Realizing that leaving the Watchtower is not the same as leaving God was a breakthrough for me.
After that, I no longer cared about the hours in service or attending each boring meeting or the demands to "put on a show" for the Circuit Overseer's visit... The only thing that mattered was that I felt better because of not being part of a false organization that is too proud to accept and rectify its own errors.

I was wondering if they would ever consider giving the many pioneers who have part time jobs this type health coverage.
Seems like that is the least they could do for them. The WTS is always preaching how in their organization there are no "class distinctions."

since the entire scriptural, historical, and medical basis for the ban on blood is baseless and incoherent, ultimately it rests on the credibility of the wt as god's organization.. of course we can't rely on that either, because the history of the wt includes a ban on organ transplants and vaccinations.
today they allow those treatments, and therefore by their own admission they incorrectly placed restrictions on them in the past.
unquestionably people died adhering to those restrictions.
I agree with Forscher.
The Jewish religious leaders are a prime example of those who were members of "God's chosen ones." However, their many rules were condemned by Jesus himself as "teachings of men."
It was by means of a Tribunal by these Jewish Teachers and "self-proclaimed sons of God" ---antitypical Judicial Meeting---that Jesus was judged unfavorably and in fact accused of blasphemy.
We know how Jesus felt about these Jewish teachers who imposed a heavy load on the Jews who were trying to do what was right.
So, there is no proof that any "chosen or appointed" human ever was deserving of obedience when that would clearly contradict Biblical principles.

I was thinking this week that one reason the WTS uses the OT so much is that their audience is made up of the non-anointed almost exclusively. If they used NT scriptures too much, these great crowd (GC) or other sheep (OS) members of the rank and file might start thinking that those words were written to them rather than just to those who hope to rule in heaven with Christ.
Blondie, I noticed this distinction too.
The parallels just don't make sense to me. Is the WT interpretation that Christendom = Israel = Other Sheep (or Great Crowd)????
And Why are there "two hopes" a heavenly and an earthly? When in fact The Scriptures say in essence that "there is neither Jew nor Gentile, but in every nation the one who does the will of God is acceptable to him."
