The spelling is pretty bad so it's hard to make out....was it a collision? Where does the kidnapping come in? Boy jws are so repressed they act all crazy given the slightest provocation!

omg my head exploded!in this months broadcast - splian goes off on how much care the wt in making sure its facts are correct, and how they make sure their quotes are not taking from people who have a bad reputation or have an agenda.
and that the make sure its always in context!.
they are such liars!.
Wasn't it utterly unbelievable, apparently they go through each piece many Times to ensure all the facts are correct, firstly, and also not quoted out of context AND TO MAKE SURE INFORMATION IS PRESENTED AS THE AUTHOR INTENDED.
Literally everything they said they don't do, they actually DO.
I kept watching in amazement thinking...are these people liers, are they deluded, are they captive PIMO or are they stupid?
there is much speculation about our perfect life ahead.
a big way jw's are wrong is they do not allow for the human need to specualte on this life ahead.
except for governing body, no one else can speculate.
We know we will soon have big perfect bodies and very high IQ brains.
We already use our total brain capacity...it's just that we don't use all parts of our brain at the same time ( as they are responsible for different executive functions). It is a jw myth that humans only use a small percentage of our brain currently. We are as smart as we'll ever be.
Talking to the animals like Balaam and his wise donkey.
Horse whisperer?.....if we care to take the time, it's already possible to talk to animals
NB we talk to each other - (we are animals, look how simian the baby in my avatar is).
so yesterday evening i get an invite through facebook fro a name that was familiar, but i couldn’t place the face.
after clicking on the page i saw a close-up pic to realize it was a friend of mine from 15 years ago at bethel.. when this guy arrived at bethel he was big time.
he was in early 20’s and had given up a job as an engineer at what was one of the largest electronics companies in the world.
SilentBuddha a lot went to clubs as well as Houston street although we were explicitly told not to.
Now that I have heard about from many an ExBethelite. In fact I heard in the 80s 70s they would go to a very famous club called CBGB's where some great musicians and bands had their genesis like Patti Smith Group and Blondie, Talking Heads, Beastie Boys, Ramones etc etc
Bet uncle punky is green with jealousy about that; I know I am!
publication court of appeal, fourth appellate district division one state of california osbaldo padron, plaintiff and respondent, v. watchtower bible and tract society of new york, inc., defendant and appellant.findingwatchtower has abused the discovery process.
it has zealously advocated its position and lost multiple times.
yet, it cavalierly refuses to acknowledge the consequences of these losses and the validity of the court's orders requiring it to produce documents in response to request number 12. and, in a further act of defiance, watchtower informed the court that it would not comply with the march 25, 2016 order 39 requiring it to produce documents responsive to request number 12. the court, following lopez, supra, 246 cal.app.4th 566, as an incremental step toward terminating sanctions if watchtower persists in its unjustified conduct, imposed monetary sanctions.
Have they seen the writing on the wall?
chapter 40 .
so doc you can see i’m screwed .
i took her advice and in the spring of 2001 went to a psychiatrists.
There are many signs that will tell you when your marriage is doomed.
I believe lying is the number one thing. I don’t care how many more years you are together when the lying starts your days are numbered.
Couldn't agree more. I believe I've read that [ spoiler alert] you did, in fact, seperate in the end? I know you paid a heavy price to regain your freedom - if you love somebody....set them free 🎤🎶as they say, well, Watchtower certainly doesn't love anybody in that case. I really hope you are in a better place now, friend.😀
i'm gobsmacked.. the 7 rock star popes in warwick know darned well that the 2 witness rule allows child rapists to get away with their crime.. geoff (whacko jacko) jackson was at the australian royal commission and should have seen first hand what a vile man made law the 2 witness rule is.. my question is, why do they still insist on this pervert protecting rule?.
i know it's a highly controlling cult but still...........................stuff my old boots, mate!.
the above is more a rhetorical question.
Banana Normal considerate caring organisations would know that to try and help those who have suffered means extensive professional psychological help even if it cost millions.
Of course they know that professional counsellors would strongly discourage anyone having anything to do with mind-bending cults like JWs—and quite rightly so.
The two witness rule and mandatory reporting ( because of the issues around victims coming forward) are both red herrings in a way. The real problems lay in the whole culture of Watchtower that NO individual's welfare - no matter how harrowing an experience they have been through - is ever put before the reputation of the org. Additionally untrained elders, who prioritise serving the org not caring for flock, have no business involving themselves in dealing with CSA. They are also fundamentally incapable of doing what's right because the org instills paranoia in handing over care because, as half banana says, they fear the real experts involvement for the reasons he lays out above.
A fundamentally flawed organization that cripples it's shephards by incapacitating their own conscience is worse than useless in dealing with something like CSA.
i'm just curious to get people's views on this.. the bible students seem to start of as quite a liberal group under charles taze russell, albeit he had some whacky teachings going on.
obviously things began to change under rutherford.
but what decade did it become abundantly clear that the society was indeed high control religion or even labeled a cult?.
I always ask this question.It's a good one😀
Whilst I think manditory family shunning is the big issue, being unable to leave on reasons of conscience, and still keep your relationships in tact, is at the root of the issue. This happened after they brought in shunning DA'd ones in 1981, following their unprincipled attack on Ray Franz.
Some people would say, and I think they're probably right, that it started when Rutherford brought in all those intrusive rules on what should be personal matters like health care ( blood, vaccinations etc) and grooming.
Not sure when all the silly chaperone rules started...or did they just carry over from the 1800's?? Its also very upper class - the poor didn't have time for such niceties.

Your buddy is a bit of a Jesus.
Funny him getting kicked out of Bethel for being honourable....more so than 99.9% of people ever would be, non judgemental, decent....talk about judged by the pharasies!
I had a pal who had a good friendship with a courtesan...lasted years, very intelligent woman.
Glad it all worked out well for him, and that you've 're connected.😀
in case the picture didn't load.... i'm referring to an elevator with a (quite common) weight capacity of 1,500 lbs.. would the 7 members of the governing body exceed this weight limit??
david splane: 195 pounds.
stephen lett: 205 pounds.
Surely they would consider themselves like the Royal Family who never travel together in case of such a tragedy!
George
That's what I thought was the idea behind OP's question !!
Mind you, you'd think they would be quite keen to precipitate their next incarnation....perhaps we should write to someone in Bethel and suggest giving Destiny a little push, If they want to get a wiggle on with Armaggeddon that is!
