A very beautiful, gentle sermon by a gentle man.
I find some of 'Christendoms' sermons "rough" and "angry" sometimes, compared to ones Witnesses/ExJW give.

this was a comment from the meeting(tm) on sunday.. the person that told me about it, is very confused about the validity of the corporation.
somewhere between a pimo and a pimi-lite.
the thing that angered me was that this person has cancer.
Blues Bro I have no issue with those kind of dubsšš¾
Punky I understand how hard it is (as an agnostic) to get one you love or care about with cancer to think for them self, yet not take away a faith that gives them comfort or strength; especially if thereās no hope of a cure.
If you have Ray Franz book you could show them the part in Revelation where it plainly states the great crowd is in the āNaosā( the Holy of Holies...in other words Heaven). Thereās a great channel on You tube called āWitness for Jesusā, sheās an exjw with very in-depth knowledge who is also having treatment for cancer and is the mother of a young child.
By the way...āPimi- liteā šš¾šš¾šš¼š¤£šš another exJW acronym to add to the list!!
the latest jwdotorg experience starts very familiarly:.
danielle, one of jehovahās witnesses in south africa, found a bag that a customer had left behind in a coffee shop.
inside the bag was a wallet with money and credit cards.. when the owner met her to get it back,.
Great catch Neat Blue Dog!!
Iāve lived in my home for 14 years, now.
Ive lost my bag - with purse & cash, debit and credit cards, drivers licence etc - on 3 occasions during that time.
On all 3 occasions itās been returned intact by, iāll have it known, YOUNG people....those feckless loosers watchtower hectors so often! Twice I met them and on one occasion the shop keeper informed me who they were.
Empathy moves people to do the right thing.

4 jesus taught us the importance of making peace with a brother who has something against us.
(read matthew 5:23, 24.
Actually our congregation could have been called āThe Elder (wars) Scrollsā!!
Lots of squabbling elders. Thankfully not too bad with the flock, though. Unless you were foolish enough to take āsidesā.
Mostly arguments about not paying for car prangs....there were lots of those with a tiny car park and terrible parallel parking out on the road.
oh and one mild fisticuffs over a girl...the boys werenāt baptised (I think...)
hi.
while there are many excellent web sites that explain a few jw nwt bible translation problems, are there any comprehensive lists of nwt scripture errors online please?.
thanks .
Itās a bit more complicated than simply a list as OTWO stated....although thatās a start.
The problem is, for example say Colossians 1:16-17, the infamous place in where Watchtower adds the word āotherā (to infer Jesus was created) that in fact the King James has to also add the word āthingsā in English since there is no term for āthingsā in Greek.
So in a way many if not all translations into other languages āaddā other words...they have to, for it to make sense.
are some of you scared that armageddon may be coming anytime?
lol.
just the thought and the picture in your head that anybody can get killed....>.<.
Funnily enough my reaction wasnāt fear when I thought about our āArmageddonā, I actually shed tears of sadness.
I saw Sir David Attenboroughās āWitness Statementā regarding global warming and the loss of habitat for our fellow creatures, the extinctions of such animals as the white Rhino....all during my own lifetime.
Its very, very sad.
a jp video came up on my youtube feed last week - he was on a panel in front of a huge audience and some poor disturbed guy ran on stage and started crying and wailing to peterson that he needed his help.
it was agonising to watch.. what was even more disturbing was the comments section.
i do not exaggerate when i say that dozens of people were extolling peterson's wisdom as if jesus had come again.
He reminds me MUCH to much of my first husband to even begin to be entirely taken in by this man.
Heās far more vulnerable than he makes out and is a rank hypocrite when it comes to religion. Heās rather egotistical and a true intellect would eat him for breakfast,
Fully agree he goes all around the houses(and back) to say absolutely nothing, not least when heās asked a direct question about a subject he dare not be honest about for fear of alienating his audience. Also, loves the sound of his own,..etc
*I hope he doesnāt ever read this as it would only make his head even bigger than it is (literally and figuratively).

facebook glitch reveals father, activist behind greta thunberg's facebook .... i'm not good at getting links right.
but this is interesting in light of greta supposedly doing things on her own according to dear old dad.
Road to nowhere I am still stockpiling fuel for the coming ice age.
If things get really dire do you all have any recipes for long pig
Hmmm Iāll ask my Polynesian husband....he tells me about the ancestral delights of āLong Pigāššš
i appreciate all my friends who stop to read what i write and post.
you help me more than you know simply by being there as a sense of 'family of friends' for me to talk to and 'share' thoughts with.i guess if i didn't have stories left to tell or people to listen, i could pack it in and join elon musk in a colony on mars.january 15, 2020. .
which world is this?_________________when the doctor pulled my screaming body out of mom all those 7 decades ago, i landed in a post-wwii world.it was--compared to today's world--an alien planet.the world i live in today has nothing in common with the world in which i grew up.there were no cell phones back then--there were black telephones with a dial-tone and an operator who placed your call.everywhere you found telephone booths!
Terry youāre one of the most imaginative and compelling writers I have the pleasure to regularly read....and kinda know.
Happy Birthday!!!
PS. We still listen to Delta blues, jazz & classic repertoire in my house. We have long play records and a few shellac Elvis 78s. We purchase art and my son called me āmaāamā the other day, in fact does so on the regular.
We read literature and my sons have a better grasp of historic dates than I ever didš we know our neighbors but live in the city so, sadly, donāt have a porch. I also still listen to radio soaps.
so cheer up! Itās not all badš
amber gives a superb talk here.
i couldn't help but contrast her delivery - fluent , articulate , without any notes - not even a rostrum or podium to hide behind - with the numerous talks and items i heard when i was a jw.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7wfpaqcqcw.
i am reading her book " leaving the witness " just now - it is superb - i just can't put it down.
Excellent talk, But Dozy she's - gasp - a woman!
