Thisismein1972: He says he dreams of leaving Twitter. Well why dream when all he has to do is hit that deactivate account button.
TOH Just like his relationship with his penis, he has yet to master the "log out" function.
(≧▽≦)🙌🙌🤣🤣I'm dead
i am not sure how you all feel as we all left at different times for different reasons.... but this new bible seems to have put some final nails into a coffin that was once my jw life.
the religion is so far and so different to the religion i grew up in that it has become something i feel no affiliation with anymore, no bond, no shared ideas or even sentimental views.
different teachings on when the end is coming.
What a brilliant post Snares !!! I chuckled at so many of them. When I looked at the date I had a good snort, too! I only noticed because of the new Bible comment ...I thought does OP mean a new foreign language translation? Or have they gone and done a new, completely loopy translation complete with Governing Boobies in Jerusalem that Paul (definitely did) visit. And a wicked and adulterous overlapping generation that keeps getting the sign wrong (shurely shome mishtake....Toni (hic) M.)

Some thoughts on Lloyd, Russia and aggressive activism:
I think Lloyd forgets it was only the organisation that was under ban in Russia. Believing as a Witness is not under ban... so refusing blood won't get you in trouble per sa. for the naysayers I always think Imagine if Watchtower had been stopped before your family had joined...how good would that have been?! There are arguments against the methods Putin uses, but that doesn't necessarily make the end result bad.
I think Lloyds conflating Russia with his grudge against aggressive activism in that video was more born from not being centre stage.
Anyway how does he define so called aggressive activism? Was the ANC aggressive? Was ML King? Gandhi?! Yes! By Lloyds measure they were! Even a "sit in" would count as aggressive.
I don't believe all activism must be physical. That documentaries or written articles are not effective or don't contribute. The pen really can be mightier than the sword. I would certainly say Barb Anderson's campaigning website and Marc O'Donnell's work on CSA for sure count as effective activism.
What about Lloyds"Passive" activism? Does it exist? Perhaps signing an online petition would count, for example. Or as Kim mentioned making you tube videos.
But is it really "activism"? Or is it mainly information with some opinion? And If it is activism is it effective?
Just because I don't see it as activism doesn't mean i discount all Lloyds work as unimportant. The video he made about the Dutch reclaimed voices, for example, was excellent because it got the information out. But was it activism? Or was it about activism?

14 vlado, a 73-year-old elder in slovenia, struggled when his congregation merged with another congregation and the kingdom hall that he attended was closed.
he says: “i did not understand why such a beautiful kingdom hall would be closed.
Poor old Vlad the Cabinetmaker🧛🏻♂️
All that hard work renovating the hall, just for it to be sold out from under him and the money pocketed by the scroungers in Warwick.
Boxer indeed😔

MAL(content) has been through hell.
I remember Lloyd having a rant about being far too busy to answer personal messages and how he's not there to help exjws with free therapy!! etc. This was very early on in his You Tube career, too. He said he doesn't answer personal emails (unless funnily enough he can make content out of you. Seems to read those ok).
Eventually dear Cherie from this site stepped up to the plate as a volunteer on JWsurvey to work as jwsurvey's support worker (at first, later taking on more roles). As if working full time with dying cancer patients wasn't emotionally draining enough. But no, apparently at the time making a you tube video every week or so is so demanding Lloyd required a full time Hospice manager to come and do it for him free of charge, bolstering the importance of his ridiculous survey (which JWs never took just a few thousand exjws). The written submissions on CSA of mark O'Donnell and others and Cherie's devotion is what swelled the value of that site 100%.

Jeff You think you're running the business, but the reality is they run your life.
Yes I know a retired pub landlady of 30 years plus, who raised her kids whilst running one. She works for a hospitality charity and gets invited to careers fairs, too. She said if your not prepared for it to be a way of life, rather than a job, don't do it.

Parzivalyou would want to debug your room for webcams if you did stay
Hell yeah. Can you imagine? A peephole in the ladies toilets ....yeuk!!!🤢 This dudes eye is always on the main chance. He probably wants to crowd fund people to buy the damn place for him so he can become a hotelier. He'd offer the odd free room to pretty young exjws for a couple of weeks ..... with a connecting door to his room just like Rutherford's!! Lloyds Beth Sarim😱

What was the media interview that Evans sabotaged?
It was an interview a BBC journalist was going to do with Marc Latham. Out of pure jealousy Lloyd got someone to contact the journo and put a spanner in the works. The interview was subsequently cancelled (the person who did this at Lloyds behest has subsequently apologised to be fair).
The reason the twitter account @theculticexperience said that the CSA interview Lloyd sabotaged would "blow up" is because this was the before Iicsa and before the ARC (although after Barb Anderson's "Dateline"). This twitter fool Rafa Chevez is wrong claiming governments of the world are aware anyway, because at the time they were far from aware. In fact Lou Goode, Marc Latham & others were responsible for getting iccsa to investigate Watchtower in the first place.
so, my 17 year old niece reveals to me that for the past few years, her father (my sister's husband) has been physically and verbally abusive to her.enough so that it finally came to a breaking point, and she reported it to the police.
she told me that she had wished she had told me sooner, but she was trying to wait til she was 18 so that she could leave.i knew that she and her parents had been locking horns for the past couple of years, but i chalked it up to teen puberty and general growing pains.
but on their last, most recent visit, i could tell that something was really eating at her.apparently, what set off this latest incident was that he discovered that she had been seeing/involved with a non-witness boy about her age, and got so violent with her that it left marks.ironically, she went and got help from her boyfriend's father, a paramedic, who documented the injuries and encouraged her to report it.so, yeah, he spent a night in jail.she is now staying at the parents of her boyfriend, while still trying to have some aspects of her old life (work, school, etc.
Yes, well done for being there for your niece. Regarding your sister, I thought bearing false witness against someone was a serious sin in the Bible, you may want to gently raise that point with her? I don't envy you, that's for sure! Sounds like you're doing the best you can in a rotten situation all round. Watchtower encourages this sort of behaviour toward children - and the courts - so JWs will increasingly find themselves on the wrong side of the law.
