is the teapot throwing its spout up and about to shout "sieg heil" ?
I know, right! I think it's a Satanic conspiracy between tea totteling neo-nazis and JCPenny's!
jcpenney removes a billboard after complaints that the tea kettle featured resembled adolf hitler.
does it look like hitler to you?
does it offend you?

it was a simple question: isn't jesus my "mediator" if i put faith in him like the scriptures say?
the research to that answer, from the w79 4/1 p. 31, was mind blowing.
how dare they deny me a belief firmly stated in the scriptures?

How dare they deny me a belief firmly stated in the Scriptures? And that's what started me questioning everything and reading CoC and ISoCF, after that the scales were gone from my eyes for good.
What research helped you see the WT for the false prophet it really is?
Was it researching 607BC like Carl Olof Jonsson?
Or was it that Jesus couldn't have been crucified on a stake but on a cross due to the mark of the "nails"?
What research helped you to awaken?
the two-finger-i'm-so-holy hand gesture is an old mannerism of catholic and orthodox hierarchs.
it's all over their catholic paintings and scultures, and greek orthodox icons of, jesus too.
................................... here then, the holy gesture is adapted for use even by our very own gb members who are trying to appear most holy themselves.. .
Whatta "two" timing Adventist minister, that one!
I guess he just wanted to cover all three bases before it was time for him (*wink*) to go "home."

ya ever think that they're just ordering two?
Hah!
Make mine a double'
Mine too!
But seriously, these guys are way flamboyant, compared with the almost never seen GB 1.0. The holier than thou attitude is too much for me, and I hope it'll help some wake up to their scamming wiles.
how great to see amiii stating @ tv.jw.org that the watchtower society was the first institution addressing child abuse in a time others were naive about this typical behavior of gay's.
the 1982 awake magazine is such a spectacular example about adressing the problem that they decided to erase it from their digital archives.
will amiii tell the judge that "watchtower" has not any control about him?
it's not my statement, it's AMIII that make this point. I wrote a summary of what he declares. That's just what this posting is about
Ah, I got you now, I understand. Thanks for clarifying that Gorbatchov.
Everything they say is either totally false and made up or sneaky half truths. Every time I hear a talk or read a paragraph from one of their publications it gives me a sickening feeling inside. I'm so disgusted with the WT and its hierarchs.

And here is how the new F* Pope made the two finger hand gesture.
You gotta love that guy even if he's the Pope.

*(ehem, the F is for Francis).
this is the first year i have not been at a summer assembly.. the friends here locally just got back from the regional in our area.. they mostly took their vacation time from work to attend.. while they were gone i had an epiphany...... why is it that the rank and file take their summer vacation time to attend an assembly (we have all heard this hammered in from the platform) whereas the governing body attend as part of their "work".. it cant be as simple as "well, they are giving talks" because there are many brothers that give talks from the rank and file also who have used up precious vacation hours and drug their entire family there plus give their parts.. or what about other brothers and sisters who volunteer and clean at the assembly.
on vacation.. so the pubs.
travel at their own expense, pay for their own rooms and food, and give parts and it is supposed to be viewed as their vacation.. the gb and c.o.s travel to the same assembly and stay in provided for accomadations, give a talk or two and they are "working".. what is that about?.
Has this dawned on the rest of you?
It probably has.
But for me I never gave it any thought until this moment.
Actually I hadn't thought about it that way, and it does make a lot of sense that it's definitely an Animal Farm situation where some are more equal than others.
In my twenties and early thirties as an overworked MS, and slaving daily to make ends meet, married and with a kid, whenever assemblies came up we'd use credit cards for hotels, meals, fuel, knowing that it would take us months of catching up to get them paid.
Not only for "District" Conventions, but also for Assemblies which the two hour drive was tough if you were an attendant of worked in the cleaning dept, as a cleaning Captain, which as most MS's find out is a privilege without much privilege.
It was always tough to get weekends when one of the pluses of being a JW worker is that you were willing to work part of the day on weekends and of course holidays. So asking your boss was always quite a discussion.
Then when you came home on Saturday night, totally spent, sometimes stressed out because there was always stress during the whole experience if you volunteered in any way, and thought about getting up early on Monday to go to work it felt like an enormous test of will not to call in sick or dredge through the day half exhausted.
Now my better judgement says take it easy don't volunteer for anything, be nice to everyone around and feel sorry for them. What's more, the venue we go to is only an hour away not two and a half, so it's a pleasant trip in the morning and afternoon if we take the back roads, shorter if we go the highway.
We used to volunteer to make food for lunch at the conventions and assemblies. Now we bring our own or go out. Things have definitely changed and today's Witnesses do have it easier, but it's still not as easy as what the hierarchs experience, not spending a dime and getting all their needs looked after, spending the convention in cushy administration rooms and best comfy hotels in the evening. What a racket!
yo, sup yall, dem corner gangstas got nothing on the jw's bro!.
take a look at these bro's all set to start a study in da hood, motha!
(uhhh, motha watchtower that is.

Not photoshopped neitha!
a while ago i transcribed a video interview with rabbi michael berenbaum from the university of judaism.
the interview concerns jehovah's witnesses during the second world war in the german concentration camp system.
berenbaum is a historian and specifically researches jehovah's witnesses during the shoah and also the idea of martyrdom.
@Saintbertholdt
That was an excellent article. Thanks so much for all the work in transcribing it and posting it here.
I want us to look at that moment and understand that the person before us is acting out of an integrity that is uniquely their own, and that's a part of their tradition...and the integrity of that tradition was tested by fire.
I agree that it is an individual demonstration of integrity and it took some bold cojones for JW's in nazi Germany to do as they did. But remembering the shenanigans that Rutherford was up to at the beginning of the nazi take over German society, with his apologetic letter to Hitler and his anti-Semitic denouncing of Jews--I have a hard time believing that JW actions in Germany reflected anything from Rutherford's leadership.
German JW's called themselves Bible Students, and they wore the purple triangles because of their dedication to God and Christ. These Ernste Bibelforscher, or Earnest Bible Students as they were called in Germany suffered because of their Christian integrity not because Rutherford's rebranding of Bible Students as Jehovah's Witnesses.
Meanwhile their "Generalissimo" was enjoying a lavish lifestyle in mansion in San Diego, with his own young nutritionist nurse and two 12 cylinder Cadillacs in the garage and plenty of expensive scotch to survive the California heat. In fact Rutherford thought little of the Ernste Bibelforscher representatives in the WT Branch in Germany and blamed them for his own failures and political indiscretions.
Today's JW's have indeed a heritage of integrity keeping, but this integrity is as individual as the WT seems to imply whenever they could be sued for an individual JW's actions.
If those still under WT control would understand the little regard the WT has for them, with their fake gushing of "love towards the friends," and how they've been denied the personal mediation of Christ on their spiritual behalf, the vast majority of JW's would, stop donating and try to make a quick exit from this disdainful cult.
The WT religion doesn't deserve any credit for the courage and integrity of those Ernste Bibelforscher, or Earnest Bible Students who suffered in nazi Germany.
the awake oct 2015 is now up on jw org.. one article talks about young adults returning to their parents home and tries to give them some advice.. one of the highlighted comments are these magical words.
<<remember, more important than what you do is becoming proficient at what you do.>>.
i don't see how it's more important to become more proficient in that window washing job than working towards a more interesting and better paying job.
It makes perfect cult sense. If you don't like where you work you're probably less likely to seek association there, instead you'll turn to the "friends" at the congregation.
Besides, you've got to make the job more palatable for those Bethelites who get assigned menial jobs in cleaning rooms, laundry, pest and vermin control and scrubbing toilets--somebody's got to do it, right?
I don't think any of the GB 2.0 and their wives, nor their oh-so-very-important Helpers, are going to "help" out in any of the cleaning departments any time soon.
