  Vienne's daughter read on these boards claims about his morals. They derive from newspaper articles. But the transcript of the Russell divorce is in the public record in Allegheny County. A copy is expensive, but it is available. No-one making assertions about his morals here or on other discussion boards seems to have read it. You really should before you believe what newspaper articles say. And I can hear someone muttering, 'but have you read it?' Yes, my Mom, her writing partner, B. W. Schulz, and my uncle Karl all have copies

  Russell's wife was a decent sort and she intentionally kept the more salacious details of their marriage - or rather the reason she divorced Russell - OUT of the court transcripts. This is Unfortunate since it may have opened the eyes of a few witnesses.

  I don't claim he was a pedophile, as some do. Merely that he was a typical repressed Victorian religious man and one who probably found it difficult to see his wife in a sexual light. However making lewd advances to your (adult) adoptive daughter is pretty immoral in my mind and certainly rules him out as gods chosen vessel.

  8Blondie min, based on often I have listened to them, I think they have been a bargain

  Blondie it always blows me away what a bargain ANY music CD/album/record/tape I've had is. Hours and hours of glorious music that I listen to again and again for a few pounds.

  When you think about it it's the best value item you'll ever buy. Imho :))

  (And Timelife stuff are always classics in whatever medium)

  My "shameless" relationship with my ex wife

  i've thought about keeping this to myself but i'm still confused on what i should do.. my ex wife(never been a jw) and myself(raised in the org till 16)have been reconnecting these past few weeks.

  we been divorced for almost 10 years, we got married when we where pretty young, and it didnt last long.. fast forward 10 years, her and i have been reconnecting and things are getting semi serious.. she got remarried, divorced again, and recently broke up with her gf.

  so in the past 10 years she has only been with 3 people (including myself) and here comes me "a sucker with no self esteem".

  Please please be aware that when kids form a parental-role bond with a person married, or in a relationship, with their biological parent and that relationship ends, they can't just "switch off" their feelings.

  They will always see " uncle Jayk" as Dad. Or uncle. They are programmed to have a special, life long love for the care takers of their childhood.

  In many ways romantic relationships are the most ephemeral. Even though religion insists you are "one flesh," the truth is they are the most disposable of all our bonds.

  Have you checked out JWfacts.com?

  If not I highly recommend you take a look as it's extremely well researched and Paul only uses Watchtowers own publications. Please just do some research also into how undue influence works, in particular "thought stopping" sentences and the " B I.T.E." model...thats behaviour control, information control, thought control and emotional control. Steve Hassan wrote a book called " Combatting Cult mind control" that I highly recommend you read.

  Of course the other must read is " Crises of Conscience" by Raymond Franz.

  You will have extra time on your hands so spends some time investigating the history of your religion before you make any decisions.

  I agree with Dubstepped I think couples therapy is 100% the best idea. If I am to understand during your first marriage you were a witness and she was not, that couldn’t have been easy for her. As you say, you are a very different person now. Very young people are rarely equipped for marriage so they say second time around is best!

  i noticed that at the begining of my fade back in 2015, it had already been there for a good while and was already getting on my nerves.

  i means, i grew up in it, but can't remember much further than the 90s and i don't remember this being always in the payers.

  FedupJW USA JW's commonly use a term which those in Europe don't - "The friends." Always sounded like cult-speak to me when I was in.

  Yes they never said it in the UK that I remember back in the day.

  Always "Brothers and Sisters."

  That's another thing I've noticed, that nowadays 9 times out of 10 they just say "The Brothers" even when they are not specifically speaking about just brothers - like the elder body. They will say " The brothers in Russia are suffering persecution...." instead of " the brothers and sisters in Russia...." etc.

  hi everyone, .

  i have been trying really hard to find the court case transcript where steven unthank was in court in australia and one of the wt lawyers or a wt spokesperson said the faithful and discreet slave does not exist.. i hope that this is correct i remember reading about this a long while back and would love to get evidence of this.. i found steven on facebook and messaged him about 6 months ago and he didn't respond, he probably wants to let all this go, and i don't blame him for that.. any suggestions would be very much appreciated.. thanks wgo..

  Solaris 11So for those who want to verify whether or not Steven did actually take Watchtower to court then they can email the Victorian Magistrate's Court (Latrobe) in Australia and ask for the Court Judgement for Steven Unthank. This quick and inexpensive procedure is outlined in my previous posts.

  Have you yourself done this? I take it you have or you wouldn't be so militant about it.

  Could you please scan and publish the results of your enquiry?.

  NB Smiddys character is not in question here. Smiddy is not a lawyer and the court case he attended may have been civil etc ie the details may be slightly different to those you are specifying. Your post is all about Mr Unthank not smiddy. Please back up your claim and post proof.

  NB are you still a believing Jehovahs Witness, out of interest?
