  D.A.R.V.O. (Deny Attack and Reverse Victim and Offender)

  This to me sums up Lloyds behaviour toward kim and others who have crossed him. He uses the method many researchers have claimed is a common manipulation strategy used by psychological abusers. It's based on the work of psychologist Jennifer Freyd who has written:

  "...I have observed that actual abusers threaten, bully and make a nightmare for anyone who holds them accountable or asks them to change their abusive behavior. This attack, intended to chill and terrify, typically includes threats of law suits, overt and covert attacks on the whistle-blower's credibility, and so on. The attack will often take the form of focusing on ridiculing the person who attempts to hold the offender accountable. [T]he offender rapidly creates the impression that the abuser is the wronged one, while the victim or concerned observer is the offender. Figure and ground are completely reversed. The offender is on the offense and the person attempting to hold the offender accountable is put on the defense".

  Toblerone5 My introvert brain just remember ,i read a few years ago, pretty sure it was on JW watch, he add a big argument with somebody about another activist? having better Hair than him ,do any of you remember this? anyway now I have to go down that rabbit hole and find it .

  It was Bo Juel😂🤣I think he had beef over something, the hair was an added bonus for Lloyd😂

  Actually @Cappy tan had an actual beef on Reddit with him about trying to look more groomed if you want to appeal to JW's. I'm a wee bit embarrassed to say I chimed in as well, with Cappy.

  Cappy thought he was making an innocent observation....of course Lloyd totally lost his shit over it🤣.

  We are both now on the fence as to how far a person should Cape to Jehovah's witnesses over their OTT grooming standards.

  this morning i arrived on my bicycle at the local starbucks early and took up a seat at the outdoor table in the fresh air.. that’s when it happened--a group of 3 older ladies at one of the other tables outside rose to leave and one of them walked over to my table and spoke directly to me.

  i was wearing earbuds at that moment and didn’t hear.

  Interesting Lloyd can just take off on TWO trans continental trips in the space of two months, yet the qualified professional giving of their time - free and anonymously - would need some extra cash before she could even consider flying away on 'the trip of a lifetime' (If these are trips of a life time Lloyd must be a cat....with nine lives🤔).

  He's making a fluff about Kim pointing out his 'company/business earnings' - It is a business -Yet he was doing this very thing about Watchtower not so long ago.

  He maintains Watchtower is a damaging cult and he is merely an individual. Ok. But they both have something in common...both live off of donations from people who believe in their work as 'humanitarian'.

  Meanwhile they are both running a profitable business.

  Neither Watchtower's leaders nor Lloyd are noticeably affluent. Yet both lead relatively leasurely lifestyles, enjoying world travel & people keen to meet them arranging and paying for their accomodation. Not forgetting never having to fight their way through the rush hour traffic to get to work.

  I believe it fair that people therefore demand transparency around Lloyds earnings and that his expenditure is at least compatible with the principals he campaigns about.

  how far do we get away from 1914 before they have a new light and admit it was all wrong?.

  they cling to the old theory of the 77 week prophecy from the wrong date that jerusalem was destroyed .

  with the overlapping generations nonsense still we are getting too far away from 1914. what will they say if we get to the 2030s and they still cling to 1914?.

  they were going to attempt a removal of 1914, they would have to do it over a long period of time. De-emphasize it, start to make it a minor point, so that it wouldn't be such a shock.

  I believe they already are. I think someone checked the study editions and there has only been one real mention of the 1914 doctrine in the last 20 years??

  Simon I've read a few comments about people who Lloyd fell out with and then had him contacting them or their employers. I know when he was causing issues on this site he was all over my own and my wife's linked-in profile.

  Why? Who does that? For what purpose other than to build up a little dossier to use to harass someone? What an utter weirdigan.

  I can tell you. Just like Dr. Dass suggested....a narcissistic psychopath. My first partner an abusive alcoholic, when I finally left him, contacted my new employer. Putting on his Trinity educated voice he tried to lie and cause real problems for me.

  And this despite the fact the receptionists in the busy 700 bedded hospital I used to work in, even actually got to recognise his voice and refuse to put him through to my ward. They knew he would just be abusive to me because they overheard the conversations.

  As soon as Lloyd asked Kim where she got her degree and trained etc my alarm bells went off. He always likes to throw shade at Kim by calling her a 'retired Lawyer'. Well thank goodness she is. However I know how these men think and I've no doubt he will contact her professional body, or old chambers, and attempt to get her struck off. Some kind of mischief anyway.

  God he's so egotistical he absolutely MUST have the last word and punish those who dare to cross him.

  Lloyd everything Kim has said has, or can be, confirmed by you or others. The reason others have joined the fray is nothing to do with Kim and everything to do with your own behaviour over the years.

  I know this word is thrown about a lot but I genuinely think he is a misogynist. He was so quick to give the men a pass such as Alt and Andrew, but Kim is reserved for the fiery hell. In fact the only man he has it in for is Johnathan....who gave Kim her initial platform. Interesting. I think he sees Johnathan as a betrayer.

  You wouldn't happen to know why she made her website JW Victims private and her Youtubes don't appear to exist anymore either.

  I admire her greatly. She has so much insight as to the female side of being a JW.

  Alexandra's website is on WordPress but private. You have to request permission to access it. I did so ages ago with no reply.

  It's a real pity.

  I believe she gave up after the BCG debaclè involving the usual suspects and a lot of misogynistic name calling.They attempted to publicly 'shame' BCG into allowing Covert to write a book on her experiences giving evidence to the ARC.

  I wish I could access the Reddit post on it. Lloyd weighed in smearing BCG about giving Covert a bad name until I pointed out BCG had merely privately messaged Covert about it. Whereupon Covert made the whole thing public with a big Reddit post.

  Anyway Alexandra sprang to her defence and was dragged through the coals by the 3 EXJW governing elders who cynically attempted to pull in Reddit followers to their 'cause' by the weight of their 'authority'.

  is my opinion that Mark’s interest is in his promotion, not the promotion of information being shared. Mark hampered the opportunity for people hearing many views and opinions, information from many sources and a variety of topics.

  I find this extremely disingenuous. Why do we need a few controlling information and being the spokespersons? He likes to get information out to the community, which is great, but why does he restrict others from getting information out too?

  Re Mike and Kim

  Motivation and intentions matter to me, responsible use of influence matters to me. I don’t always agree with Kim and mike’s opinion however I respect the fact that they try.

  Kim you are not the only one who noticed this behaviour. You're far from the only one who feels this way.

  Time and again I noticed the arrogance with which they liked to tell us they had to withhold information from us. If something was confidential I call tell you it was damn well confidential to them, too. And if it wasn't it should have been.

  I appreciate the work Mark puts in and his writing is second to none, but as you say it's not a business. Lloyd said he was reimbursed fares & some appearance fees etc and didn't know "what arrangements Mark has with the law firms he works with". That's very disingenuous because I can tell him: nothing. He's not doing anything in a professional capacity. I'm sure he'll explain to lawyers how the watchtower works but it's nothing any exjw couldn't do. He's also putting out information/court docs that are available to the public.

  Not everyone wants to do that. He does, and does it well. Fine. But cut out the arrogance and stop getting in the way of other people trying to help.

  I know I always mention this but Mark Latham was going to help a journalist do a piece on CSA. Lloyd or Mark O'Donnell contacted said journalist and told them not to get involved with him. The journalist ended up dropping the whole article. How dare they! Mark and Louise got the whole IICSA Jehovah's witness ball rolling.

  Your instincts are right Kim and I'm sorry YOU are baring the brunt of their anger. It's bloody awful.
