  "The irony is that the Witnesses believe the Mosaic law was cancelled out when Jesus came, but they stubbornly insist on enforcing the "two-witness rule." - not only that but the WT always takes scriptures and broadens them out to principles or their own complex interpretations. The GB only care about their OWN image and OWN credibility. THey can't show any scriptures where YHWH wanted to cover up anything bad those he allowed to be in power did, David, Saul, Solomon, etc, he had no problem having dirty laundry aired out.

  The two witness rule, if taken on principle, would be applied like this......"in cases such as suspected child abuse, they should be handed over to the authorities who do extensive investigations, examinations, etc, and if there investigation turns of up evidence supporting the claims of the one witness, they count as the 2nd witness" etc.

  But they cherry pick what they want to follow and not. They ignore one of the 10 commandments, the sabbath.

  If it was a case of 7 elders learning TTATT, surprised since they were the majority they wouldn't all go on stage to say something prior to that happening. Another thing is they could have been 'bad' elders, covered something up without the WT clearance.

  another thread related but the title only says, "china is #1", which can mean anything and hence many may not view it who would be intersted in the world power shift.. for the first time since 1945 usa is #2 for economy.

  Nice post fulltime. Although I knew about the railroads expanding I didn't even consider it a way China could really take off with high speed trains, etc for transporting goods. Europe is way ahead of USA in that regards. In the long term these things may end up having the USA falling way behind the game....I wonder what life will be like here come 20 years.

  it seems it is possible to get some financial statements from some countries.. it's interesting seeing how they must report in what way they are a charity.

  many spin doctoring and word games to make it appear they are doing charitable things.. also interesting was how the trustees were consenting to reducing the reserves and sending them to another country, probably wt usa it looks like.

  Also it was changed to let the trustees get the same benefits as any full time member. (meaning if they were an elder, working, etc, just being a trustee for an annual meeting, etc, they get free housing and all the perks for having the title)

  I just noticed another interesting thing..... any members of the board of directors MUST be an elder and if they are removed or leave being an elder, they are removed from board of directors for any of these other companies that are WT related, like IBSA. The WT recently made a change that elders are not longer appointed by elders in the KH but it's all appointed by the CO or based on WT/Bethel right?? This means that WT/GB have full control of all the companies. If elders were appointed by other elders, etc, and they were on the board and they felt WT was getting very shady, they can just remove them as elders, they are kicked off board of directors with these recent changes.

  What about the talk listed in the program for either circuit or district assembly last year entitled, "you must hate your enemy" (probably about anybody opposed and not part of the borg)

  Or in print in the 80's WT about how apostates (those who leave or dont believe in the GB) should be stoned to death but the laws do not allow that.

  The hate is there, there is no violence because they are taught to hate but be peaceful.

  Would you want people you don't hate to be killed by God?

  " I stopped ordering Chinese Take Out Food just to protest...." - even American chinese food in many places has become a 'made in china' quality. I used to love general tso's chicken and I think each year it becomes less chicken and more breading. It's not a piece of chicken with a layer of breading but each piece is like a marble sized piece of meat with incased in a huge glob of breading as if nobody would notice they are eating more breading then actual chicken (if it is chicken lol).
