I have to say, though, I always feel like a stinker complaining about grammar on exjw sites when so many of us have been deprived of a decent education.
Some have been home schooled by online scam schools and my heart bleeds for them.
makes me crazy:.
there: go over there!.
their: they own it; belonging to etc.. for the love of pete - use them correctly!.

If we're going all nutso :
It's not : my BELIEVES
it's BELIEFS BELIEFS BELIEFS BELIEFS BELIEFS
( Oh, and its not : I had ADVISE its ADVICE)
i mean, is it advisable to try to wake a friend up?
what about the risk of he/she falling into depression?
anger?
I think almost everyone goes through a period of, well, at least very deep sadness when they discover ttatt. Most liken it to a bereavement; and the subsequent five stages of grief...numbness, anger, bargaining, depression and finally acceptance.
Do you mean experiences of someone simply not recovering, or getting "stuck" in one of the stages like permenant depression or anger?
I think having support either through exjw sites or counselling would hopefully prevent that. Also the immense feeling of freedom would be a huge preventative for any of the above.
I think its far more dangerous not knowing the truth and risking being DF or just not being able to continue going to meetings through age/disability/depression etc etc. The misery of being trapped feeling "less than", failing god or being rejected by your peers is far more likely to end in tragedy.
how do we explain the marital role with what paul said in 1 cor.
“but i want you to realize that the head of every man is christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of christ is god.” (niv).
read a few chapters earlier at 1 corinthians 7 to see what paul does say about the relationships between husband and wife.
Thank you Doug, that is very interesting. I knew that many academics believe the more misogynistic parts of the NT were much later additions, but I did not know how they came to that conclusion.
I often think its strange that Watchtower got rid of the stoning story at John 8 because it is thought to be a later addition. But they are perfectly happy to accept that Paul wrote the pastoral epistles, when there is an awful lot of evidence he didn't.
Also, I find it incredible they do not let women so much as hold mics. Yet even *their* translation has pheobe as a Dikkonos - Deacon, or ministerial servant as they term it.
it must be pointed out in favour of christendoms religions that they do not discriminate against people regarding their religious beliefs.
many old age jehovah`s witnesses are residents of christendoms age care homes.. isn`t this a conunudrum ?
they, jw`s condemn christendom as part of the world empire of false religion and they cast off their old faithful members to their enemy christendom , to look after them without lifting a finger themselves.. in the meantime they are raking in millions of dollars $$$$ in selling off real estate properties in new york and elsewhere around the world.
My non JW great aunt went into a care home run by Jw's, she had dementia.
When she died her diamond rings disappeared. We also never got some expensive antique furniture she brought with her, some of which they look and placed around the building. It was valued in the thousands back in the 70s. Her brother was the executor and I guess he couldn't be bothered to fight them over the furniture, but how Christian of them.
this is the most weird story.
if you read half way down you will see the protagonists are jdubs.

finky Maybe attendance was so low at their Kingdom Hall they decided to kidnap a few people and take them to their Hall for a meeting.
Fear Obligation , Guilt
Finky it's CASE SOLVED LoL!!I I could never work out where/why the kidnapping came in with this story !!
here is a fascinating subject.
according to the bible , one of adam's first assignments was to name all the animals including the sea creatures and dinosaurs of course.
we don't know how long this took but, as all witnesses know, the time period is crucial in working out the timing of armageddon).
For years, I thought the Flintstones was a documentary - Love it - f**king hilarious!
Simon: please introduce a new feature on this forum - 'Comment of the Year', where posters can nominate their favourite comments.
If you did, the above from Punkofnice would get my vote.
Me too!
I've always thought it would be a cool Christmasy kind of thread - post of the year or comment of the year, ExJW YouTuber of the year etc etc 😀

This guy is a total and utter troll
LoL "the real .....( pain in the ass!"
No witness would allude to "how crucial the time period (before Adam sinned) is to working out Armageddon"
A) because only apostates know about Fred Franz and his loony counting the 6,000 years to 1975
b) they try to avoid alluding to dates of Armageddon AT ALL now, given their history
There is no way you are an "in" dub!
i heard many times when i was a witness how much "learning the truth" helped people.
many have been said to have become much better people.
addictions were given up.
Good OP!
It made good people I knew before they joined judgemental - or rarther their children judgemental and bigoted - they were raised that way, couldn't help it. But I knew that wasn't them deep down.
Some undoubtedly may have been slower to anger etc. But I think a lot of people hid their issues, instead of talking about It and getting help, addictions, porn, online gambling etc
As for me there is only *one thing* that has changed. I used to believe I would never kill under *any* circumstance, no matter who, mass murderer etc. Now I would. In order to protect my family, the innocent etc from someone attempting to take their life I would be prepared to take theirs.
Because I now know we get one chance, I view murder far more seriously...it's the ONLY thing you cannot make amends for or give back. So now, I believe in the severest penalties for murderer's and I would not hesitate to protect the innocent even if it means killing the criminal/terrorist/killer etc
I leave it to you whether you think me a better or worse person for it.
good evening, or morning, whatever the case may be.. just a couple of points about the jw monthly broadcast, and the "two witness" rule.
i'm tired, so i'm going to be brief.. 1) i had a nice conversation with trey bundy about the flaws in the wt's "logic" concerning their pet scripture in deuteronomy.
in short, their rnwt ( the most accurate translation of all time, because the fds were involved...) says that no one person can be convicted on the testimony of one witness.
Bloody well spotted D.D.👍👍👍
I think Lloyd has already posted a rebuttal to Gary NOT-a-Bro on the two witness rule segment of the broadcast; as he got so annoyed about their bol - oney.
I think he plans to do a fuller rebuttal for that particular jwBroadcast soon. Hopefully you can get a message to him before then. You could message him directly at exjwreddit - his username is u/cedars1929.
