there's a lot of rumble in the grapevine of jws that there difinitely is a new bible that 'mother' is releasing at the upcoming agm.. it would be awesome if we could get a sneak peek at some of the changes.
sure would be nice if some of the lurkers on this forum who work at bethel in the writing, shipping or printing department could help us out.
this would really irritate 'mom'!.
I would like to see both the old and new versions put into a word processor to identify every change.
To do this is would be good to get the text from JW.org and put it into a txt file.
Then when the new Bible is released go back to the site and download the update.
Change this to a txt and then filter both files to compare.
originally due this monday, the parties have stipulated to an extension of 30 days to july 31. .

I second that! If it does continue I hope the WTS falls flat on their nasty big brother face and has to shelve out the big bucks.
When they finally lose I hope some major TV network news program does an indepth expose' and puts the WTS dirty laundry on the air.
If this encourages further lawsuits against the WTS so much the better!
so a good friend of mine who had an issue with the fact that charles taze russell was given the understanding of 2520 and 1914 etc.. and was not of the faithful slave.
he asked how could it be possible that jah would bless someone who was not part of his organization to have such understanding after reading the july 15 wt.
he read me the letter as a way to help me understand and accept the watchtower.
I've seen others reframe issues and stay on message but the Witnesses seem to excel at it.
Yup! I agree, just like the Pharisees of old they are the masters of hypocrisy and double-talk.
How do you know the WTS is reframing issues and twisting the Bible to suit their agenda?

Send them a chapter of CoC with a link to get the eBook from Amazon.
Choose a chapter that really helped you open your eyes to TTATT.
For me it was the chapter on Mexico vs. Malawi and the un-Christian double standards that "mother" Watchtower's hierarchy has which ruin peoples' lives.

had a brief chat with an elder from a distant congregation today: long story short - he has spoken to "someone" at london branch regarding the 'famine' of bibles within the org, and was told by this "someone" to just wait until nearer the end of this year.. he said it sounds like we're going to get an announcement via the annual meeting!!.
i said that it was strange that two world wars, the spanish 'flu, the wall street crash & the great depression couldn't stop the society producing bibles, so something major must be causing it now.. does anyone have any more info on the new york court action against the wtbts and the nwt writing committee?.

I had a chance to thumb through it and the only content change I noticed was the addition of appendices that had only previously appeared in Reference Bible and KIT editions.
The cover was of soft grey leather and the edges were gilt in silver.

Why is it that when there's New Light(tm) in the JW religion that it seems to be "let out" at a yearly Business Meeting of a Publishing and Real Estate Holdings Corporation???
Because the latter runs the former and the religion is nothing without the corporation. Yup it's a cult!
From what I've seen of the first batch of these new Bibles is that they are a bit fatter than the current regular NWT Bibles because they include the appendixes that were included in the NWT Reference Bible edition. Same badly worded translation, new packaging!

Exactly, I wouldn't have put it beyond Rutherford to add his name.
He seems to have had no shame greedily grabbing for high position in the WTS.

if you google 'vatican and aliens', you will find a number of references to vatican officials making positive remarks about extraterrestrials - including a few who outrightly assert that they exist.
in addition, the vatican is interested in observatory time used for locating earth-like planets.. in summary, it looks like they wish to be prepared, come what may.
So if ET's did show up, the WTBTS would not take it well, especially since they have predicted the opposite.
And it failing to come up with a reasonable explanation the WTS would probably make this become another surreptitious flip-flop by the WTS.
