Unfortunately, it hasn't changed a lot because finances have been so bad. I'm working on it slowly but surely, but for the most part, a lot of my clothes still remind me of a time in my life that I hated. I didn't really LOVE any clothes that I bought, they were just acceptable ones that I liked enough to buy. Now, I'm trying to make my wardrobe more "me". I did, however, get rid of dresses and skirts that I know I'll never want to wear again, and I've replaced them with cute, short (*gasp*) dresses that I actually like.

Look at this funny cartoon spoof of the WT study -- Tell me what you think?
by MarkedFragile inthis clip is one of many cartoon spoofs of life in jw world.
this particular one is a cartoon play on the wt study.
one of my favorite parts is where the man is flipping pages in the bible, trying to find the scripture being read, and when he finds it, the person is already done reading it (which always used to happen)!

This was brilliant! A good reminder of just how terrible it was, too...some of the meetings felt like they lasted all day.

Was Hitler really a "genius"?
by Mr. Monday Night inwas adolf hitler really a "genius" or was he in the right place, at the right time?.
i think he was evil (obviously), but at the same time, he was a great speaker and was able to "trick" the minds of the german people pre-wwii and during the second world war.. i would like to hear your thoughts.... ciao,.

I would say he was a genius, yes. As John Doe said, though, there's a fine line between genius and insanity. Not to say that somebody can't possess both.

When you meet up with real life friends who are ex-Jehovah's Witnesses...
by Quillsky in....... how much of your conversation is "exie" stuff?.
for me, i don't have many ex-jw friends, but those i do have are brilliant friends and we entertain our partners a lot with ex-talk.
the spouses find our history a bit weird but fascinating..

It depends on the person, how often we hang out, etc...For instance, some good friends who we see 2-4 times a week are ex-JWs. It comes up, but not often. Once every few weeks we might have a conversation about something, usually discussing everything we're going through since we left.
