😂😂😂 still ADD This tickled me silly to think of the terrified dubs tip-toeing by, in case they get demon possessed!!
It's not very per their theology, though! What if there is someone with the right "heart condition" there! Why is a spiritualist any more Babylon-the-Great than Catholics or Hindus!!!
I'd never heard of this being in the UK👀!
What did you think before you woke up? Or were you not living nearby before?

Anyway this ones subject is the Western New York connection with JWs. One thing that tickled me was this Town Lili Dale, which is the HQ of the National spiritualist Association. I think the organization/faith began during the '2nd Awakening' (the era when the Bible students also began)around 1870, mostly as a result of the fame of the three Fox Sisters. Everyone who lives in the town is a spirit medium now and they have their yearly conference there, too.
The local JWs refuse to preach there!!! They are not permitted to even enter the town!
NB I notice it's termed "spirit-UAL-ist" not "Spiritist" as the witnesses term it. Anyone know why witnesses call it "spiritism" like that? It always irritated and puzzled me when I was in.
Anyway do sub to this channel and have a look, you won't be disappointed!

The faithful and discrete slave has responsibility “to care for the masters belongings as well as its material assets”!!I don’t remember where it said that in the Bible - material assets!! I also seem to remember the ballyhoo about the fact it doesn’t get to care for all the masters belongings until after Armageddon !!
Do I remember correctly there??!

SuperBowl 54: US Sports vs UK Sports
by Simon inso a few things .... apparently it's superbowl 54, and also the centennial of the sport.
erm ... i'm not a mathematician, but aren't there 46 superbowls missing?.
americans claim that uk sport ("soccer", aka real football) is too low scoring.

Betheliesalot I could cry watching that 1984 Super Bowl, for my children. The awful over sexualized untalented rubbish that passes for musical entertainment now they are being exposed to.silent Buddha I agree it’s porn, really. Not judging but it’s pretending to be music and no I don’t see that as liberation for women but actually going backwards
Not that I saw it in the UK lol I don’t think we got American football until the late 80s. I remember because my brother Marcus was quite into it watching it on channel 4

Fundraiser: Pancreatic cancer : Raffle Man Utd shirt signed by team
by Diogenesister inyou might have noticed some of my comments over the last few months have been a bit down.. you see my wonderful brother, marcus, is terminally ill with pancreatic cancer.
to make things worse, as if they could be, he was finally blessed with his first child, liliana, 19 months ago and we're all absolutely heartbroken for this little girl.. my sister joined a running club some years back and she's finally got a place to run the london marathon 2020. she's donating money raised by the run to pancreatic cancer uk.
they're currently researching for a test...its basically why the prognosis for this cancer is so poor, there are few very specific symptoms... until it's too late.. her footie mad boyfriend has got his paws on a signed man utd football shirt which they are raffling.

Thank you so much sparky one. Lucy has a just giving page where you donate to pancreatic cancer UK directly.Ill post it up when my phone charges up. I’m on my children’s I pad at the moment because my phone died and just about to go to bed. I’ll reply tomorrow but I really am touched at your thoughts. I more or less raised my brother...he’s kind of a brother/son/dad/ all rolled into one (complicated family. Mum remarried and left us with our alcoholic father so were very very close)😥

Hi everyone. You might have noticed some of my comments over the last few months have been a bit down.
You see my wonderful brother, Marcus, is terminally ill with pancreatic cancer. To make things worse, as if they could be, he was finally blessed with his first child, Liliana, 19 months ago and we're all absolutely heartbroken for this little girl.
My sister joined a running club some years back and she's finally got a place to run the London Marathon 2020. She's donating money raised by the run to Pancreatic Cancer UK. They're currently researching for a test...its basically why the prognosis for this cancer is so poor, there are few very specific symptoms... until it's too late.
Her footie mad boyfriend has got his paws on a signed Man Utd football shirt which they are raffling. The link is below. Sign in to face book to see more and to donate she has a " Just Giving" page. The shirt comes with a fully authenticated certificate by the way. Oh and a numbered security hologram from Man UntdHave a look.
Thank you for your time ❤

How the hell did Tony Morris get to be a GB member.
by JimmyYoung inthis guy was not a born in and did not really work his way up from the very bottom.
he kind of got some kind of fast track.
its a bit strange.

I agree Snare & Racket and having two “plants”.....I mean sons in Bethel, probably also “type A” personalities, to smooth the way probably helps, too.
Id say he greased a fair few palms alright....he’s often bragged his family is rich (not really true by the way). His wife was ‘born in’ so she may have had an influential uncle or something.....NB Toni had only been baptized 6 months when they got married so I highly doubt he was at least a ministerial servant (remember his awful talk?) at the time!!!
edit: Pete za hut I was thinking that too. Born ins are trained not to say boo to a goose if they’re not in charge so he would have found it easy to get them all ship shape and in line!!🤣On the other hand a convert is more likely to put their foot in it and not pick up the myriad unspoken cues witnesses notice. It also looks good to have a few converts in the ranks given their theology. If everyone at the top was raised in it doesn’t fit with their idea of what the true religion should look like.

Yes I think as Slim and TruthBKnown have noted, I think that it would depend how you define a JW. In terms of people who believe to a lesser or greater extent, it’s the ‘truth’? I think there’s definitely 8 million.
If we’re talking how Watchtower defines a JW, attends most meetings and submits a FS report every month? I would say that number is less than they claim...at least in the North Western countries. However unfortunately I’d say many whom watchtower would term inactive still contribute financially.
