  repeats an anecdote about how his dad tried to school him on sexual behaviour during field service.

  “Lloyd, at school in the toilet boys will touch themselves and will make it grow huge. You should not do this”

  Lloyd then relates how he misinterpreted it and thought his penis would explode to an abnormal size, complete with gestures and making a “whoosh” sound.

  Figures. So Lloyd your piss poor jokes aren't even your jokes. This idea has been straight up pilfered from a Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders skit. I kid you not.

  Advice on fade?

  hello, i’ve just joined here and am hoping for some advice.

  i was baptised a long time ago but left soon after (da).. i recently returned and have a bible study.

  was reinstated about a year ago.

  I understand not wanting to be dishonest. Many of us are hard wired like that. But if you want to maintain relationships, for yourself and your children's sake, I would use the fact your mother is unwell, quoting the bible verse about honouring your mother and father (Exodus 20:12) as a way of avoiding in person meetings etc

  With time you can look for other Bible study avenues (David & Vivian Aspinal on You Tube, for example, you can contact). The one thing you can never, ever say is that you have doubts about the Governing Body. That will qualify you for immediate disfellowshipping on grounds of apostasy!

  so the wt society is going to contest the recent norway ruling.. jehovah’s witnesses to appeal unconstitutional ruling in norway (jw.org).

  their true colours are shown in the statement: "the decision to deregister jehovah’s witnesses denies us the financial aid and other benefits that the government provides to over 700 registered religious communities in the country.

  additional consequences include losing the right to appoint and authorize ministers of jehovah’s witnesses as officiants for weddings.".

  Point two: Norway's decision is an outlier. No other European governments are showing any signs of doing what Norway did.

  To be fair, I'm not sure there are too many countries although allowing Watchtower to claim charitable status that actively give cash donations to Watchtower. Those that do I'm sure will be taking notes.....🤔

  He's not been poncing too much recently. I'm convinced he has at least one big supporter giving him a basic living wage on a monthly basis. Another example of sunk cost fallacy issues. Culties be culting and all that🤦🏼‍♀️

  Governing body giving false alarm as a watch dog

  i need help regarding a video where geoffrey jackson likened the governing body to a watch dog given false alarms to its owner just like they do regarding numerous false alarms about the world coming to an end.

  here is why i need that video.

  to make comparison with the words of geoffrey jackson (the false dog illustration) fully, the words of gerrit losch (who was reading out list of those who had given false predictions and alarms in times past before jehovah’s witnesses took over) .

  by now, it should be painfully obvious that we live in a post tonny morris era where the floods of organizational changes have become possible and a new version of the religion, some have called it warchtower 2.0 is emerging with a soft approach to disfellowshipping practices across the board for all those sinners.

  nevertheless 3 groups of people will still be targeted for harsh excommunication, we know the first two well :csa perpetrators and apostates.

  Biahi Interestingly, after they divorced, he called to ask me out on a date. I turned him down flat, I wanted nothing more to do with witnesses. So I guess she is guilty of scheming to end her marriage. 🤷‍♀️

  It sounds like she had played "kiss, marry or avoid" with him....and guess which sister he picked to "kiss or marry"? Biahi!! So she asked you to baby sit!

  I love the "living in a post Toni Morris era"😂 . Great terminology. The PTM era or should it be 'Post Morris Toni' era? (PMT era😂)

  I agree with everything you say Phil. My only caveat is that I've known of women confessing to adultery they either didn't commit, or commited unwillingly on one occasion, in order to escape a violent partner. In this case WT need to allow divorce - and not just separation - without condemning the innocent party.

  Sydney so you're basically in a full relationship with your long term boyfriend and you both hope to marry.

  Unless you can convince the elders you won't continue to fornicate and you will marry asap, cash strapped or not, it looks like you will be DF. However weddings cost the price of the marriage licence, money isn't necessary. You can have your wedding celebration once you've saved up (maybe as a 'blessing' or renewal of vows etc).

  I think that's the only way around this if you don't want to be DF and/or leave the religion. It's more likely - as others have said - you will have the 90 dAy DF.

  You haven't said if you have witness family. In my experience this will also affect how they treat you. They're harsher if they have you by the short and curlies with a witness family to loose!

  Folk guitar playing, educated professionals but Hippy peace-nicks during the Vietnam then nuclear proliferation era, ripe for the plucking. The women bringing in husbands who wanted to initially keep an eye on their wives and kids, but then caving to keep the family together.

  What could it hurt, after all? Sunday service with these friendly, honest people? A great community in which to raise your young family?? CSA , the blood ban and shunning a million miles away from your mind when you're in a good Christian community & healthy, happily married with very small kids🤷🏻‍♀️

  Well I was a baby of 1 when that was published. No one I knew was even a JW...yet! That didn't happen until the 70s🤷🏻‍♀️
