Abolitionist Harriet Tubman will replace President Andrew Jackson on the US$20 bill
by oppostate in"it’s official: secretary of the treasury jack lew has announced that abolitionist harriet tubman will replace president andrew jackson on the $20 bill.
and, while jackson will still reportedly remain on the reverse side of the bill, the move is nonetheless a momentous one.. .
"naturally there are many people who will complain about this decision, but since tubman’s legacy leading slaves to freedom through the underground railroad is beyond reproach, these critics will most likely turn to defending jackson.

Dr. Ben Carson:
“Andrew Jackson was ... a tremendous president,” Carson said on Fox.
Carson insisted that he does not dislike Tubman, an African American Civil War-era abolitionist and conductor on the Underground Railroad. But he disagrees with replacing Jackson.
“I love Harriet Tubman,” Carson said. “I love what she did. But we can find another way to honor her. Maybe, uh, maybe, a $2 bill.”This guy is a real dufus! And Trump is thinking of making him Secretary of Education if he gets elected. Give me a break!
You have no idea how hardcore Harriet Tubman really was
"The woman who will be the face of the new $20 bill, Harriet Tubman, was a daring and principled fighter. Her dramatic career included defying slaveowners, smuggling dozens of slaves to freedom as part of the Underground Railroad, leading raids in the Civil War, and fighting for women's right to vote -- all of which she accomplished with a disability.
"Basically, Tubman was as tough as nails. The former slave risked her life countless times, and even performed an ad hoc dental surgery on herself while on the road for the Underground Railroad, knocking her front tooth out with a pistol, says biographer Catherine Clinton." -

@DOC
It's not really about political correctness. It's about having symbols of our country represent values that matter to an equal and free society.
The age of white man oppression over women and minorities has to end sometime. I personally am all for the change of Tubman's profile (a woman recognized for her efforts to free slaves) over Jackson's (a President who connived and ordered the expulsion and forced resettlement of of Native Americans from their ancestral lands, thousands who died in what's been called the Trail of Tears).

Any thought behind your " Avatar"
by The Rebel ini think that's the correct phrase?
anyway when i first came here, that little picture that "the rebel" hides behind, was a self portrait of a very sad man, who simply had too much knowledge.
now i feel after 7 months here, i should repaint that " avetor" give some happiness to the eyes, and a contented smile to the lips.. in short my " avetor" was a self portrait of a man with too much knowledge.

Assemblies are even more expensive now thanks to LDC
by Naoscillator inthe growing monster in the organization known as ldc is coming for your ice cream money, your children's ice cream money, and your children's children's ice cream money.
they also need the free skilled labor of all your future generations.. you know the outlandish figure read out mid-afternoon at the ca?
that represents a $10.00 per publisher charge for the privilege of using the assembly hall.

A couple, husband and wife, friends of ours for many years, used every free time and penny they had for years and years to help in RBC projects, they called it their "vacation"--even driving down on his business/work truck from New England to help rebuild KH's after Katrina.
Well, this year, no RBC, so they're getting a real vacation for a month, and they've rented a beach front chalet, are enjoying themselves, visiting sights, and sent us an email with happy smiley faces. Good for them I say, and damn the LDC and their crooked filthy-lucre loving ways.

Why can't they just leave us be. It's not like we are shouting from the roof tops they are a cult.
You said it with your last four words. "They are a cult."
Like all high-control groups, dictatorships included, they must have full control over people's lives.
Any show of individuality and independent thinking threatens them.

Is Reform inevitable for Watchtower
by Truthexplorer ingiven that it is highly likely that things are going to change in relation to watchtowers policy on safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults in australia (re australian royal commission), and england and wales (re charity commission).
could this be the start to reforming the watchtower organisation.
albeit, they are being forced to change their safeguarding policy by the laws of the land, but it may set a precedent.

I'm afraid the time for WT reform has past. There was hope when they demoted the Prez from his lofty throne and made efforts to share the power throughout the WT directors lineup, but this quickly became the oligarchy we see today.
I don't think there's much hope of the WT reforming like the Church of God/Armstrong did in becoming Grace Communion International. I would welcome such a change but they'd have to have men of integrity and dignity on top rather than the petty lovers of filthy lucre they have in the "Governing" Body.
