Just so you know, Apostle just means messenger, or emissary.
Dubs could, in theory if they were educated in Biblical Greek enough, claim their C.O.'s are apostles....so yes, they are still around.
ask any jw this one question.
are there any apostles from the 1st century still walking the earth alive today ?.
100% will say there are no apostles from the 1st century alive today.

fascinating - setting up some simple rules and a way to apply evolutionary pressure and the creatures learn the best way to run:.

Fascinating...and that's without sexual reproduction in the mix, maybe he'll introduce that later in his vids. Definitely subbed to that channel.
i attended the school late last year, and it was an emotional and mental rollercoaster for me.
i was already divided in my heart to say the least.
one of the instructors stayed in my home for the week, and my family genuinely enjoyed his company.
I think they missed out Public relations and Financial department should be above FDS!!
i once asked my dad why, with all the power the wt insists on having so much control over its adherents' lives, they don't provide information about healthy eating habits or, like the adventists, wilderness training.
i mean, the gb encourage people to remain poor, and poverty is known to correlate with health outcomes, particularly those that are diet related.
i'd say most witnesses i knew over the age of 40 were overweight, had high blood pressure, heart problems, gastrointestinal issues, one kind of cancer or another (no doubt a result of eating their feelings if you ask me).
Too invasive??!!!
But a million rules about entertainment, grooming, hair length, marriage, sex, friendships, education, family relations, dating, clothing, jobs acceptable....etc etc are not at all invasive!
By the way cimarrona I read your bio:
academic work around literature and visual art of the African diaspora).
Sounds really interesting! Do you have a blog? I've always wanted to study this area. I'm a waspy British girl but I've always felt the African diaspora has contributed to the creative arts in a yuuuuge way and for centuries other cultures have plagerized their ideas; often without financial recompense or honestly crediting their influence/referencing their work. I believe that's why many of the biggest modern stars seem to be money focused; they are long due recompense. What do you think?
i guess the question which is the hardest to give up smoking or alcohol.
many folks gave up smoking in the 70's including me but i have known some hard drinking brothers and if consuming any kind of alcohol became a df offense, i wonder.....
I worked in a rehab and had quite a few elders as patients.

James That's one favour the Witnesses did do for you....getting you to give up smoking. I'm glad for that😀
i went to the atm to get out my housekeeping and budgeting money.
($650) this covers large bills and everyday shopping for food etc.. made the withdrawal and as i fumbled my wallet the atm took the money back.
a bank staff member was present helping another customer with the other atm and saw this.
Hi there Zeb sorry this happened to you....it's called a " purge" in the UK and has happened to me 3 times! It was the same ATM at a Barclays bank branch and only on one occasion did I "fumble"( or rarther my kids did). Fortunately it was only £20 each time. The one time I was using that particular banks debit card( Barclays) I received the money back.
But on two occasions I was using another banks debit card ( Santander) and I didn't receive the money back. I hope you get it back asap.
As if they're not rich enough already!!!
a few days ago, thanks to someone's post on here (sorry i forgot who it was), i found an awesome youtube channel called theramintrees.
the videos this guy has made are amazing!
i'm sure others here have seen some of his videos.
Yea the voice is somewhat strange but the information, though he applied it to all religions, really hits home when it comes to the indoctrination one receives as a jw.
That's because the chap behind theramin trees is an exjw and fully qualified psychologist with expertise in philosophy .
And no, his voice and presentation is neither creepy or strange but professional and entirely fitting considering the sinister subject matter.
I highly recommend his brother Qualia soup.
could someone please tell me why my image is either sideways or upside down.
i feel an utter fool asking this question but i can't find any help anywhere.
sorry..
Amicable I totally think you should keep the photo as is....it's kinda like your " thing" now, really cute since your aussi.
Keep it!!
in 1974 the society had changed there stance on shunning dis-fellowshipping people.
they said you could have limited association with those who were dis-fellowshipped.. what year did they change it back to the old way of shunning people?
.
I remember, as a young child, being told that for family members it was "spiritual association' only that was forbidden. That was mid to late seventies. They started tightening up around 81 for sure because shunning was extended to DA people at that point.
