What if Jesus Christ was not put to death by the Romans but instead died a natural death?
by deegee inaccording to christianity, the death of jesus was a miscarriage of justice.
so then, what if there was no so-called miscarriage of justice so that jesus was not put to death by the romans but he instead died a natural death?
would christians still receive the forgiveness of their sins and their hoped for salvation?.

He would have lived forever being perfect, until the law of averages caught up with him and he was run over by a bus - or personal hoverboard or whatever they use in the future. -

The insanity continues
by FedUpJW inas if anymore proof were needed that what used to be the religion i was baptized into has ceased to exist i was asked this insane question, when i mentioned to a jdub that someone i knew was celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
are they witnesses?".
i didn't used to really think about that insane question in the past, but now that i have woke up to ttatt it is glaringly obvious that they think there can be no chance of actually knowing and getting along with anyone outside their tiny circle of conditional friends.

Hi, Those that are already dead will be resurrected, however if you are still alive at armageddon you will be destroyed by Jehovah and Antony Morris III flexing his brand new 'fire ball arm!' That's the usual interpretation that witnesses give of the Revelation "global jihad"

"Why Did JWs Ignore Princes Drug Additctions?" by Barbara Anderson
by AndersonsInfo inover a month ago, the associated press in minneapolis reported that counterfeit pills were found at prince’s home.
some contained powerful opioid fentanyl, a synthetic drug 50 times stronger than heroin found in dozens of pills.
these and other mislabeled drugs were found in luggage belonging to the late music star.

Awake! Magazine April 22 1970
by pale.emperor inwas doing some research this evening and i think ive found possibly the most damaging awake magazine issue the jw's could have printed.
april 22nd 1970. you can download the entire 1970 volume here: http://da-ip.getmyip.com:8080/pdf/old%20publications/?sort=d.
in this issue, the watchtower calls other religions on their hypocrisy for changing doctrine, upbeat music in their services, the clergy meddling in worldly affairs (un anyone?

That's one of my all time favourite Watchtower quotes. And the funny thing is, their doctrine dates but their bullshit never goes out of date!!

So When Do You Think The Watchtower Sign Will Come Down in Brooklyn?
by Wild_Thing ini think we should have a street party in brooklyn when it happens!
it would be a "tearing down of the berlin wall" type of celebration!
i would totally fly to new york for that!

Im not sure but I think it is part of the fixtures ....I know in an article on the sale they were querying whether the new owners would keep the 'iconic' sign in-situ.

Interfaith relations
by StarTrekAngel inso as i recall from my years of bible studies and countless meetings, jws teach that jehovah does not accept interfaith relationships.
the idea of sharing on a prayer for world peace with other religions, as i was told, was not acceptable in the eyes of jehovah.
now i am not here to say that now they are sharing in the way above mentioned, but certainly it seems like the wt has no issues in sharing their propaganda along with other religions and under the "pretense" that they mingle with the other religions of babylon the great.

How the org will spin the Midweek meeting about Child Abuse in Australia
by tor1500 inluke 21:11 says:there will be great earthquakes, and in one place after another food shortages and pestilences;+ and there will be fearful sights and from heaven great signs.
but verse 12 says:but before all these things happen, people will lay their hands on you and persecute you,+ handing you over to the synagogues and prisons.
you will be brought before kings and governors for the sake of my name.

Your discipline as a JW child was it effective, made you a better person?
by James Mixon inhow has not sparing the rod(raised jw) change the way you discipline your children today?.
an incident that happen last week with the grandkids made me think about how i raised my kids.. my wife daughter and her family.

Couldnt agree more with flipper. Making an excited 8 year old who is trying to keep his friend entertained write 'I lied' 100 times seems rarther Victorian.
The one thing I have always been terrified of with my boys is that they hide things from me. That is when the real trouble starts. I would always reward honesty...even the courts do so.

Let's hope Mikey and Kim issue a retraction and an apology just as we would wish (pigs might fly) the WT to do.
Just as they would expect Cedars to do!

Elder Arrest Scaremongering
by jw07 inlast week there was a meeting with all the elders and ministerial servants about responsibility in the kingdom hall and blah blah blah.. one elder brought up a scenario where all the elders were arrested, and we were asked if the meeting would still go on, and how.. this is the second time within a month that i've heard that scenario posed by an elder in my congregation.. does anyone have any idea of the trash being fed to them in letters recently?.
is this a scenario that hq is putting out there, or are the fear mongering convention videos driving their imaginations wild?.

I mean how utterly absurd, are Christians supposed to give up worshipping because a bunch of egotistical window-cleaners didnt turn up with their follow-to-the-letter instruction manual and scripted talk?
How hard can reading a watchtower, singing from a songbook and saying a prayer be?
Oh, and someone needs to remember to switch the lights off on the way out.
