  Any Jehovah's Witnesses in Cyprus?

  i cannot disclose my name at the moment, but please note that there is a movement of jw's that know the truth about this disgusting cult.

  if you're in cyprus and are a jehovah's witness, but know that something's wrong with the religion, look out for the four winged phoenix in next years 3 day assembly.. we have members in the government that are trying to overturn some laws regarding jw's.

  Is there any hope for the uneducated Jw's?

  i was thinking of the ones who would say to me " i don't like to read/study" " i'm not really academinc".

  are these people doomed to blindly follow the gb forever, thinking that all the study has been done for them and they will just belive what they are told?.

  is it mainly the smart thinking people who leave?.

  Yes blondie, and I pointed that out to him but he is stuck in his ways! That's also why he annoys me so much. Like I said before he is generally a smart intelligent person but he has no common sense - he has a 14 month old child he doesn't buckle in when he drives, and he drives like a drunk. He also thinks vaccinations are evil things and refuses to give them to his daughter. But if she gets sick, I bet he'll go to the Doctor. It frustrates me how some people can be so smart and then so stupid. I don't have sympathy for JWs who are like that. It means they are happy to be ignorant and perhaps that's why there are that sort of people in the cult?

  I know several JWs who are smart people... Unfortunately you can have lots of knowledge but no common sense. Sometimes it is the unintelligent ones who can see the problems easier. I haven't seen it go any one way but I'd think that some feel they are becoming educated by JW teachings and thus hold to them fast otherwise they have nothing. Its the smart ones that really annoy me. I know a guy who fixes medical machines and knows an awful lot about physics but as soon as a scientific FACT goes against the bible he writes it off... He believes the world is only 7000 years old!

  if you know tell me also schedules meetings i would go there on sunday..

  A sure way to find your 'brothers' and 'sisters' would be to visit a UN building. I don't know if there is one in Manchester but I hear you can become a member via the local library. :P Its on either 607 or 589 B.C.E. Road.

Then aghain you've been taught that all apostates are liars so we must be conspiring to give you bad directions! If you can't understand these directions, how the hell do you get the nonsense seventy weeks prophecy!? Stop wasting people's time, say thank you, and enjoy your holiday.

  hi all, this might be a silly question but i am honestly thinking about it.

  i don't believe in god or angels but i am still curious as to this: the bible says that the stars are too many to number but that god knows them all "even by name".

  logically then he would know the names of all his myriads of angels, right?

  But my questions haven't really been answered. If JWs teach that names are so important hence why they go around claiming it's Jehovah etc surely the Angels would have names and not just Cherub 1564252 etc? My point was God called Satan Opposer? As for Jesus not being Michael or not... Who cares!? The bible is a load of tripe anyway. There are no unicorns, fairies or angels.

  Hi all, this might be a silly question but I am honestly thinking about it. I don't believe in God or Angels but I am still curious as to this: The Bible says that the stars are too many to number but that God knows them all "even by name". Logically then he would know the names of all his myriads of angels, right? So we have Michael/Jesus, Gabriel and Satan listed from the big heaven phone book. What do JWs or christians in general believe? Did God give them their names when he created them? So did he call Satan 'Satan' meaning Opposer? If he created free will why would he name an angel something bad? Or did he get that name only after he was a naughty boy? What about the other demons?

  I am sorry for how you feel. Sadly it is yet another example of how the Governing Body ruins lives with silly rules. They teach that anyone not a JW is evil and 'worldly' but then as you saw there are people of your 'dreams' out there. I honestly have met more good honest people in the 'world' than I ever did growing up as a JW. Shame. But you know what? You are only 38 - yes I said 'only'. Its not like its too late to do anything! If you give up then the silly old men in JW HQ are just wasting even more years of your precious life. Live it!
