i was in the grocery store and met a cousin i haven't seen in years.
the first thing he asked me was, do you go to the meeting now?
he mentioned how armageddon was so close.
thought jesus was going to rule as king straght away
Exactly PMJ:
The apostles thought not taught something. Additionally, they never claimed their thinking was FROM God and can you prove that they shunned anyone who did NOT agree with their speculative thinking?

newbies and the wt molestation problem
stone hearted jw's who dismiss the child molestation problem within the watchtower, such as scholar, actually do us a favor.
once our blood pressure returns to normal we can reflect rationally not only on how badly victims of molestation have been treated inside the org but also upon how disgustingly insensitive the watchtower has been to public outcry.
Based of the court ruling then, on the local level, elders and MS can be sued when they follow the Watchtower procedures (two witness rule) for MIShandling cases of child abuse.
That should make them consider carefully if they value more their responsibility to the victim or to the Watchtower. If it is to Watchtower then they have a lot to lose not to mention a day in court.

anything you'd like to say???
?
The Watchtower is all about getting unpaid volunteers to further their kingdom real estate purchases and increase the "donations" for their literature.
*They registered as a cultural organization in Mexico and as such prevented prayers and singing during the meetings. Was that to advance their religious practice or to acquire property?
*They are intent on making money. Think "food ticket" for assembly food. Did they pay taxes on the food you had to pay "food tickets" to buy? NO
*When they used to charge for the magazines, did they pay taxes on that revenue? NO
Leaving this corrupt organization is clearly not the same as leaving God--- as they would like you to think.

.
i'm starting to think this place is full of.......
apostates!!!
The reglious leaders among God's chosen nation of Israel were said to be "offspring of vipers" (Mt. 23.33) by Jesus. He also called them hypocrites. Does that make Jesus an Apostate?

i found this intresting the sun god noted above, now notice the 1963 resolution not to join the un.
"that we will continue to look to him as the great sun from whom comes our enlightenment, guidance and healing.
we will glorify him and not join idolatrous men in looking to bright-shining ones of mankind as the source of mental and spiritual enlightenment and of worldly prosperity".
Kabbalistic, Masonic, Skull and Bones
Can we get a clear definition of these terms for new ones who may not know their significance and their relevance to the Watchtower Society we know today?

i thought i would share this with you as i am still a little bit stunned to say the least.
my mother who is a longstanding jw came to stay over the christmas period as my uncle had past away and she wanted to be more local to the family, that way she could attend the funeral and provide some support to her remaining brothers and sisters.
she lives a considerable distance away from me at this moment in time.
The way you approached your mother was excellent and she was obviously receptive to your explanations and pointed questions.
Great news, I'm happy for you!

it has been well documented that some extreme cults have be able to isolate their memebers and then have them kill themselves because of their beliefs.. the dubs has always looked at these cults as being mislead by the devil and the dubs would never do anything as drastic a mass suicide.. however as a child i remember thinking that at the begining of the great tribulation, the fds might tell us to run, or congragate somewhere isolated and we would actually leave with on the clothes on our back, and anyone not heeding this warning would be killed at the battle of "armefogotten".. if the fds could get the dubs to leave their home and familes, bascially their lives behind, isn't it just a small stretch to think that a desicion to end ones earthly life could be the next request?.
also remember that particularily the jim jones event, some members had to be physically forced to drink the kool - aid while others freely drank.. does anyone else think that because of the power that the wbts has over it memebers, if they decided to do something drastic, many of the members would just blindly comply?
I have personally heard in disbelief a Jehovah's Witness man (who claimed to be of the "anointed") yell to an eight-year old little girl whom he suspected was participating in holiday celebrations with her non-JW Grandmother:
"YOU ARE GOING TO BE DESTROYED AT ARMAGEDDON!"
This immediately brought a look of fear and tears to this little girl's face. That is one event I will never forget. It led me to seriously begin considering the Watchtower religion as a sick cult to allow this type of emotional abuse.
