Crazy statements from JWTalk
by Jehovah lol ini'm sure many of you are aware of the jwtalk site, a message board which has yet to succumb to apostasy (give it time).. some of the forums there are visible to the public, and i've seen some crazy stuff.
here is a sampling:.
"satan is really trying his best to make things worst for the witnesses, knowing the 6,000 years is almost up, from eve's creation!".

Have you ever thought what the primary teaching of Jehovah’s Witnesses is?
by Half banana init is not “preach the good news” nor is it “believe in jesus and get saved” neither is it “believe in the governing body of jehovah’s witnesses and get saved” although in practice they do teach this.
no, everything they claim depends on a belief in another doctrine which logic decrees cannot be found in the bible.
the leadership of jehovah’s witnesses put absolute faith in a protestant doctrine which is given a latin name, sola scriptura, meaning “by scripture alone”.. good evidence of the governing body believing in the primacy of this doctrine was when being questioned by the australian royal commission, they resorted to the ‘authority’ of scripture to defend their stance on having “two witnesses” when they are investigating child abuse cases.throughout the hearing they paraded their naive trust in the bible as the highest possible authority proudly ignoring the fact that most people regard it as having been superseded by modern scientific evaluations of what is true.. .

urely though the JW Bible says “All scripture is inspired of God, beneficial etc”. Doesn’t that mean the Bible is inspired? If it did mean the Bible is inspired it would logically be disqualified because it is circular reasoning; using the authority of the original statement to justify itself.
Which is really a form of "begging the qustion"

The ever-broadening, ever-deepening, ONGOING FLOOD TIDE of spiritual food
by credulity inmidway through the "congregation bible study" at this week's midweek meeting, a paragraph of the "god's kingdom rules" book stated as supposed evidence that "god's kingdom rules":.
"spiritual provisions flow to us like an ever-broadening and ever-deepening river.
our bible-based publications - as well as recordings and videos, our meetings and conventions, and the material published on our web site - together amount to an ongoing flood tide of spiritual sustenance... are you not thrilled to see the fulfillment of jehovah’s promises of abundance in your daily life?".

Not soliciting for money"? Just because they don't pass a collection plate, doesn't mean they do "not solicit for money". That is the raison d'être for their existence! BAHAHAHAHAHA!
It always cracks me up when Watchtower denigrates 'Worldly' Churches for passing a puny collections plate for the odd person to stick 50 pence in, whilst Watchtower has collection BOXES and credit card machines all over the place, plus always asks for your 'valuable things' and sums like 25 million dollars in their Broadcasts!!!

What’s The Strangest Belief of Jehovah’s Witnesses?
by minimus inthere’s a lot.
i think one strange view is how only 144000 go to heaven.
since the number is mentioned in the symbolic book of revelation, you would expect that the number would be viewed as figurative, but jws say otherwise.

Well the trumpet blasts being obscure meejngs of a few people in Cedar point, Ohio, and London being the one that was "locust like" with people arriving from everywhere!!
Jesus being Micheal the Arc Angel when God clearly states that "no Angel has ever called me father".
1914 being a total con just because ww1 started. Many people have also said that it is very difficult to work the whole thing out since the calendars have changed. Are years modern 365 day years or 360 day years? Are months Hebrew lunar months or solar months?
The absurdity of no birthdays but the crazy obsession with wedding anniversaries. I always say Rutherford forgot to ban anniversaries since he didn't live with his wife he never celebrated them!!

Whole families leaving the Org has increased
by pomo6780 ini have noticed in the uk a few families i used to know while in the borg have exited together.
some include former elders and ministerial servants.
i observed on social media pages that the kids have 'worldly' boyfriends and girlfriends and they look so much happier than they did in the org.

I knew a very committed family that left when the youngest daughters marriage hit the rocks, combined with the generation teaching failure. They were not going to shun her for divorcing because of a religion whose major doctrine just failed.

The Seven Trumpets
by Jehovah lol inis it still watchtower dogma that the seven trumpets of revelation refer to seven conventions in the 1920s?
would many jws these days even be aware of this?
i find it so amusing that seven little conventions in the distant past, almost a century ago, could be equated with such an iconic biblical passage.

Hey pomo6780
I bet you are right. It's funny how any long term Jehovahs witness can almost write all their mags and books for them, second guessing what they will say.
Kinda frightening it's so stamped into our psyche.

MS meeting highlights
by lastmanstanding inthere are a few things of interest, but the biggest thing to tell is with regard to the amount of times that pornography was discussed.
not just one talk... several.
the last brother had a computer on the table with him as he talked about porn.

Daysofuturepassed Alex Guiness in "Bridge over the river qwai" Brilliant analogy for the Bible Forschers, proud that the Nazis trusted them !!
JWs always say proudly that they didn't join the German army or Nazi Party ( let's forget Rutherford's anti-Semitic letter for the minute). But they forget that they also didn't join the allies, and had nobody done so they would not have been a Watchtower - since an unfettered Hitler would have invaded and closed the society down.
