We pray for the governing body
by StephaneLaliberte insince when has it become cool to pray for the gb?
i noticed that at the begining of my fade back in 2015, it had already been there for a good while and was already getting on my nerves.
i means, i grew up in it, but can't remember much further than the 90s and i don't remember this being always in the payers.

FedupJW USA JW's commonly use a term which those in Europe don't - "The friends." Always sounded like cult-speak to me when I was in.
Yes they never said it in the UK that I remember back in the day.
Always "Brothers and Sisters."
That's another thing I've noticed, that nowadays 9 times out of 10 they just say "The Brothers" even when they are not specifically speaking about just brothers - like the elder body. They will say " The brothers in Russia are suffering persecution...." instead of " the brothers and sisters in Russia...." etc.
Or like OP is it me just being more alert to it?

Steven Unthank and his work.
by WHATSGOINGON inhi everyone, .
i have been trying really hard to find the court case transcript where steven unthank was in court in australia and one of the wt lawyers or a wt spokesperson said the faithful and discreet slave does not exist.. i hope that this is correct i remember reading about this a long while back and would love to get evidence of this.. i found steven on facebook and messaged him about 6 months ago and he didn't respond, he probably wants to let all this go, and i don't blame him for that.. any suggestions would be very much appreciated.. thanks wgo..

Solaris 11So for those who want to verify whether or not Steven did actually take Watchtower to court then they can email the Victorian Magistrate's Court (Latrobe) in Australia and ask for the Court Judgement for Steven Unthank. This quick and inexpensive procedure is outlined in my previous posts.
Have you yourself done this? I take it you have or you wouldn't be so militant about it.
Could you please scan and publish the results of your enquiry?.
NB Smiddys character is not in question here. Smiddy is not a lawyer and the court case he attended may have been civil etc ie the details may be slightly different to those you are specifying. Your post is all about Mr Unthank not smiddy. Please back up your claim and post proof.
NB are you still a believing Jehovahs Witness, out of interest?

Ben Shapiro is no more philosopher than I am.
His absurd mental block when it comes to religion is beyond the pale ( quite literally lol)
He eats with Dave Rubin and husband because he'll put it down to "business" which is sickening in my view. I highly doubt if it was anyone else he'd be so accommodating.
Marriage licences where first created to prevent inter racial marriage? Surely not...we have marriage licences in Europe. I'm more inclined to believe they were to prevent religious mixed marriage but I'll look into it as I've no idea really.
Edit: marriage licences were first created so that the usual period of notice ( banns) could be waivered

Thats one of the most heart warming posts I've read in a long time! I'm so glad for you! I'm very sorry about your mother. It sounds like 'the best life ever' turned out to be awful for her. I'm so very very sorry. By the way I'm sure there would have been many men willing to have the pleasure of marrying you and having your dear mother as a mother-in-law - wheelchair bound or not. Don't put yourself down!! Personality is more important than circumstance!
Are you in touch with your DF sibling now, too?

I speculate many Japanese PIMI are visiting apostate websites to collect information
by yoko N ini run a japanese blog which exposes jw's hidden scandals.
child abuse issues, court cases which are never to be published on jw official website.
it is a very serious blog.

I know it's difficult isn't it?! I'm so so glad that someone is out there helping the japanese jws because as you say they won't learn these things on JW.org. I've always thought that in many ways it must be harder for Japanese Jws because of the premium placed on education in Japan. I imagine the photo in your video of the young MS who becomes an elderly man having to work long hours in a fast food restaurant must really hit home to them.
Never-the-less it did look funny ππ

Advanced Readers Comment
by vienne inas separate identity v. 2, nears publication, it has generated some comments from advance readers, what writers tend to call "beta readers.
" one is posted to the history blog.
this is from a witness and reflects his point of view.

I wouldn't have known this proof reader was a witness at all. Seems pretty thorough and only seems to have what I would term "technical" worries. Which I would assume all serious published works have. At least initially.
Am I right in thinking this book is no. 2 in a proposed trilogy?

Unbelievable similarities: beautiful, empathetic interview with ex Mormon gal
by Diogenesister inwonderfully warm interview from "stop the shunning" channel host beth, with ex mormon morgan ( ex morgan).. morgan describes her young life and the process of waking up or, in mormon parlance, her "shelf breaking".
there really are so many things we have in common, from young marriage to feeling personally responsible for saving everyone you have contact with that's not of your religion.
morgan also describes both her father, her husband and her own fear of losing family and loved ones at the same time as loosing her religion and difficulty we all have whilst pretending we still believe or being pimo.. highly recommended viewing.https://youtu.be/upxirjvtpec .

Psychological Changes in the Vocabulary of the WTS
by blondie inpsychological changes in the vocabulary of the wts.
i have been reading the publications of the wts since i was 6, 60 years now.
we were too poor to have more than one subscription for each magazine so i had to wait until my mother had read it (she let them pile up).

Keep it your resolve not to ignore the aha moments, the contradictions and hypocrisies thinking you have to wait until the boat catches fire before you jump ".
Very quotable Blondie!! Making a note of this one. Thank you, it's a particularly pernicious watchtower edition.
Love the Noam Chomsky quote, too, Sparky1 very pertinent.

Seeking advice
by Mizalisa ini'm not a jw, nor was i raised jw.
for the past three years i have been involved with a man who was raised jw, who at first told me he no longer believed as they did, but who, it has become clear over time, has not told his family or religious community the truth.
he has strung me along for years, never introduced me to anyone in his life.

Mizalisa this must be incredibly painful for you. If I may I recommend you reach out to this young lady. She will be able to help you in terms of finding someone who understands the your situation. She also happens to be a therapist herself.
