  What's More Important...Taking care of immigrants or the needy in your country?

  i say take care of the needy ones first like our veterans and homeless and mentally ill, and then....take care of those not from this country.

  Excellent. What have you done lately )time donation, acting as an advocate, worked at a homeless shelter, donated money, etc.) to take care of our needy ones?

  Viv you are bang on..... You don't hear "help for hero's" complaining about not giving to oxfam, or Arpad Bassoon saying similar things about who takes priority or Ian Percy saying " only give to sailing charities" etc etc I could go on , the folk that do the most for others NEVER make statements like that.... Says it all really

  so, here's some news from my country.

  there was this 20 year old jw girl who was a rookie driver.

  she was in the car with her parents and for some reason decided to cross a railroad right before a train was coming.

  hi guys - new poster here.

  i was brought up a jw in the uk and stopped going not long after i was married.

  that was 20 years ago so i'm not really up to date with the current doctrinal flip flops or the new youtube obsessed gb.. came across this site while googling the name of a local elder who's just been convicted of possesion of a pc full of unpleasant pics of kids.. so, my question.

  That's why so many exjw are activists of one type or another ( even anonymous ones) as the WT is a "captive" organization - emotionally blackmailing people to stay on pain of loosing total support network (at times) via the cruel shunning policy that destroys families.

  Conflict of conscience versus family can even lead to suicidal ideation, it's that painful.

  isaiah 44:25-26, i am frustrating the signs of the empty talkers, and i am the one who makes diviners act like fools; the one confounding the wise men and turning their knowledge into foolishness; the one making the word of his servant come true and completely fulfilling the predictions of his messengers.

  the record shows your words and many predictions did not come true.

  again, the key word in isaiah 44:25-26 is "predictions" and the apostles never made any predictions ever.

  i was just reading this news clip about a mayor from my home town of waterbury, ct how was given a 37 year sentence for raping to minor girls.

  the fed were watching him " trying to determine whether giordano was taking bribes from a mafia building contractor, fbi agents learned he was systematically raping the 9- and 11-year old daughter and niece of a prostitute in his office in the city hall.".

  Sadly, I think you answered your own question Brokeback - they where watching him to see if he was "taking bribes from a mafia building contractor". So in other words paedophilia wasn't their priority, they just happened to stumble on it whilst investigating fraud. The good old adage " property is 9 tenths of the law", people come second it seems. However, kudos that they acted promptly once discovered. A prostitutes kids so the usual crap- poor people/kids matter even less.

  New "most frustratingly addictive game ever" to play - agar.io

  one of my kids got me hooked on this.

  it's incredibly simple but also kind of fun and addictive.. you start as a small cell and need to eat things to grow.

  that's pretty much the game.. of course as you get bigger you can eat smaller cells too ... and bigger ones can eat you.. as you get bigger you get slower but you can "eject mass" to shrink and speed you up (w key).

  I hope they throw rocks at them.

  I mean to make my own stand one day.

  If there is a god, deliver up to mine hands a child in this circumstance, I fully intend to crossmatch, collect and administer the blood despite parental refusal...whilst the wheels of justice turn...you only live once...better make it count x

  how can they allow such blatant religious discrimination in who they employ?

  Mephis is correct that , at least in th UK, you can have faith based care homes like Jewish care homes etc

  Simon mentioned the employment situation and I am pretty certain he's right you cannot specify an employee's religon when you advertise for staff. I know at least the Jewish care homes don't as I've done agency work in them. I think the most they can require is cultural sensitivity/diversity training etc
