Won't get fooled again ...Moon Landing.
by The Rebel inso i was fooled by the witnesses.
what can i learn from that?
not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

Since he's a member of the GB he gets to vote on every question of doctrine or procedure in the JW religion.
Then he's a member of three GB committees, writing, teaching and personnel. This specialty would definitely show him to be a person of value to question regarding procedures and the likelihood these may change.

A lot of CO's have indeed stepped down but the reason for this is that they've turned 70 or over this year and Momma WT wants them off their corporate medical self insurance. -

So, I became very ill ... what did my loving brothers do?
by EdenOne inrecently i have fallen ill with a serious case of chickenpox (shingles).
three weeks down, high fevers, and the blisters attacked mostly my scalp and face, but then also my whole upper body.
i looked horrid, truly like a mutant monster out of a nuclear disaster.

EdenOne you brought me memories of the missery of getting over chickenpox I had them the summer after graduating from High School probably the worst summer of my life. I've still got some pock marks to show for it.
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with the conditional love JW's practice. They can't help themselves, they're like animatrons, they've forgotten how to act like human beings, and only feel what they're allowed to as they obey obey obey the WT hierarchy. Best you can hope for is that some of them aren't totally mind controlled and do show some human emotion.
Take care of yourself. I wish you better times ahead. And I like the therapy prescribed by brandnew, it may not cure everything but it sure helps get over life's rough territories.

There's an account of a brother from Malta who called a GB member at the luxury hotel resort he was staying during his visit to "give a talk" in the Island.
The brother asked the GB member if he thought it was okay to stay at that very expensive resort in a place where most witnesses are rather poor and the GB member felt he didn't have to answer anything and ended up hanging up on him.
I'm just telling the gist of what I remember about the story but it is somewhere online still. It just goes to show how just like all CEO's and big religious leaders like the fancy life and live at the expense of others' hard work.

If Jackson is not available due to compassionate reasons, can other GB member take his place?
by Viva la Vida ini would think the only christian organization on this planet would be more than willingly send another gb member to australia in order to answer rcs questions, taking the place of jackson who is taking care of his ill farther.
.
if someone should show compassion to jackson those are his gb pals.

but I think Jackson's affiliation with the Writing Department is what interests the Commission.
Being in the Writing Committee would definitely be of interest for the Royal Commission. In Jackson's case there's a triple whammy, he's in the Writing Committee, the Teaching Committee and the Personnel Committee. Who better qualified than Jackson to address the setting up of policy and procedures that affect 8 million people?

Justice McClellan was annoyed by not being made aware of the authority of Jackson as a GB top dog. Material needed if any one here could ..
by umbertoecho inhello again.. splash had a pile of scriptural evidence which he uploaded and it was good material.
it established the gb as the fds and used watchtower study articles.........i don't know if he was the only one but the material flew in the face of what those men have been saying.
it proves, using their own material how they indeed think they are the ones with the direct control over millions of lives, because as you know.........they are the direct hot line to god.

Didn't the "Unthank" case contain a quote by O'Brien claiming the WTBTS was structured exactly like the Catholic Church!?!?
We haven't heard from Stephen Unthank through the Royal Commission's process so far. Is he reachable? Who can contact him?

First there's going to be that feeling of denial and disbelief then the media exposure needs to permeate the consciousness and lead to troubling dissonance.
The doubts will be there waiting for some personal shakeup that leads to awakening out of the cult.

I've mentioned it to my wife.
I brought up the News on CNN and ABC about the Royal Commission finding that 1006 pedophiles were not reported to authorities by the Aussie Branch, and then...
