Is this our fate?

is there fate?

if so, are we fated to be the bad evil slave?.

if the bible prophecies that there will be an 'evil slave that falls away and beats his fellow slaves because the master is delaying' doesn't that mean that someone has to fulfill that prophecy otherwise the prophecy would be false?

I still believe the Bible is God's word and believe in Him. As mentioned earlier. if there is an evil slave class who beats his fellow man because the master is delaying.....who keeps predicting when they expect the master and then beat their brothers because they didn't agree with their decisions and math? You are being made to feel like the bad one but let this other illustration NOT escape you: When JC asked who really did the will of His Father, was it the one who claimed he would and made a show of it? Or the one who said he wouldn't and then did?

Another story my father directed to me that I do not ever recall seeing in any WT was that of David (hmmmmm - something to do with my moniker perhaps). When he was to face Goliath, did ANYONE expect him to win? When Samuel was to annoint a son of Jesse, was David the first choice? Going back to his battle with Goliath, before he faced the giant, what did he do? He went to a stream and collected -how many? - smooth stones? Not one - but 5. Now did his choosing 5 stones show that he lacked faith in Jehovah? (Probably why the society does not use this line of reasoning). NO! We all know that he trusted in Jehovah - but he wasn't presumptuous to the point of expecting Jehovah to grant him victory on the first shot, so he brought back up. Just because he was victorious on the first shot doesn't mean he wasn't prepared for needing to dig deeper into his satchel.

Just because you have never been made to feel special or worthy does not mean you are automatically the evil slave or part of it. How do you think the Samaritan woman felt at the well talking to the Messiah? How do you think the Scribes and Pharasees viewed her? Who was in a better position to receive everlasting life in the end? Paul, you are conscious of your spiritual need (a blessing of the beattitudes), you do not feel you are "entitled" and THAT my friend, puts you in a better position before our true Judge JC than any self proclaimed spokesperson of God just because they use His name.

Now with that in mind, don't get all cocky and start beating up your brothers, but rather - show them the love Jehovah would want you to and reject the leanings of the white washed graves.

i have expressed in this forum that sometimes im confused as to what will be my ultimate decision.

at this point in my life there is too much at stake.

first, my own emotional estate, ill hate to bitterly regret the years expend taking unnecessary emotional abuse and theocratic bulling.

I like no longer worrying about Armageddon JW style and me being on the outs. I got tired of being a whipping boy on the inside. I love who I am now and have no complaints. Learning what I have just makes life more complete.

i left off on my first posts on this topic with this sentence: one of the big discoveries and the genesis of my semi-apostate ways came one day when i decided to look up some of the books cited in the reasoning from the scriptures book (almost 99% of the works cited by the society were available at the universitys library).

the research that was meant to solidify my faith in the jw religion, actually made the first crack on the foundation of my faith.. .

Common JW Response to Apostates

" or along the same line, but different wording "i know the society isn't perfect, but where else do they teach about jehovah?".

so i got to thinking last night, is there really a fds?

I already know my oldest, a son is, he doesn't talk to me or make any attempt to even though I reach out to him all the time. His mother is really inside his head and the local brothers make a point of including him in activities and reinforcing how evil I am to him (even though, I really am not evil - if you get to know me, I am one of the most peaceful and loving people you would know). My girls however cannot get enough of me. They tell everyone they are going to move in with me when they are older (which would be great because I miss them so much). Over here, you have to be between 12-14 to decide which parent you want to live with. One of them will be 12 shortly, but I do not know if it would be fair to have just the one here and not the other as well.

Years ago, I remember thinking about how Jehovah lost a third of His sons to the Devil and thinking how I could never pick which one of my 3 would leave me or hoping none would. Funny how my leaving the org and his mother caused my son (1/3) to choose to not have anything to do with me. I hope someday he sees and understands why what had to happen did.

One of the things I hear from JWs and even my mother is "If being a JW is so bad, where else would we go?" or along the same line, but different wording "I know the society isn't perfect, but where else do they teach about Jehovah?"

So I got to thinking last night, is there REALLY a FDS? Not one that acts as judge and jury, but one that actually feeds its Masters people like they are supposed to. After knowing what I have found out since being on this site and reading CoC, I know it isn't the fan club that bears God's name. But is there someone or something out there that is providing food at the proper time?

Personally, I do not mind my children at the present time being raised JW by their mother (my psycho ex) for the purpose of getting some Bible instruction and public speaking experience. But as time goes on, I drop points for them to consider and meditate on without earning the "apostate" label giving their mother ammo against me. But realistically, does anyone know of a group (not organization - but group) that is unified, Bible based and not wakko?

Also, not related, but I tried to access www.watchtowercomments.com and got a page saying that it was forbidden. I found their videos on YouTube educational. But does anyone know how to access their site?

i felt motivated to write a mini account on why would someone like me leave the truth.

my father was one of the leaders of the socialist movement party in my country of origin, as such, he was influenced by the marxisms view on religion, karl marx once said religion the opiate of the masses.

Anyone leave the org without the help of the net?

As far as how I did it without the net, I just stopped giving a rat's patootie what anyone and everyone cared. I still had my friends from work (I own the company so there were customers and sales associates as well as other business owners), my friends that I grew up with that had been fading, I joined a few dating sites and the one thing that got me tonnes of friends - I started working as a bouncer at a popular local bar (something I had done against so many JW's wishes when I was 19). That brought me a whole new group of friends. Some younger, some my age and even one fellow fader who was a regular.
