  Quick question. Marc and others have mentioned something happened with ICSA and LE. Can someone tell me or point me where I can read/see what happened please. I mean what the heck

  Dagney I have posted this elsewhere. Two videos, one is the beginnings of icsa and how Marc and Katy Kitten etc got the ball rolling. Lloyd being pushy and talking over others (I think Kim Silvio mentions this). The other is a JW community podcast on how Lloyd behaved toward BCG (I was there for that one)

  Where do we go from here, the Lloyd-gate?

  the problem is where do we go from here?

  lloyd is not going to go away , he has too much to loose(money) neither will his followers go as we have seen the last few days there was hardly a drop to his membership .so what's next?

  we will be branded in the same colours and because of him we won't be taken seriously anymore.

  kids at a food bank have no idea who it is serving them. But it is activities like these that help former addicts see other people as real human beings with internal value and worth rather than simply objects for their manipulation, enabling, gratification etc.

  People become addicts for very different reasons, there's also often quite a big disparity between the reasons male and females do. Whilst it's true some are self aggrandising egoists (King babies - I think Lloyd fits in here a bit) who fail to treat people as Kant puts it as not also only means to an end, but as ends in themselves. (Think gambler who gambles away his families money, or sex addict who repeatedly cheats on his wife).

  However addictions vary and some rather take the form of *self harm* particularly in opiate addictions. Many female addicts find themselves in the situation of being used, rather, because they are often too empathetic with damaged people. This often stems from disorganized attachments to the mother figure as a child and results in fearful/avoidant attachment. They feel they don't deserve love or closeness from others and is the result of abuse and trauma in childhood (I've found a strong correlation here with disorganized attachment to the mother in particular - John Lennon was a really good example of this).

  This is another reason I'm not fully onboard with 12 steps for everyone. It tends to work with people who find it through the criminal justice system, for the reasons you mention. But the kind of woman you might find in a refuge, for example, needs a very different approach. She certainly doesn't need to go make amends to others.(I'm a big Alice fan, by the way) It's strokes for folks, really.

  am iiii off topic remarks at the anual meeting, are online at broadcasting.. he says in the early 70s he did not believe the end was near, and told his sons not to believe jw's who stating the end is near because the system could go on to 2020.. g..

  It's highly suspicious that he just so happened to forecast the year before the one he was in at the talk.

  Even though it was a throwaway comment, it still means he's suuuper special because the old Holy Spirit gave him the heads up!

  Most of all it still means Armageddon is really near right now !!

  She's a 'Pick me'. It drives me mad when these bleeding heart women won't hold the line. There's a world of difference between what a private individual does - and his family's reaction to it - and what a man that's all over social media pushing himself in (via his boys club) to represent girls and women who are victims of rape and abuse. Not to mention domestic abuse is not just about violence.

  Why do I say pushes himself in? That's what the other people at Icsa claim. He was an elder for less than a year and he wrote a biography - why does that make him some kind of damn expert?

  Here's another time he behaved outrageously toward BCG (the ARC abuse victim,). It's on JW community podcast around 40 if you don't want to hear it all.

  Sea Breeze that's an excellent piece of analysis and I tend to agree with you. I have some reservations around 12 steps only because some will shun people who relapse and there's an element of policing others. But otherwise everything you said is spot on. I found it very interesting how you describe JW parents as 'shut down' because they're emergency minded...so so true.

  I think Jane is basically saying all the Christians who rang up Rick Fearon on the Six Screens were saying Lloyd did this because he's an athiest (sigh) may be wrong.

  Funny enough it descended into hilarious dick slinging contest about who was a witness longer, who has more JW relatives and who did more pioneer hours at the end 🤣😭it starts at 2:18:17

  New Book - The Reluctant Prostate

  hey everyone, i'm writing a new book.. it's the entirely fictional story about a character called "roy devons", an obese clown who was kicked out of clown college because he couldn't stop touching himself.

  he launches his own youtube channel where he tells the world how wrong and unfunny clowns really are.

  the world already knows this, and never really had much todo with clowns anyway, although some other ex-clowns felt like they needed to be reminded regularly of their past lives.. he hits upon the idea of asking for donations to support efforts to convince ex-clowns to get their prostates checked.

  SBF Remember that Irish guy who wrote a book about how to escape Jehovah's witnesses? Except he made it free?

  Then Lloyd got wind of the idea and wrote a cheap Amazon copy himself....and tried to charge people £200 to have him put THEIR story in the back! Then he gave them a special offer of £150 instead when...er ...no one took the marvellous opportunity.

  I’m actually happy to hear that he’s “sexually repressed”. Repressed implies there’s something bigger is just waiting to bust out. If this is repressed, I shudder to think of what lies underneath.

  Where is the evidence he effed children? Send it to the police. But if you haven't got any then you're just an elder at the JC trying to disfellowship him because you don't like him. If anyone actually cared about these children he has alleged f****** they would have reported him to whatever authority that has jurisdiction over a possible paedophile who is still at large, according to you.

  I actually don't care if the Thai girls where a smidge over 18 or five years over 18. It's still exploitative, it's still dangerous, it's still painful, miserable and lonely. There's still violence, addiction and very high risks of their contracting HiV. Whether they catch it at 16 or 21 they are still SHUNNED by their family. It's legal to have sex with a Thai girl at 15....is that ok then? No law broken? I don't have an obsession with age ....it's about power dynamic and the fact many of these girls are forced by criminals.

  How do you think, as a woman and ok I'll say it a rape victim, twice actually, it makes me feel him representing young girls like I was???

  It's got bugger all to do with 'taking him down' you know fully well he's not going anywhere.
