my fellow brothers and sisters!.

i feel compelled out of gratitude and love to write this little tale, not because i have lost my faith, but because i realize i am not alone, and as heb 10: 24, 25 states: and let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works, 25 not forsaking the gathering of ourselves together, as some have the custom, but encouraging one another, and all the more so as you behold the day drawing near.. i have never felt nor would i ever think that that scripture applied solely to meeting atendance.

the form of true christian love displayed by many here on this board affirms my faith in jehovah and lets me know i am not alone!.

You will find many actual truths here and not all are negative about God here. There are a few, but as adults, we can discern and ignore as we see fit. I lost my wife over my fade, but if you knew her, it was worth it. I hope your situation is not similar, but it is hard to look in the mirror while living a lie. For the record, my wife was very contentious, it was when I saw that my word meant nothing to the local elder body because my 10-12 hours/month and being a MS were not equal to her 18-25/hrs month so she was more believable that I knew this was a congregation tolerating that woman Jezebel. I came to find this attitude and the proud attitude of the scribes and Pharasees was throughout the org.

Is this our fate?

is there fate?

if so, are we fated to be the bad evil slave?.

if the bible prophecies that there will be an 'evil slave that falls away and beats his fellow slaves because the master is delaying' doesn't that mean that someone has to fulfill that prophecy otherwise the prophecy would be false?

About 2 years before I faded (without support from a resource such as this) I too thought I had lost God's favor. I was belittled at the hall, by my wife and by my own personal demons so to speak. My father had died, business was hurting and I had no joy and felt deeply depressed and at times suicidal. Remember that Jehovah makes it rain upon the righteous and the unrighteous. He is not going to bless or curse my harvest based on my service to Him. Do you have children? Reflect on Jesus' words about (paraphrasing here) "What father would hand his child a serpent if he was asked for a fish?" What about Jesus speaking of the two people praying in the synagogue? The proud one saying thank-you for not making me like that sinner over there" and the sinner praying "please forgive me for being a sinner" Which one had more favor in God's eyes? Please do not let a self proclaimed slave whose only job is to feed (but instead prophesies and beats its fellow slaves) make you feel unworthy of God's love

I have changed sides

almost imperceptible over time in some areas.. almost everything i ever believed, i have proven to be false.

almost every bit of my deep seated faith is uprooted by reason.. i am not bitter.

but i am quite reflective these days of how much i have changed.
