Journey-On: Nope. I don't think he would post. I think he would be like Franz and just lay low. However, he'd sign on and probably pm some folks privately.

Actually, the truth of the matter is, indeed Christ would post on these boards because they are indirect communication and the Bible actually prophesies it would occur in the last days:

LUKE 13: "... 25 when once the householder has got up and locked the door, and YOU start to stand outside and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Sir, open to us.’ But in answer he will say to YOU , ‘I do not know where YOU are from.’ 26 Then YOU will start saying, ‘We ate and drank in front of you, and you taught in our broad ways.’ 27 But he will speak and say to YOU , ‘I do not know where YOU are from. Get away from me, all YOU workers of unrighteousness!’

Okay. Here is Jesus Christ at the second coming. Remember how Revelation says he arrives and strikes the nations with the "LONG sword of his mouth"? How does he do that, when the Bible elsewhere shows he would not appear in public except for a brief flash, like "lightening"?

Well the modern fulfillments of those things are quite interesting and surprising. Thus when the Bible says his appearance will be like lightening it is talking about his public, visible appearance in the flesh. It is like lightening in that many could see him from horizon to horizon in one particular area, but also like lightening for only a short time. That can be fulfilled easily in the modern age by a cameo national television appearance. That would afford millions to see him from coast to coast but at a specific given and very short period of time. If you were not tuned in at the right time and station, you could miss it.

Likewise, therefore, if he does not come into the public view beyond this, nor do his followers acknowledge him publicly, saying, "Here he is!" or anything, then one wonders how on earth is it that this messiah preaches in the "broadways" of the apostates, who later want to get into the kingdom. Apparently they know him personally, right? This is the meaning of his appearing "in the clouds". That means he is present, you are aware of him, but it is still an indirect appearance. This is accomplished through the internet. The internet is a very "broad way", quite public for sure, and this is where the teaching takes place.

So if you were really in tuned on looking for the messiah, and understood this, then one way you could identify him would be to see who is claiming to be the messiah on the apostate JW boards.

Now the apostates generally reject him as the true messiah, call him schizophrenic or crazy or just wrong, but they apparently like him and find him friendly enough so that when the second great tribulation begins (the first was the Holocaust), they will suddenly recount what he warned about and will suddenly believe him and want to get into the kingdom. And they think by having personally known him, "ate in front of him", i.e. which means spending some of their leisure and casual time with him on the boards, that that will give them an easy ticket into the kingdom and save their necks. But that's not the case. That "new person" who suddenly is interested in the Bible and wanting life is not someone he recognizes from the apostate boards where he preached and tried to get his message across, so he says, "I don't know you! Get away from me! you workers or lawlessness!"

So, in fact, it turns out the apostate JW boards would likely be the only place to actuall have access to the messiah, since he does not appear in public in any other direct way.

But isn't that fascinating! The messiah must arrive and preach and teach and bash the world with the accurate knowledge, yet still be "in the clouds" and no public appearance! How? Through the net!

LONG SWORD TRIVIA: By the way, ever wonder why the Bible doesn't just say Christ comes and strikes the nations with the sword of his mouth, instead of the "long" sword of his mouth? The sword represents his teachings which cut in two the false Freemasonry inspired pseudo-intelligencia propaganda spewed forth by Satan's agents to try and drown the anointed (Rev. 12:15). But why a "long" sword? That indicates, quite simply many words. Thus interestingly, this particular messiah isn't short-winded at all, but in addition to the sharp truth, it becomes an added painful strike because of the length of his message. That's what the LOOOOONG sword of his mouth speaks to. A characteristically wordy messiah. It's sort of an inside personal tease in the Bible about his habit of being a bit too wordy.

So, then, if someone were really and truly a believer in the Bible and got past all that WTS false teaching and then past all the Freemasonry intellectualism of the "watchers" haunting these boards, and it came down say to two possible messiahs that were posting, then you'd be able to tell the true messiah by the length of his posts, they'd be really longer than the TV-minded short posts of most of the others.

IN SUMMARY: So in summary, would Jesus post at JWD and other JW (apostate) boards? Yes! It's actually prophesied that he'd preach in the "broad ways" of those who though rejecting him at first, would come to him to save their necks once the Armageddon is clearly beginning, and they try to "play the friendship card" by reminding him how they used to spend time together on the boards. So posting on the boards is a requiement to fulfill the letter of prophecy.

Isn't that amazing!!! ?

I am getting a little tired of you instructing me as to how I should post. For your information, as you have been posting on this Board for a short while, all that I wrote about JCanon is quite true.

No it's not! I've never had bows in my hair. Paleeze! Isn't it bad enough I've been in drag without bows in my hair? Also you called me a "schizophrenic" which you can't confirm either and which isn't true.

Basically think you're pretty "funny" and "harmless" also -- in fact, I laugh just thinking about you. But just to keep the record straight. Anybody who calls me schizphrenic has my permission to give you as many posting instructions as they want. Now JO is new here, let's be nice. I'm sure he doesn't want to see you and Leolaia lose a Diva contest, now would he? (just kidding!)

Cut JCanon some slack, please. I think he has a Beautiful Mind. And for sure what he's concentrating on now is better for him than before if what you say is true. For some reason, I feel admiration and compassion for him, but, I don't know much about his past...just what I've read recently.

You still haven't lost your "human touch" which these boards tend to kill off rather quickly. Some of the folks have a good sense of humor. But be warned anyone who in the very least considers me anything but a schizophrenic nut scares the hell out 'em! You see, as long as they see a consensus out there that anybody who believes the Bible is responsible and sane and most importantly, in the MAJORITY, then they can go back to sleep. Nothing new on the hornizon. When someone comes in with a fresh look and open mind and even looks in my direction they get nervous. Somehow, it's not just a matter of not believing but being so correct that believing the Bible is only for crazy people. Once someone fresh comes along and says, "Hey, that sort of makes sense to me, too!" that totally freaks them out. So enjoy the board and welcome. I'm in total control here, though I pretend not to be. And don't let the resident "divas" here bother you. They are tough on the outside but marshallow centers all the way. Since you're new to the boards, for some reason the XJW boards are primarily Freemasonry offshoots of the WTS, IMHO. That means there are resident "watchers" that have an assignment to do nothing more than shoot down any interest in the Bible or the Bible being a book of truth. But those are easy to spot. I enjoy them but get a bit perturbed when they don't bother reading everything I post and then misrepresent it to others, take aim and then try to shoot it down. I believe you should hear ALL sides. Just don't let them talk you out of double-checking everything, not just what I say, but what they claim as well. Most here are pretty good about giving references. Enjoy the board!!! And welcome. i've been thinking about this for quite a while and i'm not exactly sure how the best way of putting it out there, so if it seems like i'm blabbering at points, i more then likely am and i'm sorry.

i'm kind of merging two different thoughts together, historical info i got from the book, "the bible unearthed" and personal research and discussions with others regarding "el".. el obviously played an important part in early hebrew language as it was their word for "god".

but, el was a caananite god, and to them the god of all gods, supreme god father of all things and humankind.

but how do you know the gilgamesh epos was written BEFORE the bible flood? in my languages wikipedia it says the epos is from 1200 BC which is at least 1000 years AFTER the flood. it could be just a altered version of the original flood from the bible...

Archaeologists can only guestimate and use these records to make presumptions, many of which claim thousands of years in the past as true history which is dismissed. So though some of this might be dated past where the Bible would date the Flood, it matters not since the Bible is its own historical record with its own timeline. Thus the contradiction by the Bible's timeline alone would be sufficient to dismiss any contradicting chronology if you consider the Bible as a more reliable timeline and historical source. If you want to side with the archaeologists, not all of whom agree on ancient chronology, then that's your choice. So at this point it simply needs to be established that there's a contradiction. Some things like these can never be proven either way. But archaeologists simply guessing about the timeline isn't sufficient to dismiss the Bible's timeline. Absolute dating only comes from good astronomical text references or great samples for RC14 dating. If none of those are associated with Gilgamesh then there is little to effectively contradict the Bible's timeline. The Bible is the only historical source you can take for face value along with any others that would harmonize with it. Otherwise, you can feel secure in rejecting it if it contradicts the Bible's timeline. But that, of course, is up to you and likely based upon how much research you've done.

There is additional evidence that the Hebrews were influenced by the Gilgamesh Epic. A Bronze Age copy of the Gilgamesh Epic was discovered at Megiddo (i.e. it was known to the Canaanites), whereas the Jewish Book of Giants in the Dead Sea Scrolls mentions Gilgamesh and possibly Utnapishtim (= Atambish), proving that memory of characters in the Gilgamesh Epic continued for centuries afterward in Jewish circles.

This proves no such thing. Gilgamesh is not mentioned in the Bible and the Jews are well known to have referenced many other sources. It doesn't prove this was part of their official history.

Bottom line is that the Flood happened and that historical story told by Noah and his sons was passed on to many cultures who adapted that story. The Jews have their own, but more accurate version of that story. Gilgamesh came obviously after the Flood, regardless of how erroneously archaeologists seem to want to date him. I'm amazed at a woman as intelligent as you are buy into so much of this propaganda that is so easily dismissible or nonprovable; though, obviously, the same could be said for the Bible fundamentalists, especially with issues like a global flood.

The WTS uses this reference specifically to confirm the ancient historical reference to a global flood in various cultures, suggesting many ancient cultures had a common flood story in their history and are thus referring to the global flood of Noah's day. The chronology of the flood versus the chronology of the Gilgamesh tablets is totally up for grabs though. The obvious presumption is that it follows the actual flood. Those obviously dating it before the flood would be questioned.

Going back in history possibly some 4,000 years, we encounter the famous Akkadian myth called the Epic of Gilgamesh. Our knowledge of this is based mainly on a cuneiform text that came from the library of Ashurbanipal, who reigned 668-627 B.C.E., in ancient Nineveh.

It is the story of the exploits of Gilgamesh, described as being two-thirds god and one-third man, or a demigod. One version of the epic states: "In Uruk he built walls, a great rampart, and the temple of blessed Eanna for the god of the firmament Anu, and for Ishtar the goddess of love . . . , our lady of love and war." (See box, page 45, for a listing of Assyro-Babylonian gods and goddesses.) However, Gilgamesh was not exactly a pleasant creature to have around. What action did the gods take in response to the people’s protest? The goddess Aruru created Enkidu to be the human rival of Gilgamesh. However, instead of being enemies, they became close friends. In the course of the epic, Enkidu died. Shattered, Gilgamesh cried: "When I die, shall I not be like Enkidu? Woe has entered my belly. Fearing death, I roam over the steppe." He wanted the secret of immortality and set out to find Utnapishtim, the deluge survivor who had been given immortality with the gods.

Gilgamesh eventually finds Utnapishtim, who tells him the story of the flood. As found in Epic tablet XI, known as the Flood Tablet, Utnapishtim recounts instructions given to him concerning the flood: "Tear down (this) house, build a ship! Give up possessions, seek thou life. . . . Aboard the ship take thou the seed of all living things." Does this not sound somewhat similar to the Bible’s reference to Noah and the Flood? But Utnapishtim cannot bestow immortality upon Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh, disappointed, returns home to Uruk. The account concludes with his death. The overall message of the epic is the sadness and frustration of death and the hereafter. Those ancient people did not find the God of truth and hope. However, the epic’s link to the Bible’s simple account of the pre-Flood era is quite evident. Now let us turn to the Flood account as it appears in other legends.

Wait...I know...only the chosen ones...those with faith...have the required discernment.

Not at all. You could be having browser issues where you can't see the imagery. The cloud images are a tri-part message representing aspects of the second coming. It is something provided by Jehovah, likely to simply dismiss claims that I and others are just imagining everything totally, which would be a valid claim if there was not a great coming forth of more direct evidence at first. So when people claim we are all crazy or delusional, we throw the photo in their faces and ask how did our imaginations come up with this cloud art? The fact that others have seen it is verified by the semi-subliminal imagery found in the "Revelation" book, which appeared I think in 1989, long before the photo was taken on December 26, 1998, the 6th anniversary (7th appearance) of the sign since the second coming. The image shows the face of a sleeping black child accompanied by a bird, which you can see in the imagery in the Revelation Book, below. The claim is that all the anointed see it and understand it, and this would confirm it. Obviously, the sleeping black face appearing in the palm of Jesus links this directly with the messiah.

Now that I checked, not a single use of the word for adama is used in the context of red. When "red" or "ruddy" is implied another form of the word is used. So it may be related or incidental, I can't tell. But certainly with its obvious usage earth or ground is a primary reference more than "red". So the term might have a double meaning, "Adam" referencing being from the earth primarily and from the ground, not necessarily specifically related to "red clay". Fertile, rich soil tends not to be hard clay but rich and dark brown, sometimes nearly black.
