What's the craziest thing someone INFORMED on you about?
by Londo111 inthe culture of jws as encouraged by the watchtower is one of informing on one another, reporting to either the elders or ones designated head.
whats the wackiest thing that someone reported on you?
im not talking about a black-and-white watchtower rule that would land you in a judicial committee, but some judgmental nonsense that someone thought they should turn you in about?.

For those of you that are disfellowshipped, How Far Would Your Faithfull JW Family Go To Stay Loyal to The WT?
by John Aquila inive seen jw parents shun their disfellowshipped children for 20-30 years.
ive seen parents remove disfellowshipped or fader children from wills and give the inheritance to the watchtower..
if your country got run over by some form of government like the nazi regime and started a process of eliminating any groups or individuals who it considered a threat.

Now, I don't think it would happen because they are taught the current dispensation censures violence. Give them some time to work up to giving that order in say 15 years, I have no doubt most dubs would carry it out.
Good illustration though. Apart from highlighting her stupidity it's a really interesting point in the sense that by complying they would be totally putting their own welfare & future above that of their childrens. The death bit brings that into sharp relief but really that is what they actually are doing when they shun. Putting themselves before their children.

Major events that Bible did not foretell!
by iconoclastic injws feel that their strength lies in the power of bible to foretell.
however, an impartial analysis would show that bibles prophecies are too general, and yet some of the major developments in the world scene were not figured in its propheciesespecially those that are very much needed for what it calls last days.
to mention a few:.

Iconoclast Since something like 6 out of 10 fertilized eggs are spontaneously aborted in the first 1 - 9 weeks, is not God the biggest baby murderer of all? Unless of course you consider a cluster of 2 to 64 odd cells just that - cells.
On the otherhand millions of kids are killed by bacteria & viruses (made up of cells) each year - but of course you consider the life of a bunch of cells equivilent/as valuable as the life of a child, I forgot.

Been encouraging my husband to contact his DF'd brother
by atacrossroads inmy husband has a brother he has not spoken too in years not even when he became an adult.
there is a big age gap between them and when his brother was df'd he was still a small child.
his brother was 17 when he was df'd for sex and when he turned 18 he left home and never looked back.

Maybe the DF'd Brother is happy and content with his life. I can relate to this. When my family gets involved in my life it causes nothing but stress and it is just not worth the trouble. Maybe the DF'd Brother is happy and wants to move on with his life.
I guess this is the reason I would approach hubby first, you can't risk a wronged man being rejected twice.
That said, I do hope he doesn't hold your husband at quite the same level of culpability as your parents in law. I guess your BIL has tried to build a life away from his family and pulled up the emotional drawbridge for his own self protection .
One thing I would make no apologies for though - straight taking alert here - if you have kids, for goodness sakes don't let the next generation have to go through this shunning cr@p. That really is the place where you have the ability to effect the most positive change.
