  What is your favorite EX- JW You Tube site and why???

  the mrs (third gen) and i have been on this site for a number of years now.

  we appreciate simon's efforts to keep this site active and available.

  i find a number of pimo jw friends enjoy youtube for some reason.

  We all love Wally (JWthoughts).

  I love Rick for his dedication and the phone in for older leavers and believers.

  Slim's choice above is probably one of my favourites. He doesn't make vids that often but he puts so much thought into them and they're oftenp hilarious.

  JW fairytale is a legend.

  Wendy Renay is professional, warm and supportive.

  Kim and Mikey keep us all informed. Mikey is a hoot.

  Marcus Vaughn ex walkill Bethelite actually gives out his number to support people. He rarely gets a mention yet he's always there for everyone.

  Yes Slim, he does. But he also has a business selling refurbished gaming stuff, too. He can't just live off the channel because he doesn't have bucket loads of patron's like a certain fella.

  for some my view can be unacceptable for others can be useful.

  It’s a safe bet they contacted Raymond first and he insisted that Jabba the Hutt also be interviewed.

  I was going to say that his connection with Dutch television is through Reclaimed Voices. He's already been interviewed by a television channel when that whole thing was happening. I'm guessing Raymond put his name forward*. I'm not even sure most of them would be aware of the whole Lloyd situation and if they were it would be filtered through him.

  As someone mentioned it's the language barrier to quite a large extent. With respect even when people speak excellent English they often miss the nuances of a person's behaviour - if they aren't familiar with the culture even more so.

  As to nihilism....come on we all struggle with that, those of us who've lost our faith. That has absolutely nothing to do with mental illness and it infuriates me when people confuse emotional discomfort with actual mental illness. Narcissism isn't a mental illness, Lloyd ....it's a personality disorder. If you've ever loved someone with a mental illness, the thought that suicide is an acceptable answer to their suffering is horrific. Oaf.

  I'm no conspiracy theorist folks but one thing I do know is how watchtower works and how they think. I'm convinced they put this out, not about him but for Toni. This is the GB version of a local needs. Listen to the beginning of Ricks broadcast to watch the JW.org video a couple of minutes in after the intro. Thoughts?

  PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

  i saw in the news where a teacher got mad at a student for coming in late during the pledge of allegiance and threw them against a wall and so the student was suing.. this made me want to ask, jehovah's witnesses stand up during the pledge of allegiance along with everyone else.

  why is that ok but, it wasn't ok for shadrach , meshach and abednego to bow down to the king's idol ?

  if the command had been for everyone who was sitting to stand at attention for the idol, wouldn't that have been the same thing ?

  I think the standing is about not showing disrespect, rather than showing allegiance.

  However I do very much take your point.

  Exactly FFreek 2005 it's a distinction without a difference. In this case they don't DF purely for legal reasons. Same for taking a blood transfusion. If watchtower kicked people out for joining up, taking blood or voting they'd be prosecuted by governments because every citizen has a right to those things in a democracy. Suffrage is universal and they'd be in hot water pretty quick if they forbade that, too. So as with joining up they DA.

  single shooter on the run, police doesn't rule out more shooters.

  Edenone This is crucial. And here comes where the Watchtower policies and culture come to play.

  I remember when I was younger we had knowledge of serious domestic abuse (physical elder abuse) perpetrated by a neighbour. We were forbidden by the elders to go to the police.....literally told "it's against our religion, we must remain neutral".

  (Compare Elder book directive if the hall is graffitied, or damaged).

  If it doesn't affect or harm Watchtower....don't bother. Ever. It's really that simple.

  It really boils down to the following:-

  Obey

  Donate

  Recruit

  Anything outside of this is a wasted expenditure of energy that could be utilized by Watchtower.
