there were other people who either killed themselves or tried to kill themselves while they were at "the house of god.

one person who did kill himself was richard wheelock, press room overseer ......he jumped out of a window at the watchtower farm one day.

it seemed, he was never quite the same after his wife "willy" died.

i decided to put an end to my affiliation with the jws for good.

did you know that job's family celebrated birthdays?

the word translated "his own day" at job 1:4 is the same word translated "day of his birth" in job 3:1. .

seems deceptive, does it not, to change that translation.

And another thing( OK ..a little off topic but I don't know where else to stick it). It's related to " being separate/ different, its also another annoying WT watchword but I have never seen the word " spiritistic" anywhere but within the WT lexicon. Surely it should be " spiritualistic" no?? I guess they think it sounds too much like a condemnation of spiritual. Any thoughts?

Sex and Marriage

most religions indoctrinate a standard sexual 'morality' into their followers.

sex before marriage is wrong, gay sex is wrong, same sex marriage is wrong, masturbation is wrong.. let's not turn this into another religion bashing thread (too easy), i was wondering how much of that pre-packaged thinking you still hold to?.

i still value marriage, more than ever.

We made it! Checked into our room........... laid down on a bed together for the first time ever and..... fell asleep in one another's arms.

HaHaHa Giordano .....me too!!!Hot stuff didn't happen until the next day! I wonder how many stressed out exhausted couples this actually happens too...a fair few I'm willing to bet!

hello and thanks to everyone for participating on this forum it has really been of much value, for those of you that post here know that your words are not lost you never know who is reading your expressions, lives are being changed and nonsense challenged.

i’m not much of a writer so excuse my untrained writing style and grammar but i want to share my story to help anyone who is visiting here to see that we are real people, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters who have come here for answers, there is no agenda, just searching for truth.

anyways what are the odds that they would show up as I'm typing my delusional ramblings about my awaking. I just thought it bizarre, if they where writing this story they would of said the angles sent them...LOL. So I Got a meeting with the new CO any thoughts?

If they showed up at a random motel miles away from anywhere remotely connected to you and found you posting at 03.00 am...maybe then you might have reason to suspect the angel connection....NB drug dealers usually turn up at peoples doors just when they are trying to get clean too!!!

Beautiful share...relate to not being " allowed" to truly grieve as a JW, its seen as a weakness. So glad to know you...any friends you make here are unconditional xxxxx

I was wondering when someone was going to post some kind of eulogy to Bowie...

Je.suis.oisif.I felt such a terrible pain when I heard, he's been such a big part of my life...the magical part anyway, it hurts to think that amazing piece of sentient energy we knew as David Bowie no longer exists. Its not surprising his death, in particular, brings on existential angst for a bunch of music loving dubs who've just learnt this cruel but beautiful universe is profoundly unconcerned about the death even of a creative giant like Bowie, who means so much to us.🌹
