Can this rumor be TRUE?
by Debra Ann Romano inrumor has it there is “new light” (gag!
) regarding blood and organ transplants since a recent royal member on the wts board found reason to ok one for himself!
i mean this shit is so far removed from my life now, but hearing something so outrageous, that once cost people close to me their lives, is too unsettling to not want to know..

Wow....no wonder Watchtower is pushing the boat out and trying to get good publicity with those paid for puff pieces on local news shows (with Phil Brumley is it?)
Meanwhile....why do poor old Sikh's have such a bad rating? What do they ever do to anyone?(except open sweet shops and become doctors)🤔

disgusting money grab attempt

Blues....firstly it is for survivors. Secondly do you really believe Watchtower would have used it "solely" for Holocaust remembrance? Or rather as a Watchtower recruitment tactic by way of mentioning the Holocaust?
They're also plenty wealthy enough to do honour to the memories of Holocaust victims. One way would be to come out and publicly condemn Rutherford's "Statement of Facts" letter to Hitler.

Organ transplants have been ok since the 80s and blood fractions are now acceptable, again for some time. How long have you been out/away for?
Other than that I don't know if there's been some new change? I do know the slimey slitherer's have deemed it a "conscience matter"(by which they mean: you take blood and you automatically disassociate yourself, to avoid legal backlash for Watchtower). Unless of course you live in Bulgaria, in which case when it comes to JW's taking blood....knock yourselves out!!

Is it mathematically posible for Noah and his sons to have populated the earth?
by Fisherman inbible says flood occurred approximately 4000 years ago.
that is about *200 generations of breeding to get to the population on earth now.
keep in mind that the population increase is geometric.

Anony mous So you needed to produce a lot of babies just to replace yourself and then the women had a 15-25% chance at death every birth which would stop further reproduction.
Was going to say, that definitely would be a massive factor. I certainly wouldn't have made it past 22, nor my first child. Unless I'd had a very skilled midwife, given I had a breach and would have hemorrhaged had someone not manually delivered my placenta. Therefore neither would the twins who came next been born☠️

Oh this turns my stomach. It shouldn't surprise me, but the lengths this greedy organisation and the sycophants who help run it will go to, to line it's pockets, shock me even now.
Edit: Waton, may I ask were you a child born in occupied Europe? Or your parents?

Appendix #10/a (may be substituted as the Bart D. Ehrman rule) This is an absolute last resort for the following reason: you have to dig into your own pocket and pay up for interesting/relevent guests (who are far too busy to be aware of your BS)

Are Both The JW And The Ex-JW Community a Cult?
by Vanderhoven7 incharlie ryde writes:.
let us use the same bite model for determining if something is a cult to both being a jw and being ex-jw.
mind you this is a short summary.. b- behavioral control.

I've seen both here and on Reddit is that as soon as someone like me tries to defend his belief in God, the Bible or other JW teachings then he gets attacked regardless. This in my opinion is exactly the behavior of a cult, no offence
No offence taken by me. I tend to agree on Reddit in particular people are far too aggressive when they disagree with people of faith. Rather hypocritical when we promote freedom of thought. However I think if one were to come here or Reddit, and promote or defend the shunning policy, I'm afraid I don't have any sympathy when they get the inevitable response. People who've been deeply hurt and had their families destroyed by the cruelest thing you can do to a social animal, will find it pretty hard to respond in a measured, reasonable tone.
That said, if you want to talk about your beliefs in JW doctrines that aren't overtly harmful, such as no such thing as hell fire, neutrality, or not celebrating Christmas, again it's hypocritical for so-called free thinkers to just dog pile you. Politely disagreement is of course ok and pointing out logical or scriptural inconsistencies is part of life. Only in witness land are thoughts & beliefs ridgedly policed.

Common sense on Jockland's gender Bill
by LoveUniHateExams innicola sturgeon's daft plan to introduce a gender bill which allows anyone aged 16 and over to legally change gender without a doctor's diagnosis of gender dysphoria has rightly been stopped by pm rishi sunak.. under the rules of devolvement, the uk government can overrule holyrood if the pm so chooses.. lots of predictable howling form the scotch nuts, with ridiculous claims that rishi is trying to organise a fight with holyrood.
of course, it's actually the other way round - the snp has been trying to pass this gender bill in order to drive a wedge between scotland and the rest of the uk.. sensibly, rishi has pulled rank on sturgeon and stopped her nonsense.. nicola sturgeon needs to know her place ....

Why do people conflate being gay with the "trans" movement?
Being same sex attracted is an unchangeable trait like your race or your sex.
When gay people fought for equal rights, such as the right to marry, they were not infringing on anyone else's rights. In other words, in giving them equal rights there was no conflict of interest with another group.
This is not so with gender identity. Firstly it is something no one is able to define. It is classed as a 'feeling of discomfort' around ones gender. But how can a biological male know what it feels like to be a woman?(spoiler alert: no one does. Even women don't 'feel like' women. If we didn't have bodies and were just floating heads no one would know what gender they were). Secondly it does infringe on the rights of others. On the right of women to feel comfort, safety and dignity in their intimate spaces.
Associating the umbrella term trans with same sex attracted people is damaging to the gay community because trans people fall into the following categories:
1. People with genuine gender disphoria. The majority of whom are overwhelmingly gay, or homosexual transexuals. Traditionally these would come under the LGBT group and I would argue they are being damaged by the following groups also classed as "trans"
2. The 'gender queer' bunch who are mainly straight white men or bi women who want oppression points and street cred. Oh, and weirdos. Also sadly a lot of young gay women have been swept up in this having internalised homophobia. They are having damaging surgeries and going into early menopause through anabolic steroid use.
3. Autogynophille males. Around 5% of the male population who find it erotic to dress/act/be seen as a woman. It's a fetish or paraphilia. There's nothing wrong per sa with this, if it's not used as a way of denigrating women and gaining access to their spaces.
As to transitioning young kids, there is research showing puberty blockers lead to developmental neurological damage, poor bone density leading to osteoporosis, swelling of the brain (interracial pressure), heart problems etc Let alone the issue of consent when it comes to sterilising kids and preventing them ever having orgasm and therefore any kind of love life. The post surgical problems are probably too graphic to list on this forum but include anal fistulas.
Edit: DD I agree. There's also a lot of conflation with body dismorphia and gender disphoria. I would argue a large minority of young girls and boys experience body dismorphia at some point. Anorexia is a form. The rate of young women attending gender clinics rocketed by 2000% in the UK over za few years. Mainly social media driven but when you hear their experiences so many have been neglected, have autism, victims of CSA etc and girls tend to internalise anger and focus on their bodies. It used to be cutting. Now it's cutting off your breasts
