  Why did my old friend do this to our friendship? Please help me understand.

  i am new here because i want to ask a question that my friend couldn't make me understand why.

  i hope your members can.

  my friend of over 16 yrs lives several states and 1,000 miles away from me.

  I am really sorry that you have to deal with affects of this crap religion, but like some have stated this is normal when you start studying as a JW. You aren't they only one either, unless his family are or become witnesses they will be kicked to the curb as well. These are the beginning steps to isolating him from friends and family so he can more easily become emotionally dependant on the Watchtower organization.

  More than ever you need to show him how much you care about him, I would write to him and state that you would never be so cold to a friend. Since you have no choice in his decision you can only wish that if this were to happen that the very least thing he can do for you is to thoroughly research the Witnesses before he commits to baptism.

All you smart Rep's please tell me what's the current $$$ figure on the Iraq war let alone cost of human life and how will it benefit the American people. It's amazing how overnight the financial wizards come out the woodwork. Where were you when our surplus turned into a deficit?

  i recently started dating this guy, tonight he wants to come over and spend the night with me.

  but he absourlutly refuses to make any other plans to see me beyond that!.

  i knew jws that watched cinderella and sleeping beauty ,snow white ,wizard of oz etc so why arnt they allowed to watch the more modern films with "magic" and "wizardery"in them?

  it makes no sense , did anyone ever question that ?

  on a different note i remember it being announced that the full monty was banned (you dont even see anything )lol.

  i am reading the new 2010 yearbook at the moment.

  on page 13 it says www.watchtower.org gets 70,000 hits a day, and that 24 million people visited the web site last year, a 33% increase since 2007. .

  i just wanted to share this story with everyone:.

  last weekend on saturday, my wife found out that field service was not being cancelled due to snow.

  all week prior to saturday, my wife kept saying that she was going to swim classes with my daughter and i and actually swim with my daughter that morning.

  The best way to prove the Watchtower wrong is by being a great supportive loving husband now, the past is the past. They are constantly being told how horrible non- JWs people to prove they are the so called truth. Stay firm to your decision about the WT because the last thing you want is your daughter having to choose between the WT aka Jehovah and the Daddy she love so much. Thats exactly what I going through right now with my children and its a very sad situation. Wish you well
