:O :O :O :O :O :O I can't believe what I just realized! Here is a clear cut case of WAR in the bible.....I 'think'.

In Ex you have Jehovah sending his angel to guide and lead Israel. So it's TWO ENTITIES THERE. Stephen and Amos, also list TWO entities, but they don't call them Jehovah and or his angel. Are they referring to instances in which they 'assumed' it was Jehovah and/or his son, and they are still in the scriptures, OR is that old stuff which was cleared out?

The reason I ask that too, because of many of the words Jesus said.

I was NOT gonna get deeper with this, but will a little more. Just to show that there is more investigation and possibilities to consider.

The Ark of the Covenant - does her book explain WHO is the one between them, and WHO the 2 cherubs represent? WHO are the 2 cherubs? I say this, because one of them might be the Yahweh of the old testament, maybe.....or at certain instances.

Exodus 32:34) And now, come, lead the people to where I have spoken to you of. Look! My angel will go ahead of you, and on the day of my bringing punishment I shall certainly bring punishment upon them for their sin.” - (Who is the angel, and who was speaking to Moses in this instance)

Jer 7:16 - “And as for you, do not pray in behalf of this people, neither raise in their behalf an entreating cry or a prayer nor beseech me, for I shall not be listening to you. 17 Are you not seeing what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 18 The sons are picking up sticks of wood, and the fathers are lighting the fire, and the wives are kneading flour dough in order to make sacrificial cakes to the ‘queen of the heavens’; and there is a pouring out of drink offerings to other gods for the purpose of offending me. 19 ‘Is it I whom they are offending?’ is the utterance of Jehovah. ‘Is it not they themselves, for the purpose of shame to their faces?’

But look what the Israelites said in response.......

Jer 44:16 - As regards the word that you have spoken to us in the name of Jehovah, we are not listening to you; 17 but we shall positively do every word that has gone forth from our mouth, in order to make sacrificial smoke to the ‘queen of the heavens’ and to pour out to her drink offerings, just as we ourselves and our forefathers, our kings and our princes did in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, when we used to be satisfied with bread and to be well off, and we did not see any calamity at all. 18 And from the time that we ceased to make sacrificial smoke to the ‘queen of the heavens’ and pour out drink offerings to her we have lacked everything, and by the sword and by the famine we have come to our finish.
- Why are they saying that??? Also keep in mind I believe all the queen of heavens mentions are only in book of Jeremiah........BUT look what Stephen says in the NT,

Acts 7:42/43 - (Acts 7:42-43) So God turned and handed them over to render sacred service to the army of heaven, just as it is written in the book of the prophets, ‘It was not to me that YOU offered victims and sacrifices for forty years in the wilderness, was it, O house of Israel? 43 But it was the tent of Mo′loch and the star of the god Re′phan that YOU took up, the figures which YOU made to worship them. Consequently I will deport YOU beyond Babylon.’

Amos 5:25 - 25 Was it sacrifices and gift offerings that YOU people brought near to me in the wilderness for forty years, O house of Israel? 26 And YOU will certainly carry Sak′kuth YOUR king and Kai′wan, YOUR images, the star of YOUR god, whom YOU made for yourselves.

PSALMS 2:12 - 12 Kiss the son, that He may not become incensed
And YOU may not perish [from] the way,
For his anger flares up easily.
Happy are all those taking refuge in him.

Duet 31:7 7 And Moses proceeded to call Joshua and say to him before the eyes of all Israel: “Be courageous and strong, because you—you will bring this people into the land that Jehovah swore to their forefathers to give to them, and you yourself will give it to them as an inheritance. 8 And Jehovah is the one marching before you.

Duet 32:7 - Remember the days of old,
CONSIDER the years back from generation to generation;
Ask your father, and he can tell you;
Your old men, and they can say it to you.
8 When the Most High gave the nations an inheritance,
When he parted the sons of Adam from one another,
He proceeded to fix the boundary of the peoples
With regard for the number of the sons of Israel.

There is more I want to show for consideration, but I am not permitted right now. Just realize, if you want the true answer, you may have to seek deeper, don't make quick assumptions.

I gotta read but I don't think she got it all down right. It's a step to uncovering the truth at the least. I won't go into details cause I'm still figuring it out, but she is missing something very vital or got something really mixed up.

I'll first 'partially' say that I've 'partially' come to the same conclusion too. If you read the OT in Hebrew interlinear, it should be very obvious there is some weird stuff and translations problems going on.

Why are anniversaries okay?

i'm sure this topic has been brought up before.

i was at a jw graduation party yesterday and realized "if birthday parties are not okay because they supposedly bring undue attention to an individual, why are graduation parties and wedding anniversaries okay?

" they both glorify individuals and put them on a pedestal.

Wedding cakes, wedding dress, wedding ring, all pagan too. That got me, that fact they KNOW some of those thigns are pagan, yet allowed but others are not.

i can say this much, the primary doctrine and beliefs from reading all their letters, seem to be not followed or understood in 'any' christian religion i know of so far.

wt was a step in the right direction, and 'might' have got there, but by the end of russell's time, all progression ceased, and went backwards, as you willsee below......... .

A few notes of those who TEACH diff doctrine, the result of it, and WHAT THEY WERE DOING.

1 Tim 1:3-11 - so I do now, that you might command certain ones not to teach different doctrine, 4 nor to pay attention to false stories and to genealogies, which end up in nothing, but which furnish questions for research rather than a dispensing of anything by God in connection with faith. 5 Really the objective of this mandate is love out of a clean heart and out of a good conscience and out of faith without hypocrisy. 6 By deviating from these things certain ones have been turned aside into idle talk, 7 wanting to be teachers of law, but not perceiving either the things they are saying or the things about which they are making strong assertions.
8 Now we know that the Law is fine provided one handles it lawfully 9 in the knowledge of this fact, that law is promulgated, not for a righteous man, but for persons lawless and unruly, ungodly and sinners, lacking loving-kindness, and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers, 10 fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching 11 according to the glorious good news of the happy God, with which I was entrusted.

1 Tim 6:2 - Keep on teaching these things and giving these exhortations. 3 If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, 4 he is puffed up [with pride], not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, 5 violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth, thinking that godly devotion is a means of gain. 6 To be sure, it is a means of great gain, [this] godly devotion along with self-sufficiency. 7 For we have brought nothing into the world, and neither can we carry anything out. 8 So, having sustenance and covering, we shall be content with these things.

There is no question most of our feelings toward GB are because of them trying to be 'teachers of law', and going beyond the scriptures, making claims nobody can understand the bible except them, not even other annointed. But since we are OUT of it, since we have our freedom to serve God and freedom to LEARN the truth, occassional self reflection on our priorities. (I understand those who became atheists won't care, but those who are not, hope the bad feelings don't fully consume and prevent from ever doing the good things, the real doctrine of love, goodness, clean conscience, and trying to seek the true knowledge.)

chickpea - so basically, those who can't get loans and super poor countries, that money is a loan which is loaned out to people in those countries to get a buisness and living started, and in essence, 'interest free loan' ? That's good too, in line w/ the scriptures, and allows you to help even more. I'm gonna check it out.
