Soldier 77 - Bring it on. I have come second to that cult all the time we were in and also since I left. My husband says he has no choice. In my view he always has a choice. I am sick of them, their influence and him being a nodding dog. I may tell him before the next meeting, or I may just leave his best buddy elder mate to tell him. I haven't really decided yet.

Thanks all, and yes Ding, I know they have no hold on me and I refuse to meet with them. I said what I had to say in my letter. If they ask to meet I will tell them to read my letter again and save themselves some petrol. I haven't told my hubby yet. Mad mad mad with him about putting them first as per, so he will be the last to know.

Sabastious I know what you mean, but I am not going back or being persuaded. They have a formal letter, I have told everyone I am not a witness anymore and for me that means the end. Let your yes mean yes and all that!!

but depression seems rampant, i can name 7-10 people right now on antidepreswsant drugs.
You are absolutely right. I was depressed all the time I was a witness. I didn't realise it until I left and since I left 16 months ago my depression has lifted and I feel so much better. No surprise though - what a depressing existence it is - I felt like a hamster in a wheel - on the go constantly but going nowhere.

I couldn't face the humiliation of the shunning. But I got to a stage of needing closure, and closure I have. The door is shut and I am glad.
