Was a New Boy I like your senator Ron!! He's dead right. What about health autonomy? Like Ron, I've been vaccinated but I've had COVID and so have my kids so we will not be having another vaccine and my kids don't require a risky vaccine when the disease itself barely registered with them (being young).

Congratulations US team, you played yourself..
by MeanMrMustard in.. so said one of the comments on the latest video from nate the lawyer:.

it is an interesting case of why "equal pay" isn't quite what you think it is.

Isn't it more likely that the USA women's team would win the world cup than the men's team? In which case, they won't want to risk sharing that money LoL (although I remember the men's team doing super well in the 90s and I supported them all the way when England dropped out).
The women cynically wanted more. The men can also deal with more risk because they get paid more playing for their clubs.
Ooops! Be careful what you wish for ladies!

Is the Bethel Farm in Wallkill Co. still there?
by Etude ini've been out of this loop (or any other) for a while.
can someone tell me if the bethel farm facilities are still there in wallkill county, ny?
i was there for about a year.

Etude we'd love to hear some of your story!! Someone should start a watchtower history podcast for those of us too old and ugly to appear on camera😂(I know, I know....speak for yourself Dio...)
NB I know there's an excellent you tube channel run by two historians/Watchtower buffs but it is less 'personal experience' and more 'academic' history.

Where to flee Covid mandates and restrictions?
by Kosonen inat the moment there does not seem to be any place to flee to from covid mandates and restrictions.
we are stuck like the first century christians in jerusalem.
but jesus said when the disgusting thing would stand in the holy place, it was time to swiftly flee to the mountains.. will jehovah god open a path to security where we can be in safety?

Talking of bonkers......
Were could we be in safety before Gog from Magog comes to attack?
According to Ezekiel 38 we should dwell in security before this, but where?
Revelation 12 also speaks about a symbolic God's woman that will flee to a safe place and be fed there foe 1260 days. But where?
I think the best place would be in Far North Queensland, in Australia. It is a very sparsely populated area, there we could be in isolation from the rest of the world.

Help needed - Did the GB receive Covid money?
by iwasblind inthis is not a political post regarding the vax jab, (let's not go there) but i personally know many who were disturbed by the gb pushing it in the update #7. .
it is odd as they never really get involved and always do the stupid "conscious" thing whenever they don't want to take responsibility.. then i saw this article - https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/08/03/898753550/religious-groups-received-6-10-billion-in-covid-19-relief-funds-hope-for-more?t=1632597803079&fbclid=iwar0ly8k1fb3cdgknmmxs9aruz-wtex6sir9_uz2uxofkae4iyk7sm5r1ndu&t=1632598929611.
there is a report with itemized churches and the amounts they were given.

I would imagine the paycheck protection scheme may have applied to their lawyers/doctors/accountants/PR & other professionals.
It would be interesting to look up Watchtower's JW lawyers and check whether they were recipients (such as the infamous Canadian lawyer who perjured himself in court claiming witness family relations don't change following disfellowshipping - he owns his own firm which essentially works full time for Watchtower)
It as you say one of their many subsidiary companies...particularly if involved in building etc which would have had to stop during some lockdown periods. Very interesting find!!

Installation of Yahweh alone
by Doug Mason ini have released my latest study for your criticism, corrections, and advice.. “installation of yahweh alone”.

Thank you Doug. Have you ever thought of going on Myth Vision Podcast to discuss your findings? That would be fantastic!
Eden1 Here the Arameans think that the "gods of Israel" (Elohe, plural) are "gods of the hills", and have no power over the plains or valleys. Where does that perception comes from? What can it tell us about the origins of Yahweh?
Yes or the old chariots because they're made of Iron (because he's a Bronze age God?).

Anyone have your local cong. give out papers to say what you can afford to give the cult?
by mickbobcat inback in the late 80s i can remember my local cong.
pass around a paper that had a place for head of house hold name and how much they can afford to give every month for one year.
but i remember the elders said they needed to know what they can bank on to know what they can afford to borrow to remodel ect.

Many congregation members feather spat over this.
Du wot?😂
Anna Marina I've never heard that one before?! What does it mean please?😊
MBCI thought it was standard practice these days. Tithing by the back door so to speak....doesn't every Cong have to pledge what they can afford to donate "on a monthly basis or whatever" as ANTMO would say.

Do JWs buy old JW books to destroy?
by mickbobcat ini have never heard of this but i doubt its never been done.
i sell some older jw books on etsy and have always been a bit afraid that some jws are buying them to destroy.
if you have heard of this let me know.

Immediately after I told the elder that I have (or had) some Rutherford books and read them, the elder angrily asked me where I obtained them.
This and many other similar experiences with angry JWs, including Randall's tale of the bonfire, leads me to believe that there are many witnesses fully acquainted with old literature. Yet they don't leave. Why? Position, prestige and business. Witnesses are not always witnesses because they wish to serve God and truth. A minority have other motives.

Just be careful with any particularly rare books, or notorious books ...such as the Watchtower with all the (now deceased) class of 1914, that '7shall not pass away'. Or the 1969 AWAKE! with the infamous "stay Alive 'till 75" announcement.
I think anything like that perhaps you should offer to collectors on here or Reddit, to Kimmy, Lloyd, Rick Fearon or Atlantis etc etc People you know are buying to preserve etc
