Ok he's definitely aiming to drive her to such distraction with such patently absurd claims, that she reveals her qualifications. Therefore giving him ammunition to at least make her life unpleasant. I've no doubt whatever professional body Kim is registered with will have no truck with that maliciously minded fool (and if she is retired she may have let her registration lapse, since I can tell you from experience it's not cheap. You have to pay to maintain your place on a professional register, so if you don't intend to practice there's no point continuing to pay)

I pointed out to him that Kim explains in Cappy's interview why her work on JW watch/with Lloyd was not in a professional capacity and could not be considered a contract such as the attorney/client relationship is.

NCC What is certain is Kim's reply to Karlo Novosel's letter was far superior to the garbage he typed out. If any lawyer needs to be asked what type of credentials they posses it is Karlo's.

Plus what a rip roaring cheek that he takes advantage of FREE volunteer work from Kim, only to claim she did it for "prominence".

Not to mention Kim gives us information that would not only normally be extremely costly, but also hard to find. Given it's not easy to find a lawyer/solicitor that understands how Watchtower works.

Kim please do not disclose any of your credentials he is obviously fishing in order to try and blackmail you and/or attempt to get you struck off/complain etc etc

What I don't understand is in most countries if you make a criminal complaint it's up to the cops/public prosecutor to take the complaint further if they think a law has been broken and a conviction is likely. If it isn't and it's not even in the public interest to take it further (it costs the public purse money), it doesn't even get as far as a judge. I don't get it.

Also that so called 'courtesy letter' was outright blackmail in my opinion. I'm sure in the UK it would be viewed as such.

If something is free to do with no barrier to it being initiated, then it can't be used as evidence of anything other than it was initiated. So it should neither strengthens or weakens the other case. Only a verdict would do that.

I agree it's completely meaningless as evidence. I suppose I'm just assuming they may question it if he hadn't completed it as a formality?*

TonusOH *Assuming it hadn't got to trial before he lodges civil, which I cannot imagine it would have. Either because of a massive backlog in cases, or because of juristrictional issues. Either of which could have been the real reason he actually bothered with something so pointless - purely PR stunt!

1) because I'm assuming it's probably free to do so, being a criminal complaint?

2)So that when & if he lodges a civil suit, he can document that he registered a criminal complaint as supporting evidence?

Cofty knows Paul Gillies. If I recall correctly he was a friend of his brother? A very four Scotsman by all accounts.

If he's partaking now there is no doubt in my mind these men know the truth....or at least don't swallow all the BS because partaking is clearly a cynical ploy to become a GB member. He's on course to be the GB member in power when the end comes.....Watchtower's end, that is!

LMsA As for the London trip, I think it is possible that he’s seeing lawyers to initiate civil proceedings. It is my understanding that British law makes suing someone for defamation and libel a lot easier than in other countries. I believe there are at least two parties he can use this against based on their residency - Marc and Cora Latham and JW Beliefs Discussed

I was thinking this but I didn't want to say anything publicly in case it gave Lloyd ideas! However for JWBD, as we've said before, truth is the best defence. He hasn't mentioned anything Cedars didn't confirm and has gone out of his way to shut down anything connected with the Marco rumours. Cora has said nothing as far as I know. Mark has responded to Lloyds legal threats and possibly made a video responding to Lloyds livestream. I don't think Lloyd has a leg to stand on when it comes to any of that.

Now where he may have some legal recourse is when it comes to the supposed "Marco" sexting messages.

Marc Latham made a short video of himself reporting the so-called 2017 "Marco" sexting messages to the police, due to the claim that the other party was a minor. As far as I know those messages were originally nothing to do with Marc Latham. The only reason he reported them, is that he is resident in the UK where the alleged incident took place.

Aside from truth, another strong defence to defamation is "opinion".

As long as Marc believes those messages were Lloyds (his "opinion"), that Marc himself is not the author of these messages and as long as he is not aware they are fake and has therefore maliciously reported them, he is protected in law. As far as I can tell (I'm no expert!) Marc's friend Kim Brookes passed him what she claimed was proof of a criminal act. As long as he did so in good faith, it's not unreasonable for Marc to report it. Whether he should have done so publicly is another matter but I still don't believe it's defamation given the circumstances.

JoJo I don't see a connection between paying for sex and child sex abuse.Apples and oranges. Sex work is legal in Parts of Nevada, its not even in the same ball park as child sex abuse.

We are not saying visiting a prostitute is the same as committing child sex abuse (although in some cases you may be doing just that). If you read the comments you will see we are concerned that:

1. there is a clear and well documented connection between child sex abuse and prostitution.

2. That connection is even stronger when you factor in the number of women trafficked, sold, groomed and otherwise abused by criminal gangs in Thailand.
3.When called to account Evan's didn't care and even doubled down on his "right" to use these 'women' in this way.

5. He Attempted to have his supporters abuse and harass those who made a principled stand over this issue.

4. Therefore we refuse to accept this man as an advocate in our name for victims of CSA, domestic violence and sexual assault.

Judge RF I think that if you turn into any mainstream religion whether watchtower want to admit they are or not, you are owned by the government. Being a religion means you are automatically tax exempt. Yet the governments offer tax exempt form that you are not required to fill out. By filling out and returning these forms, you bind yourself to government restrictions and regulations on how to run your religion. Watchtower for years even through part of the N.H Knorr era, refused to be called a religion (see the 1943 watchtower article "eve religions first victim").

I couldn't agree more. We know the only real way to get Watchtower to tow the line is to threaten them with removal of their tax breaks/exemptions. We saw this in Australia with the redress scheme.
