Im amazed they haven’t scrubbed all those covid updates yet. These will not age well.

Does anyone think it's possible that some of the JW doctors at headquarters read research papers on COVID vaccine efficacy, side effects, efficacy/controversy around mask wearing, natural immunity etc and raised questions about the GB mandating this stuff? Perhaps Anthony being a paramedic was the main advocate mandating the vaccine for all permanent staff? Now some of the facts are coming out Watchtower bigwigs feel it raised the wisdom of so readily following Satan's system... with the GB wondering if Anthony still has Jehovah's holy spirit?

Especially if there's been any "incidents" reported to them around alcohol?

Two days ago, a reliable source, who has connections to personal acquiantances of AMIII told me the real reason: Health issues.

The thing is "health issues" really does cover a multitude of things, these days. Alcohol issues definitely comes under the rubric of "health issues". Even a clash of attitudes, if the GB decide to put the disagreement down to "stress"- and we know how good at compartmentalizing JWs are. Any perceived erratic behaviour can easily be attributed to "stress" and therefore be passed off as a health issue.

I still say that Anthony Morris is very likely a poorly controlled diabetic (and they are prone to do some very bizarre things...such as removing clothing etc). It's possible there was some inappropriate incident triggered by extremely low or high blood sugar. Now that's definitely health.

Which sounds crazier? Tibor living there and Lloyd killing two birds with one stone by having a dedicated flat and allowing Tibor to live there as part of his compensation? Or Lloyd paying for an empty flat with only the studio section and toilet facilities being used regularly?

Yup. If Lloyd is pleading poverty but paying for his own pad and a two bedroom flat just to record in a few hours a week, not requiring anything more specialised than four walls and a roof - his own bedroom would suffice (...on second thoughts..maybe not🤔) then he's more of a fool than I thought. I think it's more than a fair bet it's Tibor's pad (except I think it always has been and Lloyds probably wangled it as a freebie from Tibor when considering a job cuts!!)

How do you know how much Tibor is paid? If it were that low I doubt hed stay.

I'd say it's difficult to get that all-important first job in any creative field these days, let alone the sticks in Eastern Europe?

Yes it was. Ah ..that makes sense. I was confused because I certainly know elders of advanced age and as you say, given the shortage, it would be bonkers for them to delete experienced elders because they hit a particular number.

Fisherman I do agree with you that GB members are most certainly different. Even if Ant Mo was terminally ill and had weeks to live, they would allow him to remain in name only if need be. What Jesus has yolked together let no man pull assunder and all that.

Either there has been a major disagreement and Ant Mo has stepped down of his own volition. Or he has been removed due to no longer being qualified. They probably brought the new guys in as the deciding votes. Perhaps the 'old' GB felt too personally involved to make a balanced decision?

Either way it's obvious they need to contain him. Stripping him of his elderhood, or even disfellowshipping him, firstly condemns their friend to 'death' in their minds. Secondly such a move was disastrous in Ray Franz case. Remember Franz only resigned at first and initially was content to remain a JW. Only the public humiliation and DF him drove him to write his book.

Fisher one An elder is not removed for health or old age.

Fisherman I know this used to be the case. Many other people have said the same thing you have.

However unless I'm going barmy - and can anyone help me out here - I was sure a couple of years ago they put some age cap on being an elder??? It was like 75 or something? Same for COs?

I'm seeing so many elders say what you're saying Fisherman. That age or even infirmity isn't a bar to be an elder and certainly not a GB (well we know Freddie remained even as he really deteriorated). But I was sure that they made that announcement about age restrictions for elders....???

TonusOH don't think the stand-up video affected the Patreon numbers.

No I don't either. In fact it's quite an admirable thing to do.

But people here have been commenting on the relative lack of content he produces, and that he seems to be late with any topics he covers

I think he's got a hard core of loyal fans, but he'll loose numbers through people loosing interest & moving on, finding new content etc But most of all I don't think he'll get new exjws coming out of borg. Yes because of his history, but also his age to some extent. Younger leavers will gravitate to younger content to some extent but also those who are genuinely interested and creative with the subject. Lloyd is lackluster and without his "~~governing booby~~ helpers" whose passion & knowledge made all the difference, he's just (late) news update site.
