Does anyone have Paul Hoeffel (UN letter) scan ?

i need a good quality scan of dpi reprentative answer inquiries about wts associated with them and agreed to support un charter.

actually zev has one, but when print out it's only 70% size and quality is not as good as you watch on pc screen.. thx in advance,.

cyberguy. I don't know what else to say really. After twelve months research on the WT/UN we gave all copies of our documentation to our local elders. Two elders visited us and told us that they had sent the documents to the Society in Sydney and the reply that they had got satisfied them. We asked to see the letter but was refused. Next thing an announcement was made at our local KH to say that we had disassociated ourselves. This was untrue. Two weeks later the same announcement was made at another KH. In the same period of time two elders made calls in person to our return visits( at least the ones they knew about) now see above first post. That's it folks!!

After giving the 'elders' all copies regarding WT?UN we were disassociated by them and this was announced in two congregations. They then proceeded to go around all our return visits and 'told them' they must not talk to us. Needless to say some of the replies they got I cannot and will not repeat.These folks kindly told us at once when they had been visited. None of them knew each other to the best of my knowledge. So yes I believe you, they appear to be going mad!!!

life is tough regardless of whether we were ever jws.

my own life has taken some twists and turns i did not expect or like ... and i have to focus all my attention now on getting my badly needed open-heart surgery or face death in about six months ... so in the next couple of days, i am making the last of three posts for a while ... then all my efforts will be aimed at getting better, and facing some issues in my life and making the best decisions possible for me and my family.

i decided to limit many activities because i tend to do too much and neglect some things that i should not ... this is not a good-bye post, but more of a long vacation post.

Change of WT policy?

All anyone has to do out there is object to the affliation of the WT and the UN and then you will be public enemy No.3. We are Number 1 and 2.

ok guys i have digested the info re - united nations involvement but i need to know where to source the information that the requirements for becoming an ngo have changed recently.

are you sure they have always been the same ie - to support un principals etc..???.

I have written to the Chief Librarian of the U.N. and she told us that the critieria for the N.G.O's have not changed to her knowledge from 1985 when she first became the Chief until the present time. However, since September 11th the rules for obtaining a libary card changed for obvious reasons.

Looking for a scripture for CO/Elders visit...

can anyone help me please, i think i remember a scripture something like; 'if a man tells you to do something and doesn't do it himself, don't listen to him'.

i cannot find it, i thought it was in proverbs(nwt) but maybe i imagined it.. anyway, it is possible that the co might visit me late december, i have made a few informal requests, and i'd like to be massively prepared.i have a whole array of un documents/info ready.. if you can help with the above scripture i'd be thrilled.. ta, meaty.

Wasting your time . My husband and I did all the documentations, scriptures etc etc the outcome being an announcement to the congregation that we had disassociated ourselves. Although untrue, nevertheless this happened on the 23/11/2002. We wanted stay in the Organization for the time being as this would give us more access to other JW's. Like the ten green bottles everyone except one has left us. So you will be forced into a decision one way or the other.

as you have admitted, the watch tower bible & tract society did join the united nations as a non government organization in 1992 ending in 2001, and according to the following watch tower this means that by their own actions they disassociated them selves from jehovahs organization which means that we must treat them like disfellowshiped ones.

in other words they are no longer jehovahs witnesses or have any right to that name.

Since my thread, the following has happened.Last week my husband and I were disassociated by the elders for the following reasons.They informed us that they were satisfied by the explanation given to them by WTS.,. So if the elders say it is alright,then you have to say it is alright., otherwise the above punishment happens. The U.N. has personally written to us with official documentation. To date no written confirmation from anyone from the WTS has been offered to us or received by us and only by pure chance did we know about this announcement. So much for love, mercy or even justice. To be a JW today you have to surrrender your concience and agree to remain under control, fear and suppression, not only from the Organization but from each other( and you know full well what I mean by that)

Because the G.B. involved themselves with the U.N. the rank and file have to be told as we also are involved. After all according to them they get their instructions from God and must inform us of God's wishes.I am not pleased with being a part of the UN for ten years. What else, is the question, that have have done and we have to wait for the media to tell us. Somehow Yadirf I think that you are just a stirrer, and I would love to send you a big wooden spoon. How did you know that I am 'little'.The truth is what you told, I have indeed a very little brain which has meant for a long time I allowed myself to be completely 'conned'.
