WHO finally admits that the shit don't work.
by pistolpete inthe main reason most got the vaccine was to protect others.
now they’re being told they can spread it just as easily as the unvaccinated.

Portrait of a Girl and Her Dog
by Terry inportrait of a girl and her dog.
her name was cheryl ann draper and she was about 11 years old the day she begged her daddy to let her go with him to work at the gas station.
he had never let her come along before; no matter how many times she pleaded.

Terry I read the story to me husband (and I burst into tears) we've been married 25 years and I didn't know he had his own Cheryl Ann Draper. A beautiful, clever, five year old girl who was run over - she was in my husband's first class at school. The result of an incestuous marriage her parents had four children...3 disabled ("simple" as it was termed) and one not. Perfect, beautiful, and "very clever" Mary Frost, who was run over by a drunk driver.
My husband says he thinks of her often. But he doesn't have a photo.

I can't put into words - the way you can, Terry - how deeply your stories affect me.
They say you die twice....the day you actually die and the last day anyone speaks your name aloud on this Earth.
So I say my dead one's name's aloud, periodically....

....Gerald Walter Joseph Ashman .....
....Joanne Freemantle...
Now I have a new one to whisper. Cheryl Ann Draper...

Waton whoever wrote that fictitious account has not been among a bunch of undisciplined soldiers with a mother and her 15 year old daughter.
a bullet would be the least of their worries, or a more merciful fate.
It's laughable. I just wonder how they justify to themselves putting in a completely fake story in a magazine supposedly representing Jehovah?
I think they find stories in books or on the internet or, more likely, some CO twists the arm of the elders until they find someone who'll distort their story enough until it's what they want to hear.

T2 Trainspotting - bit disappointing
by LoveUniHateExams inso, i saw t2 trainspotting (2017), the sequel to the 1996 original.. i love the original, so this film was a bit of a letdown.. first it had way too much nostalgia.
one particular scene, the one where spud, renton and sick boy return to the countryside to lay flowers in memory of tommy, is really touching.
but there are so many more nods back to the original film that it started to piss me off.. another thing: this is supposed to be twenty years later.

Truth_be_known The book is brilliant. Film is ok.
Love uni On the other hand, if some character development had occurred or been inferred and they were reformed characters, that would probably have been boring.
That would be right. In my experience all ex addicts who reform get really straight and boring, they are so terrified of living....of unpacking their "risk taking" genes in case the trip gets out of hand!! So they buckle down to the tamest life they can manage.

Are Jehovah's Witnesses permitted bone marrow transplants?
by Vanderhoven7 injust found this article and am wondering if there has been new light on this issue.
the watchtower magazine of may 15, 1984:.
could a christian accept a bone-marrow transplant, since blood is made in the marrow?.
-
Diogenesister
I believe they can have bone marrow transplant in theory but I very much doubt it would be successful, because every single patient I've looked after has required packed cells (packed red blood cells). This is mostly due to anaemia caused by either the leukemia itself, or the chemo prior to transplant. Chemo is given to get rid of all cancer cells and to prevent graft rejection - so it's essential. Basically I cannot imagine a patient undergoing BMT without blood.*
*Edit to say my experience is a few years out of date so it's possible they've come up with a solution, though unlikely.

Not really, he's a 1950's British naval officer ... which means he's a white man.
Imagine if they took a character that's traditionally black....imagine if the Chinese did a remake of the fresh Prince of Bel air and turned it into "The fresh princess" and she was Asian. There'd be an outcry of "cultural appropriation!".
Well, guys, this is cultural appropriation.

by garyneal inhello,.
long time since i have been on here.. i wanted to check in to see if we are doing the christmas card list this year.. is blondie still in this group?
she normally does this.. thanks.

Hi Garyneal, Blondie stopped posting a while ago. I think she mentioned it was time for her to move on. She was also hurt at the way she'd been treated recently, too. It's such a shame she was a much loved poster and I for one really miss her. I think a couple of people are still in touch with her (and she may be in a Facebook group?). I remember you for sure, though I doubt you remember me :)
I don't know if people still do the Xmas card list. I'd definitely take part if anyone is interested.
Regards, Dio

We know vulnerability to the disease essentially doubled for every seven years of age. 80% of deaths were in the over seventies.
Fauchi and Matt Hancock's lockdown essentially worked like this:
If you were poor the lockdown didn't protect you. You were one third more likely to die of Covid because these people, no matter how old they were, were either low paid essential workers, or too poor to rest in place.
The wealthy and middle classes, however, no matter how young they were, could work from home and had the space and resources to social distance whether they really needed to or not.
We know our most 'essential resource' were not hospital beds, which were empty, but CARE HOMES which we utterly failed to protect.
Essential viewing! Dr. Battacharya explains what went wrong......

Christopher Hitchen's is a better prophet than the Governing Body
by Diogenesister inchris hitchen's (may he rest in peace) may be a better jehovah's witness prophet than the present governing body, who never got anything right!
they also only decided putin's russia was king of the north after the persecution, too.
he correctly predicted the threat by putin's russia and his use of the russian orthodox church as another means of oppression.

The interesting part is 15:15 but the speech is interesting and pretty short to listen to the whole thing.
