  Crisis Of Conscience In Audio Format?

  i'm just wondering if the book is available to be listened to in any format?

  i know that it can be found online and read freely, and i've been through some of it, but i just wondered if it was available in any other way.

  i guess it would be lacking some of the copies of articles and such that were in the original book, but it would still be interesting.

  Children and University

  just wanted to share some good news.

  my daughter has just got her first job as a school teacher, she starts in september.

  another daughter will be starting university in september, and one of my sons also.

  Although my heart still breaks for the young you at least you had the joy of raising kids and have obviously done a fantastic job....nothing on earth tops that! So many gave up that joy becuse the org told them to do so.

  i have been frustrated by the inability of most jws to escape their bondage to the kh, despite repeated exposure to negative information about their religion and belief system.

  perhaps it's due in part to something called normalcy bias- a definition i have found is:.

  normalcy bias is part of human nature and, to some extent, we are all guilty of participating in it.

  Wouldnt it be more interesting to ask about things that CAN be proven but dont fit into the biblical scheme of things...like 5,000 year old Bristlecone Pine trees that must have survived Noahs flood (which occured 2370 BCE according to their chronology)without so much as damage to the trees inner rings.

  Where are the Young Elders?

  i was appointed as an elder when i turned 30, 25 years ago.

  which was the norm back then.. now, i very rarely here of a young man becoming an elder.

  in our town we have 2 english congregations.

  As a women one of the things that trully revolted me was seeing young males appointed elders and pontificating over sisters in there 50's plus who were, in terms of humility experience knowledge and compassion vastly their spiritual superior. BTW Is it me ladies, or are some ex JW men inappropriately school boy like when it comes to sex...I guess they are catching up emotionally as well as physically!!!

  i have waited for so long to see some sort of justice given to my daughters.

  it is far too late for me.

  My, this is my first post and I am very humbled that I can reply to yours....I cant imagine the kind of courage and strength it must have taken after what you went through to take your daughters abusers to court. Particularly in the teeth of your families disaproval...what a wise and loving religon, that places a paedaphile above the needs of two abused grandaughters...I hope all fence sitters take note. Thank you so much for taking the time to post. We humans still have a long way to go..have so much to learn, but people like you make me so very proud to belong to the species homo sapien.
