The context of Gal. 1 is false Judaizers (soteriological), not a Christological/doctrine of God issue (though that is applicable also in principle). Paul develops a trinitarian/Deity of Christ view elsewhere.

Is Rev 5:11-14 Worship or Obeisance?
by JCISGOD98 ini asked a jw last week the following question, "is revelation 5:11-14 a worship act to the lamb or an act of obeisance?.
revelation 5:11-14 nwt states and i saw, and i heard a voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders, and the number of them was myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: the lamb that was slaughtered is worthy to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.
because it's an act of worship and it is not allow in your kingdom hall.

Who is McGrath? Is he a conservative Christian, biblical scholar, a liberal pseudo-scholar, a cultist? What does his whole book say in light of his personal views vs one paragraph?
The fact that the same word is used for worship of Jehovah as Jesus is telling. It also can be used of worship of false gods. So, it is the same as theos being used of Jehovah, Jesus, and Satan. Context is king/key. Remember that we do not build a doctrine on one word or verse, but on the cumulative evidence of all relevant verses in context.

The Father and Son are personally distinct, but they are not separate beings (that is Mormonism/polytheism). The Father and Son share the same eternal nature as the triune God.

Run from the WT and run to the real Jesus (Jehovah in the flesh). Why not write something in your words from your heart? These guys should have no power over you and something to the point should suffice. You are an adult making an informed decision and don't have to make excuses or give reasons for it. Don't let them intimidate nor manipulate/threaten you. You answer to God, not them. I have not been a JW, so others who have quit could give you more practical help/template with a WT mindset in mind.

Unrest in the Governing Body
by JWFreak inone of the many questions that i am asked is what are the current gb members like, who are the hardliners and who are more moderate.. because of my previous job, at a european bethel, i had dealings with most of them with the exception of sam herd.. these are my observations of my conversations with them and how others who had dealings with them.. other ex bethelites may have contrary views to mine, but i would be surprised.. i had spent a lot of time with splane, lett and morris.
hardliners.
david splane, without doubt the one who commands the most respect and attention.

If one looks at all the verses in context and does credible word studies with objective Greek resources, my intellectual points (which I have barely started sharing) will stand up to scrutiny. Having passion about truth does not mean my ideas are emotionalism and false.

Judas and Unforgivable Sin
by corpusdei ini'll be the first to admit that i haven't done the research on this one, and i can't remember the answer from my jw days - but there's something bothering me about the scenario of judas and his betrayal of jesus.. considering that the betrayal of jesus by judas was foretold in prophecy, it was essentially set in stone.
it was going to happen, it was an absolute because divine prophecy is correct.
judas had to betray jesus in order to fulfil prophecy.. now, i've always personally believed that a person does not sin by an act that they cannot avoid, but this seems like kind of the motherload of standing on the traintracks.

God knows the heart and minds of men and we do not. However, Paul did judge sound vs false doctrine. We are responsible to understand the true gospel and expose the lie from Scripture. We can say that Muhammad and Joseph Smith are false prophets, the Koran and Book of Mormon are not Scripture, etc. If one assumes relativism vs absolutes, then we can know nothing about anything with certainty. Laziness and ignorance are not excuses, nor is leaving the thinking to WT/GB an excuse. Scripture is meant to be understood. We can demonstrate why a god is wrong and God is correct at Jn. 1:1. In any given verse, we can eliminate many wrong interpretations and narrow it down to one or a few plausible interpretations. We can accept Jn. 3:16 at face value, even as a child. Those who know God and have the illumination of the Spirit do not have the same wishy washy doubts about essential truth. Either Jesus rose from the dead or He did not. We do not have to waffle or speculate. If He did, trust Him. If He did not, reject Christianity. It comes down to yes God or no God. We don't have to have exhaustive knowledge, but there is a minimum amount of understanding that virtually all people of Christian faith accept. WT is a fringe cult and its teachings can be shown to be unbiblical with reasoning from the Scriptures (they proof text, not exegete).

Good grief, how do people fall for this and remain in this? It sounds like WT is clueless about Daniel and Revelation (even thinking that parts of Revelation trumpets relate to WT Conventions in modern history?!).

Does the Bible state that Jesus return would be an invisible return, the WTS. says it was ?

The rapture of the Church will be invisible when He comes for the Church (not limited to 144K), while the Second Coming/Revelation when He comes back with the Church to rule and reign will be visible (7 years later). It seems to me Russell expected a visible return on a few dates, but when it did not happen, he shifted to an invisible loop hole to save face. This is one of many false WT teachings based on lack of Greek understanding and defective preconceptions. In the same manner that Jesus was seen going into the clouds, so He will come back, like lightning (Acts 1; Mt. 24-25; Rev. 1). Every eye will see Him, but Russell had to say it is seeing Him with spiritual eyes?! 1914 is a WT date, not a biblical date (note the number of times they have changed understanding on 1914 (the generation teaching has changed about 15x and will need to change again; this is not new light or Jehovah's direction; it is the blind leading the blind).
