  Your formulaic and impersonal letter did not respond directly to anything I wrote and made me feel as though you are detached and impersonal in your approach to my concerns. I feel abandoned, spoken of as a third person hypothetical, not nurtured like a mother cares for its child

  That is very powerful.

  You are right they should have admitted their "error" in the Watchtower magazine for all to see--- if in fact it was just an error and humbly asked the rank and file to forgive them.

  They won't do that because the Governing Body is all about ego trips and "Lording It Over" others.

  I don't understand why a response to your letter would to be sent to the BOE and not to you. What are they hiding?

  The tone of the letter is "we know we've been caught but we can explain." Then they want to shove a WT article at you like that is supposed to absolve them somehow.

  This is supposed to be a church for the purpose of "religious activity."

  Why would a church need a "media contact" or a "legal department" --- only if their public relations and their public image are more important than the preaching work.

  Why was he disfellowshiped?

  Blood transfusions, however, are not the result of the killing of either animals or humans, the blood coming from a living donor who continues to live. Rather than representing someone’s death, such blood is employed for the very opposite purpose, namely the preservation of life. This is said, not to pronounce blood transfusions as a desirable practice or as having unquestionable propriety, but simply to show that there is no real connnection or true parallel between the Genesis mandate regarding slaying and then eating the blood of the animal slain, and the use of blood in a transfusion. The parallel is simply not there.

  Early start.

  this morning at about 7:15 a pair of dubs came in and ordered one drip coffee to go and before she left she offered me the magazines [awake on top of the wt, just like i used to do].

  i politely refused-not interested/i've got customers, but inwardly i thought how rude to just flop those things out on my counter.

  at least her day's hours started early... maybe she won't have to go out on christmas.

  I remember a group of "pioneer" women who used 

  to browse and buy stuff at yard sales while they were in the "door

  to door" on Saturday mornings. I asked them once --shouldn't you stop counting time?"

  They both answered "Not if we're holding the magainzes for people to see 

  while we're shopping"

  if anyone is familiar with health insurance claims, could you elaborate on the cost difference between a patient being admistered whole blood during surgery as opposed to blood expanders?

  are health insurance companies hesitant to pay for non blood products?

  is this the reason doctors don't use them as standard practice?.

  Why would medical opinions be given by the WTS advocating a certain procedure if they can't help to defray the costs of it?

  Naysayers and the "Big News"

  many of us don't see the legal ramifications of this info., or even the importance of changing the blood doctrine.

  915 people died in jonestown.

  it's highly likely that as many, many of them children die per year as a result of this policy.. now, many have also lost heart about other cases, because there has'nt been much media attention lately, plus there was a post, or a message from bethel that stated that the wts won all the child molestation cases.
