentation, i went to a market and bought some toothpaste.

  it was a little-known brand and it touted "baking soda" as its magic ingredient.

  it was also cheaper than the name-brand toothpastes and that helped me in my decision.

  Which he say is already in the 1889 original. But actually it IS NOT THERE. The original text 1st Edition, which can be viewed as scans online, of course, reads just as the quote above said it does BEFORE it was corrected in 1915 AFTER Russell predictions failed

  Essan, I verifed this and you are absolutely correct.

  The original (pre-1914) printing of The Time is at Hand reads: "...the full end of their lease of dominion, will be reached in A.D. 1914; and that that date will be the farthest limit of the rule of imperfect men." (pg 76-66)

  Later (post-1914) printings of The Time is at Hand read: "...the full end of their lease of dominion, will be reached in A.D. 1914; and that that date will see the disintegration of the rule of imperfect men." (pg 76-66)

  I said previously that eggnog was a liar, plain and simple. Truth is of no consequence to him. His goal is simply to maintain the outward, whitewashed appearance of his cult masters.

  To prove that one made a PREDICTION, one must reference a source that PREDATES the predicted event. Hence, Essan refers to OLDER literature.

  You didn't answer earlier what you thought doing this proves aside from the fact we needed a lot of refinement in our early days which we've always admitted?

  Strange YPA article: Should I quit school?

  the november 2010 awake (the atheist issue) has a ypa article that seems strange to me.

  it is about whether or not a kid should drop out of school.

  the way that it's written makes it seem that dropping out of school, (not college) is ok under some circumstances.

  We all know that the only "volunteer work" that justifies quitting school for a dubbie is volunteering to sell literature for the WT$...

  Baltar: It wouldn't surprise me if quitting school was put in a negative light in this article (haven't read it....) since the Awake! is typically geared for the public.

  This is typical WT spin-doctoring imo. The statement sounds reasonable to the public, and yet doesn't offend the dubbies because they understand what "volunteer work" means.
