  Resistance is NOT futile!

  all i want from this life is to be able to wash windows at bethel.. my story.. when i was fresh out of high school and pioneering, i said those exact words to my friends and family.

  all i wanted to do was be at the core of the organization where it was the safest.

  i gleefully told people that i'd gladly spend the rest of my life washing windows, waiting tables, doing laundry or cleaning bathrooms.

  Interesting that buddhist tradition is considered the source of the flower on the casket , it seems to me it is a very ancient universal homo sapien act of love and reverence for the departed.

  Name "UNWRITTEN" Rules That JWs Are Supposed To Follow

  as with the scribes and pharisees, there are a number of unwritten rules that witnesses are supposed to follow.

  here's a couple : "worldly" kids in society depictions are shown quite often wearing their baseball caps backwards.

  jehovah's witness youths would not want to imitate that "look".

  The problem with JWs is that it is an US American religion. One that got stuck in the fabled 1950s television land. A complete life of make believe.

  Couldn't agree more, hence the NO BEARD RULE, VERY UN-AMERICAN NOT UNCHRISTIAN to be specific, very unamerican 50's macarthy no commies here clean cut preppy look. I had a best friend whoose father had one , a liberal intellectual in the early 70's when his teacher wife converted. Clever man, designed aircraft but so clever he knew to keep his marriage happy he would have to convert. So. How to keep the vultures at bay?KEEP THE BEARD. GENIUS. When his beloved wife died a horrible death youngish of lung cancer having given her all to the org he fell apart.

  Love thy neighbour? Never was there a religon that cared less about one's neighbour. In pain? Armaggedons coming. Worried sick? Forget it big A's coming. Child dead? Stop moaning armaggedon comin'. And the worse thing is it made genuine good people feel like they were sinning if they gave time or money to good causes, but gave a pat on the back to the meanies who only flogged their mags.

  Sisters shouldn't wear too much makeup or jewelry Years ago, I bought my wife a full length mink coat, a dazzling diamond to go with the other jewelry and she always had designer handbags. "

  Good taste has never been on the list of rules for JW's - written or unwritten!

  Separated for over a month...

  it hasn't been easy at all... trying to care for two kids- ages 3 & 6, while working fulltime, barely any support from immediate family, my ex has only seen the kids twice for a few hours, ughhhh.... i make way to much money to qualify for any sort of help, ex barely makes anything so that's out.... this is a million times harder than i could have even imagined... but, we are managing somehow; abeit, a little creatively at times.... i had just started thinking to myself, "we can do this!

  " then, my house got robbed, about 10k worth of stuff stolen... ughhhh..... this is so depressing....

  Hey kiddo, I am so sorry about the robbery, have a good sound off here. Forget the money... why the crap hasn't he had the kids more???!!!! Is he a male chauv JW male?? Or is it cos you have just seperated so its difficult to see each other just now? Early stages are so hard... you just feel like giving in, come home!l Hey I would get honest and say you are having a hard time and get him to take the kids for the weekend at least. Especially if you get no extended family support, you are gonna burn out if not! I send you a karmic HUG 😀💋

  sure they have embraced the internet and electronic media etc.

  by their science is so far off it's sad ...but understandable.. the wt published several articles in the past dealing with reletivity etc.

  yes great....100 years old science today.. where are the quantum mechanic articles?

  Couldn't agree more, quantum mechanics = something can come from nothing

  Genetic science= evidence for many types of hominids, denisovian & neanderthal dna in modern sapien populations, switched off genes for all sorts of atavistic traits like human full body hair &tails and whale legs etc, we can also work out the no of generations back until our common ancestor with chimps etc

  Where are all these New Anointed Ones Coming from?

  back in the early 70s, right before 1975 we had about 7 or 8 thousand professed anointed.

  cant remember the exact number.

  but at every convention we were told that the end is close ---because---the number of anointed is getting smaller and smaller.
