SBF Because Morris came from the service department when Jaracz was in charge, as did the majority GB members come through the service department, which has a reputation for being hardline. Yet the most recent GB appointments have not come from the service department. So perhaps there has been a revolt against the Jaracz endorsed hardliners who came up through the service department, exacerbated by the recent legal problems and by a growing awareness that Jaracz was a bad apple.
Well now this is relevent. I think there's only been a couple of GB who haven't come from the service department. I wasn't aware the two new-
fanglednew-feagled members didn't come from the service department. I think that says a lot. -

Van means in JW ORG “speak” but ONE dreadful thing. brother Morris must have been DELETED, Removed from Watchtower HQ by reason of undergoing a Judicial Committee action hearing, possibly for matters involving Alcoholism and causing serious “embarrassment” to Jehovah.
This is definitely incorrect. Or at least poorly phrased. Any Bethelite who requires Judicial action is immediately removed from Bethel. They don't allow them to sleep even a night following Judicial action of any sort. Because they haven't announced he is no longer one of the Bethel family, we can be sure whatever happened, it was not officially convened as a Judicial committee.
If the problem is alcoholism, as seems likely, they will need to contain him. A loose cannon with a tendency to go off script and say too much, they cannot afford to make an enemy of him, that's for sure.

As per Ray Franz, the GB needs 2/3 of votes to decide on important matters, such as change in doctrines or policy. Now, when they were 7, a change could only be obtained with a minimum of 5 votes in favor. Conversely, 3 votes would be enough to block a change.
It's changed as far as I know. Eden to unanimous vote in order to enact change.
Great walk through though, and if the voting system remained a likely scenario. I do see Toni as the type to throw in the towel if he were defeated by politiking.

I thought it was ok.
I used to go to a lot of comedy nights when I was younger. In fact I saw a lot of people that became pretty well known. The best gig I saw was Mark Lamarr, believe it or not, who did a whole set on David Livingstone (as in "Dr. Livingstone, I presume"). Can't say why but it was hilarious.
That's what I love about small towns and cities in mainland Europe. Everyone's so welcoming and friendly. I'm not surprised he's got a great audience. They love their live music and performances. Booze is way cheaper, too and you don't get charged a fortune for entrance. I hate the UK like that. Everyone's so bloody cold and it's expensive. Costs you £50 just for a couple of pints in a crappy boozer let alone entertainment 😫
