Nauseating JW.org section for small children - CUTOUTS? Really?
by BluePill2 ini am not hot linking to jw borg, but they have a whole section for obviously very small children (become j's friend, with a whole array of caleb-related stuff).
i have actually never visited the site, today was the first time, because i wanted to check a technical information about their websites architecture and came across this sh*t!.
the way they are targeting small kids is nauseating me (i have a 5 year old, still in with her mother).

That is what they are taught, that's in the convention this year. If she stays in, all of those things are 2nd place to the religion.

Jonza - it sounds to me like she is lonely and desperate (not meaning she doesn't love you, read on) because many JW's can't find the right person for them in the religion, they either get unhappily married or single until they crack. It sounds like she's concluced to herself instead of being single and going on, she will find a mate outside of the JW faith, get disfellowshipped, then get reinstated and bring him in.
If she stays in the religion it will be very hard on you. They'll also be arguments on holidays, etc. You may have agreed to do them and she won't but if you both have kids she'll definitely not want hers celebrating holidays.
If she actually leaves the religion, doesn't believe it anymore, becomes just a christian then things can turn out fine. Sounds like she is looking outside of the religion because nobody right for her there and she is going to get punished but her ultimate plan is finding a mate and bringing them into the religion.
If you look up the "district convention" for this year, you'll see how they are being taught to put "Family, Marriage, Education, Security, Finances, Health, Etc as SECOND PLACE to the religion". If she stays in, once you are married, everything becomes 2nd place to the religion.

What's up with that video? It looked like there was a forbidden congregation picnic going on, 'competitive sports', and if they had time to go canoing, hiking, and playing sports, shouldn't they instead have been out in field service????

Need to find those Km or Wt articles encouraging all to read the old publications!
by stuckinarut2 ini have been dropping comments to a few re some classic old beliefs and teachings etc... and when asked "where did you read that, or how come you are saying such and such?
" i have replied "well, you remember we have often been told to study and research our old 'theocratic history' and 'old gems' of material?....
now though i have been challenged to prove where this has been printed!.

marking, also about that "Watchtower , February 15, 2013 quote - when they talk about examining our history, they mean going over the recent material about our history vs our history itself. They need to filter and whitewash the history so that it's acceptable to go over.

zedisdead - I disagree, while the insurance companies and agents would be looking for new work, the $300+ a month that all who have insurance are paying would instead be disposible income for other things. It would actually stimulate the economy as all of that money would be going all over the place to many businesses, etc, instead of just going to the insurance companies and employees.
